Lowmoor used to be a good place to work, now it’s changed. It’s not what you know it’s who you know. Over the last year all new staff brought in are all friends of senior management, admin, nurses, cleaner, carers, Some roles have even been created to give “Friends” jobs, nothing is confidential. Maintenance man thinks he runs the show, but staff can not say anything because he is one of the people who is friends with senior management. One member of staff who is also friends with senior management has brought in her whole family, staff don’t know who they can trust anymore. All the good staff are either leaving or looking for new jobs. The new manager who was brought in is friends with senior management and staff won’t go to her. Care used to be about talking to residents, and spending time with them and now it’s paperwork. Staff are scared to sit with residents now cos there is always someone who will have a go at you. There are some good staff at Lowmoor, but some staff bring down morale for everyone. The owners should listen to staff and families and take on board what is being said. Lowmoor used to be like a big family, and now I don’t like going to work anymore.

I have worked at Lowmoor for about 8 month now, I enjoy coming to work at a happy, clean and supportive environment. I love my job and enjoy coming everyday. Management are good and always helpful when I need help or advice. The care team are always going above and beyond to ensure all the residents are safe, well looked after, happy and have the best quality of life. We look after each other and our residents like our extended family and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

I have worked at lowmoor for quite a few years,and in my experience, it is a place that I wish to continue working for. I have read certain reviews, just recently published, I might add, that I strongly do not agree with The residents and their families are and always will be treated with the up most respect and dignity. At the end of the day this is the residents homes and we come into their home to work. The staff are all dedicated and very professional, no matter what their title is, they all work as a team, and do their up most to interact with all of our residents and families, they will go the extra mile to put a smile on our residents faces, we have professional working team that adapt to all of our residents individual needs, and expectations, from dietary needs, activities, personal touches, decor.. Our manager has worked hard at changing lowmoor and since she has been at lowmoor alot has been put into place, we do now have a pub, a shop, a beer garden, a tea room. The decor is always being updated, we are always trying to achieve the up most for our residents and their families

I have worked at Lowmoor for 6 months now and I absolutely love it. We are one big family and everyone is so supportive of each other. The management are amazing and always really approachable. It is a joy for me to come to work everyday and I wouldn’t change it for the world. Everyone is professional, hard working and happy to help with anything. I can see myself having a long and happy career with Lowmoor.

Lowmoor Nursing Home is a care facility that provides excellent care for the residents. The care is person centered and delivered to a high standard. The Management are approachable and will listen to any concerns raised by staff, residents and family and react to these concerns. The management often work 60+ hours a week to ensure quality of care. The carers are well trained and deliver a high standard of care. The kitchen staff provide food to a high standard. The housekeeping team ensure the home is clean and comply with infection control policies. The home has a small dedicated maintenance team who ensure the home runs smoothly. The home has an activity team who ensure that the residents are entertained. The owners attend the home 2-3 times a week at a minimum to offer advice and guidance. Lowmoor Nursing home is a well run home that puts the care of our residents first and foremost.

I have worked at Lowmoor for around 8 months now and I can confidently say that there have been major improvements. All of the staff support each other and we have an amazing management team, you can go to the manager about anything and she will give you the best advice possible. It is a really positive and supportive place to work. Everything is person centred for the residents and they are all respected and cared for well. I couldn’t be happier with the job I am in at the moment, it is an amazing place to be!

Lowmoor is a lovely place to work it is clean and well maintained it is well managed the manager is extremely supportive and friendly she will support the staff and is approachable. The staff at the home are very knowledgeable regarding the care of the residents they are highly skilled and trained to the highest standards. There is a homely atmosphere within the home and staff work as a team. The manager and the deputy ensure that staffing levels are above what is required they will come in to ensure the staffing is appropriate and safe they will work with the staff on the floor if needed. I would recommend the home and would place my own relatives in the home

I have recently started working at Lowmoor the last month, I was really nervous to start working here as I have anxiety and panic attacks. But the support I have received from management and staff has really helped me settle in and feel a part of the team. I didn't know any of the other staff members, which made it tougher for me, but these staff members were really helpful and supportive of my condition as well as always giving 100% commitment to the residents as well as the staff. I would like to thank everyone for the support and help you have given me, making me feel more confident and helping me try to overcome my anxiety.

I have worked at Lowmoor for almost 3 years. I have worked my way from care assistant to senior care assistant and I couldn't see myself doing anything different. The unit I work on Is lovely, the residents I look after are a pleasure to care for and the staff I work alongside are all brilliant. Lowmoor has had its challenges but it has picked itself back up and where we are now is a good place. The management team are brilliant, always happy to help and the door is always open to raise any concerns and they are always dealt with in the correct professional manner. Maxine the current manager has put in so much work to get lowmoor to where it is now. It now looks and feels like a loving, well looked after home and an amazing environment to work in too. The teams are growing each day and getting stronger as time goes on. From the Admin team, kitchen, nurses, domestic, management, maintinence, seniors,carers, families and residents.I thank Lowmoor and all the staff in it for making work life enjoyable and rewarding. And all the residents for letting us into their home to care for them x

I am proud to be part of the Lowmoor team at such an exciting time. Big changes have been made and will continue to be made and the main focus is the well being of our residents. I have found Lowmoor to be a very caring home. You can see there has been a lot of investment in the place with all bedrooms and living spaces being recently refurbished as well as the them creating a pub for the residents and family which is lovely. I think it's quite obvious the new management team have let a lot of the old staff go hence all the negative reviews. The residents at Lowmoor have a lot of complicated needs and I know quite a few of them have been served notice from several other local homes so I think the team are doing a great job!

Well I don’t even know where to start with this!! When I first joined the team at lowmoor they welcomed me with open arms like I had worked there for years!! All the residents are cared for and looked after and loved by all of the staff we are one massive family in there. The manager Maxine is the best manager any home could wish for she has an open door for anyone that needs it!! Not only does she keep that building running she is amazing with her staff we always stick together in lowmoor and the love that is felt in the building it is bursting through the walls. Here’s to many more years of me working at lowmoor I love all my staff and residents!!!!
