Played here yesterday. I had heard a lot of good things about Hollinwell but it turned out much better than I expected. A lot better. I had a great front nine, just 6 over, so I thought "this is going to plan" . . but the wheels came off from the 13th and then this magnificent, tough course got the better of me. I managed to bogie the last to save face! Loved it.

An excellent test of golf with great true running greens and fantastic day out. Practice facilities are good, driving range, chipping and putting. Not an easy track with plenty of heather, long grass off the fairways, but suits a long straight drive.

As a golf pro, I have been fortunate to have played over 80 of the top 100 golf courses in Great Britain. This was the 5th time I have played here and it is still a delight. Great reception by the Professional, excellent layout and the course appears to have had a heather regeneration project. The condition was great for November and hardly any mud on the shoes. In my top 20 and definitely top 5 of heathland courses in GB.

What a fantastic golf course. 2nd time I've played here & will be back. Was used as an Open qualifying course for the 150 Open at St Andrews & can see why. A great test of golf. If you haven't been go there, you won't be disappointed.

We played at Holinwell recently, for the Sunday afternoon green fee of around £160 a head the greens were poor. Such a great layout and people very nice, but ultimately the greens are what stand out at these better courses. They were long and needed what seemed like more care. Rest of course was not bad, but the experience didn't stand up to the price tag.

We watched the final open qualifying here, I've played here a few times and it's a true test of golf, they set the course up so difficult for the open qualifying, it was brutal, hard fast greens and narrow fairways, its also layed out on a huge acreage and a pleasure to walk round. It's a must play and not for high handicaps.

My favourite golf course wow what a challenge. Best to stay on the fairways as can be a challenge in the rough and the food at the halfway hut is delicious enjoy

What an absolute joy this course was. Every hole offered something different and we all said the next hole can't be any better but they were! Amazing place, wonderful course and super friendly people. Can't fault this place and would highly recommend it.

A beautiful course in fantastic condition! I spent more time in the “pink” than I would have liked but what a day. One of the finest golf courses in the country. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely stunning place - course and greens were in amazing condition, pro shop and club house staff were very welcoming and the scenery whilst you play is glorious. It's a tough track where the heather will punish wayward shots, but not overly long so (if only I could putt!) birdie opportunities are there to be had.

One of the best inland golf courses in England. Always in fantastic condition. A real treat and worth making an effort to visit.

The is one of the best courses in Nottinghamshire if not Uk. My son was having junior coaching lessons so I tried out the food and it was amazing thank you. I would love to play the course but the weather was evil. It’s definitely on my bucket list!

Very cool little place for you rc crawlers of all sizes , there is a drift track and a grass track for the fast stuff and £10 per person (£5 under 16) is worth it , we will be back
