Well, as luck would have it Shaun and Roger opened a shop a few miles away from our house earlier this year - result! They have been there from day one for us, so we could order, and help install our tank, supply the tank fittings and dry goods. Having worked in the industry myself, I have a lot of respect for a shop that won't let you leave without giving resolution to a problem, or with the wrong livestock. The staff are also very knowledgeable and helpful too. Where else is there better to hang out, and have a friendly laugh and geek it up about corals and fish. I'd say this is one of the best! This shop is definitely worth a visit.

First ordered I've made from the ocean project and all I can say is WOW! The colours & quality of the frags are amazing and the packing is the best I've ever recived everything was still nice and warm. I will definitely be making more orders in the future and would highly recommend to anybody looking for quality corals 👌

An amazing visit to an absolutely brilliant shop with the best advice around. Stunning selection of corals arranged and shown in a way that makes selection easy. Low height coral tables mean you can relax while gazing down on the best corals in the UK, no more bending down peering through glass!! Thank you Shaun, I Will 100% be back soon. Excellent shop. Hugely knowledgeable and friendly staff, and a stunning collection of Coral and fish. Ask about Shaun's soup, made a big difference in terms of bio diversity and filter feeders in my tank. One of the few shops in the country worth travelling to visit!

A hidden gem of a shop. Lots of variety in great healthy corals and a knowledgeable owner. Fish were all very active and a good selection in accessories and additives. If your a reefer, this is a must visit!

The store is fantastic. Shaun and the rest of the team are really friendly and helpful and their collection of corals and other livestock is amazing. I'd be in there every day if I could. Definitely recommend.

Since finding the ocean project after a house move to be our new LFS I can honestly say I've blown away by the standard of the shop, but more importantly the quality of the service. So many other shops disregard new commercial to the hobby, instead I've been met with open arms and honest advise. These guys are not about selling stock, the priority is clearly customer service. On my 4th visit and with the intention of buying a new range of spa corals to progress from my softies, I was guided towards a lab quality water test to ensure my tank was ready. Not patronising comments, instead true advice with the clear intention of retained customer. They even put up with my tag along children rewarding them with an ocean project sticker for good behaviour. Top marks guys and I don't intent on going elsewhere

Just incredible. I've been expecting to travel far as I set up my new reef tank, and now discover this absolute gem right here in Dorset. Stunning corals and fish, truly stunning, which can only go hand-in-hand with next-level experience. Shaun is also excellent at sharing his wealth of experience. I'd travel far, very far, to visit.

Having kept marine tanks for over 10 years The Ocean Project is by far the finest marine shop I have visited. They have THE best selection of corals I have ever seen at sensible prices. I’m a stick head and the selection is amazing. LPS and fish, again something for everyone. Dry goods galore and knowledge, well if you need advice, Shaun will arm you with everything you need to know to run a successful reef tank. I’ll post some pics of some frags from I bought from another retailer and put them side by side, admittedly sent by post but really nice pieces but compared to TOP, well go see for yourself! I did and 5 hour round trip. You won’t be disappointed!

Best marine specialist shop in the South! Always friendly and always very well stocked. Shaun and the team are only to happy to help and listen, my 3rd visit worth the 1.5hr drive everytime. 6 stars

Shaun is a fantastic ,one in a million type of guy . A couple of days ago he spent almost 5 hours helping me to move a 1300 litre marine aquarium in a very tricky house into a van to transport over to Manchester . I was lucky enough to get to have a good chat with him , and his knowledge in all things aquatic is amazing. I will definitely make a day trip to his business THE OCEAN PROJECT , even though he’s almost 6 hrs from Manchester . Hi have bought corals from the Ocean project a couple of times now. All I can say is wow… the corals are well packaged and a lot bigger than expected. The corals had great polyp extension as soon as I popped them in my tank and some were even out in the bag. The customer service is also amazing, with great communication and answers all the questions I had. If you are a newbie reefer or a well seasoned reefer. Add this amazing store to your go to places you won’t be disappointed.

I placed my first order with The Ocean Project at the end of April, I have to say I was very pleased with the corals I received and the customer service provided by Shaun and his team. I have since placed another order earlier this month (May) and again I am very pleased with the corals. I am planning on visiting the shop in person and am looking forward to it, not sure my bank account will be as happy as me after though 🤣

Brought a second hand tank from shaun and rodger! They went above and beyond to get it in my house! Even ordered me some extra bits that they made sure fitted the tank! Very happy with the customer service and highly recommended

Absolutely stunning collection of coral available, very friendly and helpful service. It was definitely worth the drive and I will be back soon for sure.
