Stayed in the brand new lodges for my birthday break. These lodges are fantastic and done to a high standard. Spotless throughout, very friendly staff and amazing food!! All in all we had a fantastic relaxing break and would return.

Usually go here every Friday for full English breakfast and it's excellent so we tried their 3 course Christmas Dinner today. Everything was spot on - the food cooked to perfection - service and atmosphere brilliant. Its a carvery but its plated up for you - so much Christmas dinner on my plate it could've fed me for 3 days! Highly recommend πŸ‘Œ

Really lovely and well situated caravan park. We actually stayed in one of the cottages which looked really new and were well set up and furnished. Would have given 5* but for a few little niggles. - The wifi is awful, I wouldn't mind them not having it but don't advertise it if it's so slow as to be useless - The kitchen was really sparse, no peeler, no chopping board, no grater, no serving dishes or bowls. All fine but it would be good to know we needed to bring it - A kids play area would be fantastic - Water pressure had two uncontrollable states, dribble and power wash both of which were almost unusable

Last minute let down Larrys. Booked this place in November partly for the famed onsite facilities of a bar/restaurant called 'The Hide'. They sent us a text the day before going that the facilities will be closed for winter. Gutted. The splendid Orby Red Lion got the custom instead. The site is nice, clean and well-placed, but avoid the otherwise lovely Blossom 2 lodge in winter, due it's proximity to the main road. The lodges could do with curtains on the rear, as you feel a bit exposed by the big glass entrance in the lounge, and car headlights can be a bit distracting for those near the road. Also the rear deck is a bit small for the hot tub, so you struggle removing and placing the cover. Phone signal is a bit patchy here, but the lodges have free (but slow) wifi. The lodges have three rooms; lounge, bedroom and bathroom). The lounge and bedroom each have modern large tvs and great heating systems. The welcome pack of mini Prossecos, toiletries and dish wash aids are a nice touch, plus the gowns and slippers. Taxis are a bit sparse here unless you book well in advance.

2 large ponds full of good quality carp, roach and rudd. Statics site seems to be compact but evenly spaced. Good quality club bar serving breakfast, lunch and evening meals, drinks good quality of wines and spirits, a large selection of beers, lager's and cider. Seating both inside and outside open to the members of the public at all times.

A Proposal Marred by Disappointing Hot Tub Experience I visited this hot tub holiday destination in May'23 with my girlfriend for what was supposed to be a romantic and memorable getaway, culminating in a special proposal. Unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. From the outset, the hot tub was a major letdown. Not only was it cold on the first day/night, but it was also shockingly filthy. We encountered hair, muck, and even brown foam, which completely tainted the atmosphere we had hoped for during this special occasion. In an attempt to address these issues, I called and left messages detailing our experience. Regrettably, despite these efforts, I have yet to receive any response since our visit in May. The lack of communication from the staff was not only disappointing but also added to the overall frustration of the situation. What was meant to be a joyous and romantic proposal was instead marred by the subpar condition of the hot tub and the lack of support from the staff. It's disheartening when a supposedly relaxing and luxurious escape turns into a series of disappointments. I sincerely hope that future visitors have a more positive experience, as our special moment was unfortunately overshadowed by these issues.

When we arrived, we were made welcome, the accommodation was great as we were only a couple, plenty of room and the hot tub was great lovely to relax in after a busy day walking. The surroundings were lovely and quiet very peaceful. On leaving we had breakfast in the restaurant, excellent would recommend. Just like to say thanks to all the staff, assisted us in anything we needed. We will be back

First time we've visited here/ the Hide bar/restaurant and will do again. We had a terrific cooked breakfast (1 vegetarian, 1 not) both were excellent and great value. Lovely, welcoming and friendly staff. Very dog friendly and nice views of the fishing lake.

Tried the cafe today. Pleasantly surprised how nice the food was, although not a large choice the service was good and the food was reasonably priced for what you got. Definitely go again.

Loved our time last week, relaxing peaceful and near to Ingoldmels, Skegness, dog friendly beaches and reasonable prices, with no additional costs to get into an entertainment complex for nothing really My only gripe, is that the cafe/ bar closes at 5pm during the week and 8pm at night. However the food is really nice and again reasonably priced

I love staying here - it's peaceful and relaxing. Hubby gets to fish whilst I read and enjoy the hot tub! Staff are lovely and housekeeping couldn't be more helpful.

Unbelievable !! This place is so tranquil. We stayed in the waterlily cottage. I cannot recommend this place enough, we've only just got back and we're already booking up for next year. It's really dog friendly too. The hide for food and drink is really worth going to too.

Called for a look around whilst on holiday in the area, had a pleasant walk around then called in the restaurant for a light breakfast, the pancakes and bacon n egg sandwich were really good, the waitress was very friendly and efficient, will maybe have a days fishing there when back in the area.

Such a wonderful place to stay! We stayed in a lodge with a hot tub. The lodge was very clean and looked after, the hot tub was private and not overlooked. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, the food onsite was delicious. Overall the park is very quiet and peaceful. The park is located a short drive to local towns and amenities. Housekeeping team were lovely, they came on our second day to check everything was ok and as we were out they left us a note instead which was a lovely touch. Thank you for a wonderful break!

This was the most dirtiest, un-hygienic place we have ever stayed. There was dirty pots in the cupboard on our arrival, mould around the shower and all in the bathroom, not sealed around toilet pan, dirty carpet that looked like it needed a good vax, the kettle was full of limescale and i don’t think had ever seen a clean, every time you turned the toaster on it tripped the electric, the shower head was covered in limescale and grime and to top it off we were greeted by fly eggs whilst enjoying a dip in the hot tub. We rang the emergency line and reception which we got no answer so resorted to ringing the maintenance team who sent someone down, they told us it was fluff in the hot tub and as you can clearly see this is not fluff. They emptied the hot tub and refilled which left us without this for a day and half whilst it heated up and we didn’t even get a sorry. We then went to get in the hot tub again and guess what was there more fly eggs!!! We have been eaten alive which we believe is out of the beds, which also resulted in us leaving a day earlier than we should as we were sick of feeling dirty. Absolutely disgusted with this experience as it was for a birthday trip. The only positive was it was a nice site just a shame they don’t look after the accommodation like the grounds. Hoseasons should hang their heads in shame, this is no way an autograph collection. I work on a sewage works and the grounds there are more hygienic than this lodge.

A little place of peace and tranquility in beautiful surroundings. The Dragon fly lodge with a hot tub was amazing; decorated beautifully with all the little extra touches to make the whole experience at Herons Mead really stand out from the crowd. Added to this a south facing and private courtyard with a glass of Prosecco and a sunset to die for, life doesn’t get much better! Super bar and restaurant on site with a first class breakfast and with such helpful and friendly staff - what more can you ask for? Thank you, a weekend of much needed rest and total relaxation. Would highly recommend !
