We've
missed
out
on
having
a
Sunday
lunch
at
this
fantastic
pub
several
times,
as
always
busy,
but
on
this
visit
we
got
lucky
(We
tend
to
make
impromptu
decisions
when
going
for
a
meal,
but
I'd
recommend
booking
in
advance
if
traveling
any
distance).
We
decided
to
eat
at
one
of
the
bar
tables,
rather
than
the
main
dining
area,
which
is
rather
like
a
large
conservatory.
A
bit
cosy
perhaps,
but
less
busy,
next
to
a
window,
and
had
a
good
warm
atmosphere,
Right
from
the
beginning,
service
was
excellent,
with
attentive,
friendly
and
helpful
staff
taking
our
orders,
and
there
for
general
chat.
There
were
plenty
of
meat
choices
available
for
your
roast,
we
both
opted
for
the
beef
topside.
Our
food
arrived
within
10-15
minutes,
which
was
perfect
timing.
The
vegetable
selections
arrived
separately
in
dishes,
and
like
the
main
were
equally
well
presented
(see
pictures).
Everything
was
hot,
and
perfectly
cooked,
with
proper
roast
potatoes
&
Yorkshire
pudding.
The
beef
was
a
great
choice,
both
tasty
&
tender,
and
the
side
vegetables,
which
included
red
onion
were
also
very
nice.
I
tend
to
eat
with
my
eyes
first,
and
this
not
only
looked
delicious,
but
tasted
delicious
too.
Compared
to
some
other
pubs
around
in
the
area,
it
is
slightly
more
expensive,
but
for
food
of
this
quality,
it's
well
worth
it,
and
clearly
the
reason
it's
always
so
busy.
Since
some
of
the
others
we've
enjoyed
around
this
area
have
now
closed,
we'll
most
definitely
be
returning
here
when
we
next
get
the
opportunity.
Fantastic
food,
warm
&
friendly
atmosphere,
perfect.
