I visit here with my elderly mother when I visit Rossendale however the meat does not appear to be the same. The last two times the meat has been dry, chewy and fatty. I did mention it on my latest visit but the person who served me apologised in a very abrupt manner, I really did not mean to cause offence and I am sorry if it appeared that way but I was just making you aware of a genuine issue my mother and I had. When returning home it was again fatty and chewy along with the addition of a dark hair which has put us off. I used to enjoy the meat from here but unfortunately will not be visiting again.

Visiting Rawtenstall was introduced to this gem of a butchers, home made meat and potato pies, sausage rolls and much more produce, worth every penny, don't change the meat and potato pie recipe, please. Will be back. It's all quality full to the brim stuff, likewise the veggie samosa. Well done the team Harrison's.

Fabulous service and so friendly. Helped a vegetarian with a beautiful piece of beef for family and gave me tips on how to cook it. My family wouldn't want meat from anywhere else now. They always give great tips on cooking and make gorgeous meals.

The best butchers in Lancashire for me and I travel over half an hour to get to it. Top quality meat and the ready made meals are second to non.

Our 'go to' butcher even though it is a 25 minute drive. Everything we have had in the last three years has been first class. If you have not tried their short rib, slow cooked, you must, absolutely gorgeous.

Best Butchers ever . Although I do not live in Rawtenstall anymore I travel 9 miles once a month to get my meat .My son who lives in Stockport and his friend who lives in Didsbury ask me to buy their pork &stilton pies .

Great service with a wide selection of top quality local meat and pies. Recommend trying meat and potatoe pies. Beef on the rib always available for a special Sunday roast.

Excellent in every way. Choice hygienic display service second to none. I just wish you would open a shop in Lytham as no butcher here and lots of hotels restaurants. I'm sure they would love it if you could!!!!!

There's always a queue on Saturday morning but the choice, quality and value are hard to beat.

Bought a 2 rib rib of beef on the bone cooked beautiful melt in your mouth. Best I've bought for year's. Always friendly and willing to give advice. Don't go anywhere else in the valley.
