Look at my breakfast!! It tastes as good as it looks. Can't wait to go back and try the dinner menu. Great place, great music and great service.

I saw this place as I was walking by on the first day that it opened and stopped for some food. The food was amazing! I went in there again today looking for a breakfast. It was past the time of the breakfast menu but they went out of their way to still serve me what I wanted. The breakfast I had was quite possibly the best English breakfast that I’ve ever had and way beyond the average common greasy fry up. Their whole menu looks amazing too and I will keep going back until I’ve tried everything on it. It’s a lovely place to sit also. Very friendly atmosphere. I can’t rate it enough. You won’t be disappointed if you go here. UPDATE! Came back again (added two more photos). Brilliant once again. I had the oysters and the mussels 👌🏽. They even let me try a sample of another dish which was greatly appreciated. I will be back again soon, for sure. UPDATE NUMBER 2! See the last two photos. No words needed 🫶🏽👌🏽.

Just WOW. This restaurant is seriously seriously good. Every aspect is completely homemade and you can tell. The menu itself is so refreshing and quirky, unlike anywhere else in Bournemouth. I could of eaten every single dish on the menu. The owners are the chef's, you can just tell how much passion and love they have for food. Incredibly reasonable, gorgeous setting. Cannot wait to return, oh and dog friendly!!!!! Thank you for an amazing evening, we can't wait to take all our friends here.

Fantastic cosy place! We were there with my husband and our friend. We are delighted with the decor and amazingly friendly service! The food is delicious, each dish is presented with attention to detail. Everything is well seasoned. We highly recommend to anyone looking for something different. Very affordable prices. I went for dinner with my sister and was amazing ! Perfect portion, very tasty, helpful and friendly staff and finally something new and interesting in card menu. We miss that type of restaurant in the heart of Bournemouth. Definitely we will come back. Thank You for lovely experience.

Top quality locally sourced vegan options! Had a beautifully presented lunch with family at The Place. Service was great but most impressive was the food! If you like mushrooms you have to come try a mushroom dish at this restaurant (Mushroom foraging is a pastime of this family!) The flavours they managed to get into the vegan 'Scallops' (king oyster mushrooms) and the Porcini Mushroom tagliatelle were so impressive. Great value for money. Get down there and support local family run businesses!

We had a table for nine. The service was very good. Food didn't take too long. Very good vegan options. I had stuffed aubergine with couscous.

Bournemouth needed a place like this! Absolutely amazing food, lovely local and atmosphere for a such a good price. I definitely recommend this place to any food lovers. I will be back soon!

This restaurant is a must try! Me and my family had the three course Christmas dinner and it was honestly so good that we could not stop eating!! The portions of food are good and the flavours fantastic! The service is great too and the atmosphere in there is so cozy and comfortable! I can’t wait for my next visit! Ps. My nan was too excited to start eating so she did not take a picture of her main but you can see how much she loved it 😂

The Place was amazing! My partner and I loved the food and service. Simon and Dani helped us decide on what to get. I ordered the heavenly Turkish Eggs and my partner had the full English. Simon makes the best lattes! He pulls a clean and smooth brew each and every time. When you’re around fast coffee all the time, it’s nice when there is no bitterness or a burnt taste to your coffee. Just the absolute best! The food is seasoned so well and the portions are very filling. Truly the service is a joy because everyone is so nice and you feel like you’re around old friends. This is a family run restaurant that will have you coming back again and again!

We had a lovely breakfast last weekend, great breakfast choices incl good veggie options. We tried the Turkish eggs and the special Portuguese breakfast sandwich, great coffee too. We will definitely be returning very soon, more dishes to try! Service was very good and attentive.

So good, popped in for a cheeky lunch with the fam. Food was fantastic, fresh and homemade. Would definitely recommend the Korean sandwich and the pork belly was cooked perfectly with the fat nicely rendered. Very good value, I would say the portions are actually too generous. A must visit.

Had a superb brunch at this lovely little spot. The Franchesina sandwich had a delicious piri piri tomato sauce that would have made a wonderful Bloody Mary by itself. Wild mushroom bagel similarly tasty!
