Hello…went to the Baptist ER on Wednesday night. I went in at 6:30 pm until 10:30. Everyone I came in touch with treated me with kindness. I was very impressed. Ivan, my ER nurse, was the absolute best. He was amazing with me and the other 7 patients he was dealing with at the time. I am truly grateful.

Soo I may have nearly died... I hesitated in coming to a hospital due to lack of health insurance and not knowing the severity of my situation. I'm glad I chose to come here. It's 30 minutes from where I live but the staff is absolutely incredible. There's a cafeteria and a Starbucks on the first floor too! It's a very clean & safe hospital. Throughout being on the edge and not knowing what was wrong with me, having to get poked by constant needles and not being able to use the bathroom without bedpans or catheters/ all the very scary situations I've been in, the nurses are very considerate about everything. I've seen so many nurses and doctors in my week of being here. We met a nurse in the ICU that was so full of energy. She was very sweet, funny and helped us even though she wasn't our assigned nurse. My mother was going on about my relationship to her and she kept things partial but was very engaged in the conversation and so we began to know her by the nickname Switzerland and every time she passed by she'd wave and brighten the room (I believe her name was Marianne?) Thank you! Thank you to Marianne, Vilma, Nicole, Alphba, Stephanie, D'ara, Christine, Jaylene, Haydee, Joan, Grecia, Yeni, Joseph with the respiratory team (He was from the ICU and was very sweet, any time he passed by and I needed help he was there, even when the nurses had to draw blood and I was freaking out, they all 3 tag teamed to talk and distract me from the needle and it was a really funny experience) Thank you Dr.Michael Hernandez (I owe you some Sonny's!), Dr. Hailey Schuyler, Dr.Altman and Dr.Janelle Uruttia. I'm very bad at remembering names so I'm not 100% on the names of the nurses that took good care of me (which is sad). These nurses run around constantly day and night and you can tell they're exhausted with how much they have to do and the things they have to see, but they still remain really hospitable and sweet. I can't do much to repay all that's been done for me but I do want to say thank you. 💜 These people are amazing and saved my life and I can't fully even remember their names but I remember the faces and the way they made me feel safe and taken care of. Thank you so very much. I've been between 5 different rooms and the ICU for a few days but mostly the hope building, and there's the hope that I'll be better and going home in a few days. The recovery has been long but I'm so grateful to be able to breathe and walk again. My all time favorite nurse so far is taking care of me, Vilma is such a funny person. She goes above and beyond and considers things you might need before you even think to ask. I feel a lot better than when I first came here and the staff has not only kept me alive when I've had strep, Rhyno virus and a very extreme bacterial pneumonia that got into my blood stream but they actively have made a really scary experience much easier. I'm so happy I came here. I had both good and bad experiences I'd never imagined and it's definitely been a journey. I'll be back to visit and say thank you to everyone as soon as I'm better. ❤️

I’m in extreme pain as I write this.. got here at the new Baptist in Kendall and I’ve been here waiting for two hours now. Can’t feel my big toe due to the amount of pain and I’m on an empty waiting area. I never come to hospital for the minimum things and the day I really need it is when I have not been seen in time. My pain is on a scale of 10 literally.. I’m rocking my self and shaking as I write this at this point.

In my opinion, Baptist main ER is the best ER in Miami, Fl. The ER staff is outstanding! Everyone was very professional and sympathetic. The doctors, Nurse Practitioners, RNs, Techs, were very professional, knowledgeable, and fast. Congratulations! And may God bless you all seven fold.

I dread going to the ER but had no choice, I needed medical attention without further delay. In less than five hours, I was home with a diagnosis - I imagined being there a lot longer! There appears to be a system in place that traffics the people through the ER quicker than ever before and everyone was super nice. The attending physician actually made me feel cared for. Thank you to the attending nurse staff - they were amazing!

Excellent service. The doctor and nurses were warm, friendly and professional! I went through emergency and didn't have to wait long for test results. Thank you all! PS I also visited the cafeteria and ate a vegan spaghetti meal with vegetables. It was delicious! Keep up the good work Baptist!

The emergency room isn’t the best place to go for a good time, but I had a warm welcome and good service. I was cared for by concern people. Nurses Jonathan & Ernie did their best to make me comfortable- with help from nurse Daniel when the shifts changed. TY Dr. Radha!

The place is it looks caotic at glance but they are actually well organized . The night I was in was packed , but over all I got attended pretty fast. What I wish they put more effort is in that room where they place the patients with the incline chairs to administer medication . It is a row of about 8-10 chairs separated by a medium board/ wall , but after each patient treated there ( usually you can spend 1-5 hrs ) depending your situation THEY DO NOT SANITIZE THE CHAIRS AFTER EACH PATIENT UNOCCUPIED THIS CHAIR ! And that’s basic health sanitation. They truly should take that extra important step. The employees is fantastic, diverse in age , gender , ethnicity, well educated and very professional and knowledgeable, they treat you with great respect and courtesy . Over all a great ER department .

I came in approximately around 5:00 am with horrible pain on my entire body and with a low grade fever, they took me in immediately. The nurse and the Dr. Saw me right away, the lab, IV, pain meds and the X-RAY all done immediately. I was very much satisfied. Great shift, great team. Everyone was awesome. Outstanding quality care, from the beginning to the end. I noticed that although there was a change in shift, I was still cared for. I’m thankful the Dr. Found out the roots of the illness. Thank you everyone.

Excellent service from beginning to discharge. Can’t say enough about my nurses Susan and Brianne as well as Dr. Mason . All were very impressive in every way. I was impressed that the Doctor arrived at a diagnosis based on my history and the medical tests which made the visit more beneficial from my point of view as it was superior to just going to a center for the Doppler tests alone. Big improvement over last visit many years ago.

Lobby looked clean. Nurse was amazing. Great attitude. Relayed information in an easy way to understand. Was very helpful. Made the experience as pleasant as it could be. The doctor was really nice as well. Great bedside manners. Also explained everything well. Nurse called me as soon as results came in as promised. Feel comfortable visiting again if needed.

The pediatric care was spectacular today. Especially nurse Deanna! I really appreciated how much everyone went above and beyond to treat my daughter (5) like she mattered and help her understand what was happening while caring for her fears. I felt listened to and was thoroughly explained everything.

Wonderful experience. The main nurse attending was very helpful and I felt that she cared about my condition and tended to me to the maximum degree. Attending doctor was precise and extremely knowledgeable about my condition and consequent solutions. Well done, Baptist.

If you are a law abiding citizen that works hard and pay taxes stay away. You have been warned! The doctors don't have a clue and because they follow "protocols" and "procedures" it is totally a mindless, thoughtless process. I was prescribed the wrong medication in spite the fact I had warned the Dr those medications did not work for me. They don't listen; they only follow "protocols".The nurse discharged me even though I was not ready to leave. When I had to return to the ER due to the wrong meds another Dr. said he didn't have a clue what I had. They billed me and my insurance thousand$$$$ of dollars for such a poor job and terrible experience. All they care about is $$$$, not your health. Nonetheless, undocumented illegal aliens with no id and no $$ do not pay a red cent because the ER sends the bill to Medicaid. At this ER it pays to break the law. Disgusting. .

Took my daughter, there was no wait time, nurses and doctor were friendly and helping. Did their best to make my daughter feel comfortable and at ease. Doctor took his time with us, he addressed my concerns and answered all my questions. Excellent overall

The nurses at that facility were incredibly kind and provided some of the best service I've experienced at a hospital. However, despite their kindness, my needs were not fully met. When I described all my symptoms to the doctor, including my week-long painful cough, and requested antibiotics, he gave me a strange look and condescendingly asked if I had studied medicine, implying that I didn't know what I was talking about. This made me feel dismissed and unheard. In addition, while the nurses themselves were kind and sweet, a group of them outside my room made so much noise discussing their personal lives that I found it difficult to relax. Their loud and unprofessional behavior, including the use of profanity, showed a lack of consideration for the patients in the rooms.

A great experience!!! From the techs, to the nurses and Dr’s. Perfect!!! PS:The nurse in training is superb! She is going to excel, in whatever she ends up doing in the medical field. Great job Baptist Health.

Surprisingly fast and extremely courteous. The Dr was asking me questions before I got a chance to sit on the exam table. The staff is very accommodating and sweet. Gone are the days of sitting in the ER for hours and having nothing done.

I arrived at noon vials and labs were done pretty quickly. Saw the doctor around 3pm, she said do to my lab results I will need to be admitted ( mind you I’m in the waiting area) Got a bed in the ED at 4:30pm. A nurse stopped by to hookup the monitor. I called a nurse to see if I can eat something at 8pm he said I needed to wait for my CT results which was not my order. I saw other doctor at 11pm. Long story short I was moved to a room at 2:17am

Came in earlier this evening after slipping, falling and hitting my head on the floor. The place was packed and busy, but the staff were extremely efficient, organized and friendly. They managed to move quickly, but they were very thorough. While the Dr’s, Nurses and CT techs were wonderful, my transporter, Jeremiah was the sweetest. Very calm, friendly young man. It was also great to see several FIU graduates at Baptist. Made me proud. Thank you and keep up the great work, the hiring of competent, courteous individuals and training.

Without going into details, I recently visited the ER, which was great under such circumstances. The staff were all very thoughtful, knowledgeable, courteous, efficient in timeliness. Ultimately I required admitting and surgery, again with such a traumatic event all worked out smoothly and cannot be happier to live by and count on this hospital as my safe haven for expert care and attention. It is a happy place where staff all seem to be very happy and reflects upon it in their response & demeanor towards patients. A special shout out to Dr Michael Gonzalez, surgeon & his assistant Erika kind, thoughtful and unassuming. In recovery the nurses and aides post operation: Raquel, Indira, Kenia, Helga high spirited and patient. Last but not least the facility; I had the cutest mini suite that made me feel like I was on vacation.

The service in the emergency room was excellent; I received quick attention. Dr. James is a great listener and understood my needs. After my chest x-ray, he was able to diagnosed my issues and prescribed the right medication. Nurse Veronica was also helpful & caring. Thank you to the staff for a great experience.

It started off great. Was admitted quickly and saw a neurologist quickly. He ordered MRI and steroids. 9 hours later NOTHING has happened. I was just given food (dinner) an hour ago, my first and only meal since I arrived this morning. So disappointed. Now I’m being kept overnight and MRI will not be done until tomorrow. An entire day here with absolutely nothing accomplished

Great experience, everyone was so nice and respectful. The ladies at the reception area, nurse who arranged my admittance/briefly reviewing docs from my doctor, so warm and pleasant The assistants who got me settled after Dr. Rebe assessed me (wonderful bedside manner). From there to the diagnostic area—staff was very assuring and efficient. Received a good report and Dr. Rebe advised no overnight stay was required. Wonderful news, after a very stressful late afternoon. My evening at Baptist was just what I needed.

The whole team was fast from start to end. They made me felt I was in good hands and safe. I came with a chest paint and palpitations. I had a reaction to a medication while been treated. and i was having a panic attack . They call the doctor, nurses helping me out. I felt like crying and desperate. The doctor and nurse hold me. Doctor checked me and made me felt I was doing better , even thought I thought I wasn't. Nurse apologized 10000 times bc of the medecine and felt so bad bc it was never her fault it was my body reacting to it.

Did n0t 🚫 have that good of experience with the lady doxtor, but not horrible I deffinatelove to applaud my nurses nurses assistants and transporter. I wasnt make much sense because of how bad i felt, they were very compassionate, very caring and understanting .. when both my blood pressure and cluce dropped to a dangerous low, all i was able to say i told you all i felt really bad, i became somewhat unresponsive and scared to death, they did not leave my side for a second until i started getting better as opposed to that dr.. i dont know if she was just busy or what. The nurse The nurses assistants And a transporter that happened to be walking by and cared enough to offer to stay with me.. They were amazing.. i wanna ta take them home with me

Doctors, nurses, Nursing Assistants, pharmacists, Medical assistants, lab techs in all areas, plus the housekeeping and maintenance crews all were fantastic. I am from California and the doctors there couldn't find out what was wrong with me. My body was in so much pain. Everything was coming out normal. Muscle spasms was all that could be decided. After some additional questions from the doctors here, additional tests were done that Kaiser had not done. I am eternally grateful to the staff here. It will take some time to heal but being pointed in the right direction has helped me. Thank you again to everyone there.

All staff were awesome. When you go to the emergency room you’re stressed about everything going on but the staff was comforting and made a difficult situation seem much more pleasant. I want to extend a thanks to Dr Leslie. He was just awesome overall. Very knowledgeable and had a great demeanor!! Thanks for making the experience less stressful.

My mother is 93 and fell and hit her head bad in the middle of the night. It was bleeding everywhere. I drove her to the ER and were promptly greeted VERY nicely by everyone in the reception room (there were not a lot of people waiting in the room to be seen). We immediately went to a room in the back. The tending nurses and technicians were very nice. A physician quickly came in and attempted to clean the wound. I expressed concern that my mother hit her head hard on a terrazzo floor and a CT scan was ordered (which is what I wanted). I was very happy with everything so far. But, then, we just waited. They rarely came back to tell us anything. Someone drew blood to do a panel, and then we waited and waited. We arrived at the ER around 1am. At 4am, they came to take my mother for the CT scan. I just felt that was a very long time to just wait with an anxious elderly person. I would have been nice if they kept checking on us and updating us as to what they were doing. It wasn't crowded and there were very few employees that I could see. We then waited more. We were told it would take 40 minutes to read the CT scan. The nurse came in periodically and was very nice but didn't offer much in the way of what was happening. Finally, around 6am I went out and asked the nurse if we could leave; my mother's blood pressure had been up earlier but it had come down and she wanted to leave. She said she didn't have that authority. I asked about the CT scan because it had been a long time since my mother had it and came back to the room. She said she was not permitted to tell me but would call the doctor. Shortly thereafter, almost immediately, the Dr came in and said the scan was good. We were very grateful. The nurse then came in and unhooked my mother to all the wires and was nice enough to wheelchair my mother outside. I certainly don't mind waiting my turn; I understand an ER is busy. It just seemed to me that it was very understaffed as far as people tending to the patients. I am grateful for the nice nurses and technicians, and the Dr was nice. It just took a very, very long time - which didn't seem necessary. As a side note. The room was very clean and comfortable in the ER and we appreciate that.
