Superbowl Sunday. I want some Nachos! I've been coming to La Tapia for 10 years and have been coming in once every 2 weeks. Why? To buy half a pint of guacamole and half a pint of their Pico the gallo! The guacamole is so fresh and creamy. The Pico de Gallo has the right amount of kick and not too spicy. Put both of these on nachos or tacos! I also like to get 1 lb of their delicious carnitas. I usually eat half a pound for one meal and save the other half in the freezer. They also have a full tacqueria where you can buy burritos, tacos, quesedillas! Once in a blue moon I'll come early in the morning just to buy their breakfast burrito w/ chorizo and eggs! They also sell all types of tortillas and Mexican goodies and drinks. Metered parking around and CASH ONLY

Not enough words to describe how GREAT this place is. Real Mexican food, Family owned business sine early 70’s. We love this place soo much that we recently flew from Florida to California and their shop was in our itinerary for our trip 😉 Great Burritos, amazing Chicharrones and Carnitas, beans, Rice, etc. and their Tortillas are delicious. This place also offers lots of Mexican spices, candies and anything you need to prep. Your own Mexican food at home. Their customer service is SUPERB, they will always take care of you. If you live in the Bay Area YOU HAVE TO TRY this place, if you are vacationing around San Francisco make sure you stop by and bring home some exquisite food you will NOT regret it. This place just makes you feel like you are entering your grandmother's home and running to greet her in her kitchen and time after time feeling her warm brace waiting for grandmother to ask you if you have ate whether I did or didn't, the answer was no, just to eat the food she made which always tasted traditional, comforting and warm. Can't go wrong with La Tapatia Mexicatessen, I've order for my family's small get together of ten or boosting staff morale during a staff lunch of 260; this comforting family feeling of a store/restaurant/kitchen will always deliver the exact same excellent quality and experience which makes me feel at ease. P.s you must pick it up yourself.

I would recommend super burritos with any meat and carnitas by the pound. They are consistently good and have never dropped in quality. Service is fast and helpful. The only issue here would be parking on Grand Ave, but if you have someone drive you, they can just circle back and pick you up. This place is delicious!

You got to be careful every time you go there. They charge extra and if you ask for a receipt, they only give you a receipt that shows the amount you paid not not the price of the stuff. I was there the other day and got charged almost 50 bucks for two pounds of carnitas one of chicharron and 87 grams of cheese like seriously?

Best tortillas and carnitas in town. We love to stop by and get a few lbs of carnitas, guacamole, salsa, tortillas and poco for an easy and delicious meal.

My family and I have been shopping there for mucho years. It was alittle chaotic because it was the 22nd of Dec. I was there to pick up 10lbs of Maza and 54 Corn Husk to make Tamales. My tradition for making tamales is on the 24th, Xmas Eve. They have everything one needs to make delicious Mexican dishes. The service was fast, even tho it was crowded. They're helpful and nice. Even the people in line were helpful and nice. ..priceless.. They also make Burritos, Tacos and other hot dishes to go. To this day it's a super good place for hot food and for Mexican groceries.

Such good food and service!! Their salsas are also🔥, careful because some can be very 🥵.

My go to for burritos in South San francisco. I love their Burritos. I love their fried potato tacos and chips. I will usually get some rice and beans as extra sides.

Viva La Tapatia! Quality mexican food served either individually or portions for family dining. Cooks are amazing at what they do. They do work at a fast pace when busy so keep an eye on your order as they prepare it in front of you. Walk right in and check out the selection because sometimes availability is limited on select items like grilled chicken for example

I love the super burritos here. They're huge and delicious! 😋 I've gotten the super breakfast burritos with chorizo and super burritos with carnitas. Pro-tip: Pick up burritos here before I head to the airport.

One of my favorite places for Chile Verde and chicharon! I usually get the quart size for the family. Price has gone up to about $15 a quart, but food in general has gone up so it’s as expected and well worth it!

This place is one of the better places to go to for Arthenic Mexican food. They have a full selection of food that will surely make your belly happy.

If your in the area and need pick me up in the early am! Try the Breakfast burritos , the carnitas tacos are delicious! You can also pick up a few "sodas" that are from Mexico you won't find them any where else but here!

Best in the bay area! We get these chips, pico and salsa for every party. Plus all the fixings are wonderful, authentic, delicious, and reasonably priced.

Excellent flavor in our PACKED Super Burrito with Carnitas. We split one, ate it at Oyster Point Marina Trail. Definitely needed a walk after! Didn’t take pic of the burrito, but took a pic of CHICLES!

First off the food is delicious the carnitas are super good and chicken the rotisserie style in the quesadilla which is my daughters fav is fanominal service is quick and they are very nice!! Highly recommend trying g this place!!!

The best tortillas made fresh. You'll never want store bought again. Also the unsold tortillas are made into chips a must buy if your there.
