My wife and I had been wanting a backyard water feature but could not figure out a way to build one that wasn't a ton of work (literally considering real rocks) and cost prohibitive on our own. My wife found Universal Rocks online and we ordered the Myuna Cascades as it was the right size at the right price. We placed our order on May 15th and the pond arrived on June 3rd (even though I was impatient and contacted them after only a week, they very politely assured me it would be shipping shortly and it did. It actually arrived rather quickly considering the shortages on materials.) The pallet had almost everything we needed for installation and operation. We did face a couple of small issues during the installation. First, there were no instructions with the pond so we had to frequently refer to the pictures on the website and in videos to insure we were assembling it correctly. Next, the attachment to the pump was too high for the spillway to fit correctly onto the lower pond so I had to cut one of the pump adapters to lower the profile of the tube coming out of the pond. Once we were able to work around these issues, the assembly became much easier and the feature looked the way it should. The pond itself looks extremely realistic and the sound is exactly what we were looking for. We have already begun discussing where we are going to put the next one we order! I highly recommend Universal Rocks for any water feature you are looking for but take your time and study the pictures and videos for proper installation!

We received our two waterfall kits via freight yesterday. The pictures on their website don't do them justice- they look FAR better in person. We were pleasantly surprised with the appearance and build quality. I highly recommend working with Universal Rocks for water features!

I bought one of the tree root aquarium decorations and it is better than expected. I knew the dimensions but it still seems bigger than expected, in a good way. Customer service was very responsive to my questions and made a great recommendation. I just ordered some artificial plants too!

Absolutely love the backgrounds purchased for multiple tanks. All of them look so realistic without taking up much space (used in 2 Fluval flex 9 gallons, and two 20 gallon long tanks). Just received my first order. A huge water bowl for my Burmese python and a small rock cave for my water turtle. The quality is great and the shipping was quick. The bowl looks so much better than using a big kitty litter tub and my snake loves it so far. I will be placing more orders!

I got some very nice rocks, and there was thought put into the selection they sent me. The showstopper, though was a stump. I could not be more pleased. It is very realistic with lots of hiding places in the roots. Since each is custom made and molded from a real stump, delivery takes a bit longer, but not too bad at all. It seems to be very high quality material that should hold up well. It may seem a bit pricey, but it is a stunning centerpiece. I consider it a good value. Company is promptly attentive to questions. I would definitely buy from them again and would recommend you do so as well if you’re looking for quality large tank decorations.

I contacted UR about a custom project with unusual requirements. Ben was helpful in selecting a range of choices from their products to meet my needs. The aquarium is up and running and looks great. The rocks are easy to work with and the variability in size and shape helped achieve a very natural feel for this project. The weight saving was immense. I absolutely will be using Universal Rocks for future projects.

Awesome products, at good prices, very very realistic rocks! They are lightweight which is great if you want a realistic enclosure but without all the heavy. I love the function of them as well, such as shelves and hides for my reptiles. These products will last forever. They look easy to clean. Universal Rocks shipped very fast and I've placed several orders with them. I got them within a few days and have never had a problem. Highly recommended! Looking forward to new products coming out!! My *only* "criticism" is I wish their water bowls were deeper. All my Boas love to soak and the dishes that fit a standard 4x2x2 enclosure aren't quite deep enough I don't think. But to be fair I've only ordered one of them.

My order came quickly, and the ledge kits were worth the money (at least the small kits were). However, I will not repurchase any backgrounds. They are too uneven. For the money you pay, they should be easier to attach to the enclosure. Not pleased at all with that part of my order. Edited to say, even though it was more of a pain than it needed to be to install, my snake is making a lot of use out of his new background, and it is aesthetically pleasing and helps the whole enclosure come together. Maybe in PVC enclosures it would easier to secure. I'll have to go back on my original statement as I MIGHT try again with a PVC enclosure.

My Castle Rock back ground arrived much faster than I thought it would. Finally I put it in my 155 gal. Cichlid tank. Was fairly easy to put in and the fit what on point. Perfect fit top to bottom, and side to side. Not only did it improve the look of my tank 110%, but my cichlid love swimming next to it, something they didn’t do with the glass. I love everything about my background. Thanks guys, you nailed it.

I purchased a 3D background for my bearded dragon and it is absolutely stunning. The craftsmanship and quality are beyond anything I could have asked for. Super easy to install and it looks great. My bearded dragon loves to climb on it and he takes naps on the ledges. It gives his tank more usable space. I highly recommend purchasing this background if it fits within your budget.

We love our rock hot tub from Universal Rocks. It fits right in with our landscape and looks completely natural. The quality is amazing and we love lounging in it whether its hot or cold outside. We love the dual functionality of a pool in the hot weather and a hot tub whenever we want it. It takes less than an hour to heat up completely. Their rock work is gorgeous and so realistic! I ordered the ledge style reptile background size 24” X 60” for my bearded dragon enclosure and now his tank decor looks like it’s straight out of Central Australia!! I received my order in super fast time as well. Also, their customer service is excellent; they actually have a phone number that you can call with any questions and a REAL PERSON picks up the phone right away and is ready to help in a friendly and helpful manner. The piece I ordered was more black than brown. A little bit disappointed. Really liked the shape and weight of piece. Have ordered before and always received quality products and good shipping. Will definitely recommend Universal Rocks. Thank you.

Quality is great. Shipping was on par with what their website says. Packing was bad. The way it was folded up scratched/chipped the paint off parts of the background. Cutting/molding was the worst part. The middle portion of the background sits lower than the ends. It has a "V" shape to it and doesn't sit flat on the tank bottom. Furthermore the ends don't fit in the corners due to the "V" shape. This makes for a noticeably horrible fitment specially on my bare bottom tank. Which also means more work to clean under it. Potential buyers, I suggest a thick substrate to compensate for the uneven fitment. I'm a return customer because the last background I ordered was perfect. But I'm disappointed this time, I expected better quality for the price I paid, and better packing for the shipping costs paid.

We ordered sample rocks to see color and quality before moving ahead with our plan for a waterfall for our new pool. They came quickly and we were surprised at how realistic they are! We will be placing the order for the actual waterfall for sure-just as soon as we stop arguing about which one. They all look so good, we can’t choose!

Excellent products! I always wanted a product that looked like the real thing without all the hassle. The products they provided did not affecting my aquarium water parameters, I did not need to disinfecting for hours other than a good rinse off, and both my ball python and fish friends love their rocks, tree trunks, and drift wood! Just make sure you double measure inside of your tank/ enclosure the products are bigger in person than you would expect, however exceptionally light/ sturdy. 10/10 recommend.

I Love Universal Rocks! I am a hobby reptile keeper and have used Universal Rocks for the backgrounds in almost every single enclosure. I also have installed their diy shelves and use the rock hides. My animals are happy and secure and the enclosures are beautiful to look at.

I am absolutely blown away! My Mbuna cichlid tank upgrade has surpassed my wildest expectations! They are so happy to investigate their new hiding areas. Bonus is that I can keep them enriched by moving the rocks around without worrying that I may drop one and break the tank. Real rocks are beautiful but not for my big tank, too risky for me. Nobody can tell the rocks are faux until I tell them now.
