The nurses and the doctors were awesome. They listened, they're respected what you were going through. But the receptionist needs to go. They are very, very rude. I will not go back to the Ankeny office. Due to the receptionist, I will deal with 411 Laurel. Their receptionists are outstanding, along with the nurses and doctors.

Dr. Aderibigbe did a superb job repairing my crushed elbow, including building up a particularly challenging, impacted area of the bone. Was great about communication, worked with me through a nightmare of a workers comp case. Great patient care, extremely skilled surgeon.

I was very nervous for my appointment. Having MBC with bone involvement I didn’t know what to expect. The staff was very friendly and put me at ease. They explained everything to me. My X-ray went well and the technician was so helpful with positioning. My doctor was amazing. He explained what he saw on the X-ray and even gave me a copy of it. He explained all of my options, with risks and benefits of each. We came to a treatment together. Thank you Dr. Beecher and staff for making me feel at ease and that you truly cared about me. 100% recommend to friends and family.

Dr. Paulson was great! Was able to work me in his schedule last minute and able to make me feel heard, unlike a previous Dr. I had seen! We were able to work out a plan of action that worked best for me! I highly recommend Dr. Paulson!

I was referred by the Emergency Dept at Mercy One, after breaking my wrist. The check in desk was not very friendly. The doctor I met with did not go over my x-rays, or go into detail about the recommended surgical procedure or why I needed surgery with a plate and screws vs a cast. I ultimately ended up getting a second opinion at another orthopedic clinic, where I was provided with an in depth consultation with the doctor that included a review of my x-rays and a more professional conversation about my treatment options.

Welcome was rather “busy” business like. Happy to say Dr was so kind and explained what next step would be and why. Very happy with Dr Avilis.

I was able to get an appointment very fast. I was in and out of the clinic quickly including X-rays, consulting with the DR and treatment. Dr Vineyard took time to explain, offered options and suggested his preferred choice and was patient with my questions.

Makes you feel at ease when he meets with you. Explained my options and the process he will use to fix my shoulder. He went over the healing and recovery process. Very happy he explained the whole process in terms you can understand.

I found Dr. Paulson to be extremely kind and sympathetic, as well as empathetic and knowledgeable! He was awesome. He has a genuinely calm spirit and very patient, which was extremely appreciated. I would definitely recommend him. By far the best!

Check-in was fast and easy. Being able to fill out most of my medical history online beforehand was a huge help. Staff was courteous and efficient. Everything was explained clearly, and a care plan developed with my consent.

Very positive feeling as I left Iowa Ortho. My doctor was considerate, knowledgeable and very helpful in diagnosing my problem. I went back to him because he did a successful hip revision for me in 2013.

I saw Dr. Khoriaty specifically because he specializes in shoulders. He was very willing to educate me by answering all of my questions, and in a very kind and patient manner. His suggestion of trying prescription anti-inflammatory medication and cortisone injections, verses surgery right away, was much appreciated. He was willing to be engaged in our conversation and that means alot!

Scheduling was easy and I received a quick appointment. Check in was a snap and there was hardly any waiting. My PA was thorough, looked at new images, and took time to explain and answer my questions. Received treatment and was in and out. Great experience!

Appointment times were varied and great to work with. Everyone was very helpful. Doctor was extremely through and explained things so I knew he heard me and understood my pain. The treatment we came up with was together as a team and fit what I was comfortable with. Overall I feel like I was in the best hands.

I am very impressed with how quickly they were able to see me. Dr Smith was kind. He walked me through the process and spoke to me in a friendly professional manner. His sense of urgency in getting my insurance approved helped me realize the severity of my condition. I feel comfortable with putting my health crisis into his hands.

Doctors and staff are great. But the wait times are horrible. My last 3 appointments took about 5 minutes. But I sat in the office waiting for an hour each time. Genuinely might switch doctors because of it.

I recently had a total knee replacement done by Dr. Beecher and his PA Rachel Blagg. They are pleasant, personable, professional and did a great job with my surgery. I am totally satisfied with my procedure and the care I have received from the people at Iowa Ortho.

Short wait time…both nurse and Dr. Trout are good listeners…and although it’s been several years since I’ve seen Dr. Trout, he was knowledgeable of any earlier issues.

I saw Dr. Aviles. My favorite doctor by far. Very caring about the people he sees, doesn’t rush through things. I really feel like he cares about his patients concerns!

Dr Galles was excellent at explaining my surgery and answered all my questions! I feel very confident of him doing my surgery. I would highly recommend him!

Dr. Mahoney is very caring and compassionate about his work. I chose him to do my 2 knee replacements as he is a qualified and experienced orthopedic surgeon and his speciality is knees. It has been 3 years since my surgeries and I am getting along well. Dr. Mahoney always takes the time to answer any questions I may have.

I would highly recommend Dr. Kurt Smith. He is very professional while being very empathetic. Very caring and wants to do whatever he can to make you feel better and pain free. I have seen many doctors and most definitely my favorite.

Got me in a timely matter. He explained the 2 options I had then explained the 1 he is going to do. Nurse was very nice. Receptionist was also very good. I'm very pleased and anxious to get surgery to get on the mend.

The staff is very professional but also very friendly and efficient. Dr. Khoriaty is the best. I had a reverse shoulder replacement and couldn't be happier 6 weeks out after the surgery. Highly recommend Iowa Ortho!
