Underground gift shop with a large collection and decent prices which are not fixed. Bargaining is definitely an option if you think the prices are not fair. They have fridge magnets, over 15 types of t-shirts, presidential bobble heads, figurines etc. Accepts both card and cash.

Oh my gosh. Best. Store. Ever. Please go here. There are tons of different souvenir items here, from t-shirts to magnets, bobbleheads to ballpoint pens, pins to playing cards. The prices are reasonable as well. The main highlight for me was meeting the man who runs the shop. He is the nicest guy, and he's been in the business for a very long time. He and the staff are very friendly, and very generous as well. Once you get in there and start talking to him the owner just starts throwing free gifts into your bag. ☺️ Honestly the visit just made my day and restored my faith in humanity. The store is a bit hard to find, it's in the McPherson Square metro station, but you have to enter/exit through the right place. If you're trying to find it with Google maps, it'll tell you to go outside and walk around the block and come in the other entrance. Great store, really happy 😊.

I spent $62🤑 got 4 shirts and he was so kind to throw in a magnet. I walked from my hotel 3 miles to find his shop at 8pm located near the subway. Great find and worth the journey. I too was assisted by the owner Chung or Chang. Great variety of souvenirs.

If you are ever in DC and looking for souvenirs, this is the best place to buy them! It is located in the McPherson metro station. The owner is the most friendly and generous man we met while here. They have a great variety of gift items from shirts to bobble heads. We were the only ones in the store at the time and we were able to visit with owner who has been in business for 41 years!!! He offered discounts and a free tshirt. 100% recommend this little shop!

This was by far the most phenomenal souvenir shop I have been to passing through on travel. They have such a great variety of souvenirs and is a very detailed/clean store! The owner is unbelievably generous and a sweet man! He gave us discounts and free items just because! He definitely made sure we were taken care of and left happy! Outstanding customer service!! 😁😁

It's one of the greatest place to look for a souvenir from Washington D.C. It is a heavensent store with a business owner who is very nice, courteous and super generous! Mr. Chung was the absolute sweetest souvenir shop owner! My visit happened to be close to Father’s Day & he gave my dad an extra free t-shirt along with many other freebies. Not only is he an amazing store owner but an amazing father. He spoke very proudly of his successful children, which was very sweet.

We came here looking for nice prices and the friendly staff described in the reviews. That is not what we found. Very rude staff. Everything is marked way up and they say random percentages off to get you to buy then charge extra when ringing up. Super rude guy at the register, who appears to be the owner everyone is talking about in the reviews. He wasn’t nice to us at all, rang up things wrong and was upset after being corrected. Very small store. Dishonest staff. Read the 1-2 star reviews and you will see it’s the same story. There are lots of ways to make honest money with a store, stop scamming people. Do not recommend!

I've just been in Metro Variety Shop with my husband, son, and 82 years old mom, who is with wheelchair. It is very easy to reach the souvenir shop, using the metro elevator who drops you right off the door. There are lots of beautiful magnets, plates, cups of eny use and size, key holders, T-shirts, hats and many other items, all in great prices. The owner and his assistant were extremely nice and helpful. They offered us discounts and we got free magnets and gifts. So happy. My mom was amazed. I definitely recommend Metro Variety Shop. This is my souvenir shop at all!

This gift shop was amazing! They have varieties of gifts and lots of clothes as well! The worker Mr. Chung was amazing! He was very nice and super generous! Mr. Chung was wonderfully kind and generous to our school tour group. It was close to closing time, but he waited patiently as our group of approximately 40 students shopped for souvenirs. He even gave our students a discount and generously gifted each of the 4 chaperones a DC t-shirt. The shop is small, but has a good selection of touristy souvenirs for all ages.

My aunt and I was looking for a place to get some souvenirs on our last day in DC and came across this place and the gentlemen and young lady who helped us were just the absolute sweetest! Half off shirts and hoodies. Then, when we were leaving he stopped us and gave each a keychain and a coin for free as wished us a safe journey home. 10/10 would come back and recommend!
