I was hardly walking when I got to the ER, crying in pain. I submitted all my documents, I was not admitted because I was told there was no bed available to be able to be admitted and I need it to wait with pain a lot of pain in the lobby, I was hardly able to sit down, crying in pain. After 10 minutes I was call to a patience room across from the room where the virals are taken, so the Dr came in to talk and tell me to go-to my regular doctor's appointment because they were not able to do an examination or take a MRI or x-rays or anything, the Dr said I was going to get injected with a pain killer and be discharged! How can I get discharge if I was not submitted I asked?! No response. I was disappointed with the attention I received because I realized I am just a piece of something that you as a hospital will use to charge who knows how much to the insurance. I felt that I was in a 3rd world country hearing all this. So I accepted everything I was told because I was vulnerable in pain but I will tell my family and friends not to use this hospital. I'm sorry that I'm expressing myself like this but I'm a human and needed help beyond and injection. I'm still in pain, I do not have a diagnostic and that is not right. As an American citizen I fell unhappy that my country it is not providing what it use to be a right for every human.

I have always had great experiences when I've been here for myself and my husband and I recently took our daughter after an accident at home. We were very well taken care of, and everyone we met and dealt with were kind and helped our baby girl. Everyone from the receptionist to the triage nurse, to our admin clerk and the NP who saw us were great!

Excellent emergency room experience! Arrived around 11pm on a Thursday night, was discharged by 12:15. Had X-ray machine wheeled into my room, was nice to not have to go to a different room. Super nice desk staff, nurses, etc. No complaints!

The front desk receptionist and ER staff were very courteous and helpful. I was checked in quick and brought in very fast. My doctor was also very nice and helpful. However, when the doctor ordered X-rays and the technician came in, it was a different story. He was very aggressive and rude. No compassion and didn’t care I was in severe pain and had back issues. He said he deals with people like me everyday and doesn’t need anyone to tell him how to treat people. Also, the hospital was very dirty. The floor on the hallways was filthy, full of dirt and the room had blood stains on the chairs and in the sink. Obviously nobody had gone in there to clean it. Very disappointing to see ta hospital like that!

I am absolutely disgusted with how I was treated.. I went into the emergency room with my feet and legs Visibly double the size of what they should be.. I was called into the back check area by an EMT, who agreed that my legs and feet were double in Size. He told me that there was “nothing that the emergency room could do for me“ I told him that it was very painful, and I could barely walk. He looked me in my face And said to me “we are not giving you narcotics here”.. I was appalled because I was not there looking for any kind of pain medication. I was there looking for them to relieve the water that was being retained and causing pain in my legs and feet… When I asked him if it was a joke, he said to me, I’m more than welcome to wait, and they can run bloodwork to check my kidneys… My kidneys?? I was there, because my feet and legs were swollen to the point I could barely walk.. They were just looking to bill my heath insurance at this point, so I left untreated… I was still barely able to walk due to the painful swelling in my legs and feet and I Was accused of being there for narcotics. I was spoken to like I was complete scum on the bottom of this EMT’s shoe. I will never go back to that hospital, If you don’t like your job you should be doing something else. I have never had an emergency room tell me that they couldn’t help me.

I came in with intense head pain from sinusitis. The facility was very clean. The Staff was efficient yet compassionate. Their treatment helped alleviate the more severe aspects of my pain and Sent me home with a prescription. I was very impressed with their treatment approach and would highly recommend them. I was so impressed with nurses Victoria and Kate who delivered outstanding, companionable care. Dr. April Anderson was kind and caring also. This is an excellent hospital Emergency Room.

The service in the ER, when provided, was excellent. There was little wait time to be admitted to a room in the ER. The problem was the long wait time once in the room to clean and dress a simple wound. I had to use the restroom so I hit the call button. When someone finally answered, they said someone would be by to help. When nobody showed up after about five minutes, I left the room and found the restroom myself. One other compliant—I needed about five staples to cliffs the wound. The PA had a student put them in. Apparently, the student “missed the mark”, so the PA had to pull and redo several. This was the only painful part of the process!! My biggest gripe is that the whole process took about three hours for what amounted to no more than 15 minutes of treatment. And it appeared to be a slow morning compared to other ERs I have seen!

Best experience (sounds nutty but) ever expected in an hospital ER. From the get go..I was never left alone in my assigned room. It was like a fine tuned orchestrated professional, friendly staff.I had the red carpet treatment and finally peace of mind when I left. A very special staff.

The best hospital in the area and will be my go to facility if the need arises. The emergency receptionists were totally professional, the triage nurses and technicians were thorough and answered all my questions. The business manager was spot on and asked all the right questions. The nurse was accommodating, the doctor was professional and listened to my concerns. The X/ray tech was knowledgeable and candid about what she did. The EMT who splinted me answered my questions. Check out was easy and everything was explained. I had a great experience, thank you!

Thank you emergency room staff and doctor. My experience in the emergency room from the time I entered until the time I was released, was absolutely phenomenal! My Doctor, nurses Tracy, and technicians were so professional and pleasant all while doing an amazing job taking care of my medical needs. If I ever need to go back through an emergency situation. Thank you. Bethesda West ER.

Wonderful staff. Nurse Rock and Nurse Fred took very good care of me in the ER despite it being so busy. They made me feel at ease. I am grateful for them.

The ER staff is less than professional. I could Get better care at a piggly wiggly grocery store. The er staff will ignore you for over an hour and when you have to ask them to do their job and check on patients.. that have been there in a bed for over an hour.. they throw a blood pressure cuff on them… walk away.. come back in a few minutes .. take it off.. then walk out and giggle amongst their fellow nurses. Bedside manner is horrific. And they don’t even check on their patients when they leave. But expect you to leave a review. Here’s your review. Do better. Sincerely 75th ranger battalion family. My medics can do better in an actual firefight and still communicate. Do better. No soup for you.

I happen to like the emergency room at Bethesda West and last night or early today, I guess, was no different. I seem to end up there once or twice a year. The people are always pleasant and keep you informed even when it's crazy busy. They actually listen and help if they can. The Dr on-call last night was very good and got to the bottom of my issues and did what he could to make me comfortable and not in severe pain. I will go again, if I have to.

Great place for fractures! In and out quickly. I fractured my foot in multiple places. Everything was brought to me. From X-rays to casting/splinting. All staff worked efficiently, carefully and kept me calm. I feel as good as I could! Thank you Kate, Eva and Rachel!

From the moment I signed in to Baptist Health at Bethesda West I was treated with kindness and compassion. My information was presented and immediately I was taken care of and given instructions as to how to continue with my health problem. the staff members were not only helpful but truly concerned. Thank you for your service!

Nurses were very nice but as they were busy, I feel like I wasn’t properly examined they did x-rays of one part but not the other went to an orthopedic today to find out that the issue was nothing. They looked at it was something else the last two times I’ve gone there. It has been a mess being seen in the waiting room because they’re busy. I don’t know what’s going on, but this is to be my go to hospital now it’s the least hospital I wanna deal with

The staff at Bethesda West is nothing less than phenomenal. The care they have for their patients is unbelievable and I appreciate the care they put into making sure I was comfortable and treated with respect. The doctors and nurses made sure I was fully informed of all procedures and on board with all treatments. They are the best at what they do. I would not have kept my sanity without them. Thank you

I had extreme osteoarthritic knee pain over the Thanksgiving holiday. Reluctantly, I went to the ER for help. The front desk, the nurses and the doctor were nice, sympathetic and helpful. The appointment went smoothly and we were in and out in a very reasonable amount of time Their plan of action helped me.. A very pleasant ER experience!

tested positive for Covid and was interested in the monoclonal infusion. I was pretty sure I was eligible since I was over 65. Brody, my nurse, Paige, another nurse and Rachel, the NP assisted me during my 3 hour visit. The infusion was easy and the care was excellent. Thank you!

The entire staff was very friendly and compassionate. I have been to several ER’s in my life and this was the cleanest and most highly organized. The doctor that day, Dr Gary Popovetsky, really listened to me and how I was feeling. Ran tests and went over everything with me. He took his time and answered any and all of questions. The nurses were all very kind and nice. If you need to go to an emergency room I would highly recommend Baptist Health Bethesda Hospital West.

Best ER on earth! The staff amazing and they are very efficient at handling all you needs within your room. My daughter broke her leg and we had X rays, a diagnosis and her cast within 90 minutes, all in her room. Thanks to a great cast of health professionals.

The wait time is fun... The nurse was the best part of the entire visit funny, personable, and made me a lot more comfortable with everything that was going on. I understand being busy whenever you come just be ready to spend 5+ hours which to an extent i understand with how triage works. 10/10 loved the nurse wish i could remember her name. 6/10 for the PA very blunt, very rushed, just didn't feel like she cared. Took couple ER visits to get an idea of why my body hates itself physically. On the right track now.

The ER staff went out of their way to make an unplanned “visit” as calming as possible. Professional, Caring, Attentive. Polite. They explained what was happening every step of the way. Theo did not “park” me. The attention was immediate and thorough. I left after two hours confident in my treatment and their recommendations for follow up. If you have to go, this is the place!

I took my 2 year old to the emergency and let me say this has been the BEST EXPERIENCE I have EVER had at a hospital!!! From the moment we walked in to the moment we where discharged the nurses, the doctors the receptionist where incredibly loving, caring and compassionate. The way they went above and beyond for my little boy was amazing. I am extremely pleased with how loving and kind each employee was with us throughout this experience.
