This is my second baby and I definitely feel much more prepared and physically strong for birth thanks to the classes I have been attending. I highly recommend for whomever is pregnant no matter in what stage you are. Valerie is fun, professional and caring, she has the ability to create a wonderful experience. I feel grateful to have found BodyBellyBaby! The community she has created is invaluable for pregnant moms as well as for moms with newborns!

Valerie is the absolute best pregnancy Pilates instructor! Her classes are incredible because she truly focuses on your health and making you stronger for delivery. I had been doing regular workouts throughout pregnancy, but for my third trimester decided to focus on pregnancy workouts and honestly this class is worth every single penny. Not only do you get to build community with an incredible group of women, but she also explains throughout the class some of the theory behind the exercises and why they are important to you and how they will help you. She is also monitoring how you do exercises and corrects any issues with posture or technique. In addition, she offers online classes in case is too hard for you to attend in person, which are a great compliment to in person workouts. During my pregnancy I have always felt pain in my round ligament and in my pelvic muscles, but every time I attend class the pain is magically gone. She is wonderful!!!

I LOVE Body Belly Baby!! As a first time expecting Mom, Valerie is so insightful and knowledgeable. I enjoy her Prenatal classes. My partner and I took her Newborn Care class and that was extremely helpful. I will recommend Body Belly Baby to all my local Miami mama!

I'm not only in love with the physical workout at Body Belly Baby, it's also the fellowship with likeminded expectant mothers and Valerie, our instructor, makes this class an essential experience! Pregnancy often feels like a solitary journey, but attending this class brings a sense of normalcy and connection. The class is a mix of yoga, barre, stretching for pregnancy aches + pains and birthing preparation breathing techniques. The perfect challenge when expecting. Valerie really creates a tribe with her students and has created something I truly look forward to every week!

My experience with Body Belly Baby and Valerie has been nothing short of incredible. I’ve been taking the prenatal Pilates classes which have not only been so good for my arms and legs/butt 😜 - but the classes have been helpful and informative on guiding me through proper breathing techniques and through kegel exercises - everything I know that will be important for the big day!! My husband and I also took Lamaze with Valerie and I have so much more clarity on the labor process and what options are available to me when it comes to creating my birth plan … taking infant cpr with Valerie in November and then should be giving birth right after. I will recommend body belly baby to everyone I know. Best decision I could have made.

Body Belly Baby its an absolute MUST experience while pregnant - I started going to the Prenatal Pilates class at 18 weeks and it helped me SO much. Valerie creates a beautiful environment but at the same time very professional and knows exactly the exercises that will help a pregnant woman, for the different stages. We also took the couple's Lamaze class with Valerie and it was crucial in feeling prepared, getting all of the right information needed - totally worth it. It helped both my husband and I to get educated about the birthing process and coming up with our own birth plan. Love Body Belly Baby! Will be coming back for the baby and me classes.

Love this studio! Very happy with my experience taking Prenatal Pilates and, more recently, Prenatal Yoga at Body Belly Baby . Valerie is incredibly knowledgeable on all of the nuances of pregnancy (symptoms, ailments, good habits, safe breathing, etc) and especially in getting your body prepared for the challenge of childbirth. I’ve been attending classes since 15 weeks and took my last class yesterday and 39w5d. So glad I did! And today, I’m in labor and delivery at hospital ready to deliver my little boy. The classes prepared me in a way I didn’t have the discipline to myself... each exercise is planned and calculated for a specific goal. The biggest goal has to do with strengthening your core in a way that is safe for pregnancy. Those core muscles will help us through breathing and labor. In class, we practice timed and ever increasing repetitions of kegels, leg and toe stretches & lifts, variations of squats & lunges, you name it... you will be practicing it in this class catered just for the expectant mom. Valerie is wonderful and I could not recommend this studio any more. I really love the new yoga class as it’s helped me a lot with stretching in the last weeks of pregnancy. My only recommendation would be to add more variation of exercise sequences in the Pilates class. Otherwise 5 stars ! Thank you BBB!

Valerie is an amazing instructor. In my 3rd trimester my husband and I participated in the Lamaze and Childbirth 3 hour class and we also had a private consultation on breathing techniques. Valerie was easy to follow, took the time to really explain everything and creates a comfortable atmosphere for everyone. I recommend her 100% and wish I had found her classes sooner.

Valerie is a gift, especially if it’s your first pregnancy and your mind just twirls with questions and you’re looking for a place that does it all! Her outdoor yoga class is amazing, complete and just the right amount of « challenging ». She is attentive, very knowledgeable and does it with the heart. Her birth class is even better, extensive and with lots of very detailed material. She is very responsive, helpful and just such a sweet woman! Highly recommend to use her to get everything you need for a healthy pregnancy, get mentally and physically prepared for labor!

I was so happy to find Valerie's classes while pregnant. The outdoor setting in Kennedy Park is great and it was wonderful to get to know Valerie and many pregnant and post-partum moms. The fitness classes are specifically tailored to prepare you for birth and are at a moderate level that is accessible to anyone. I also took Valerie's Lamaze childbirth class and was so happy I did. It really taught positions and techniques for managing labor, not just the basic overview of what happens in childbirth which was all my hospital's class covered. I felt so much more prepared and less nervous after the class. Valerie has been an amazing source of information for me and has often stayed after the park classes to answer questions I had around pregnancy and childbirth. I wholehearted recommend her fitness classes and the Lamaze childbirth class!

I started pre-natal pilates at BBB in my first trimester and have continued throughout my pregnancy — I love it! I feel like I get both a good workout and preparation for delivery. Valerie is very knowledgeable and caring about her students. I also love the community of women I’ve met through the classes.

The prenatal pilates class is a must for expecting mommies. I started around 25 weeks, going 4-5 times a month. The breathe practice we got during class was very helpful in the labor process. It also helps you feel good as a mommy to get up and move. I suffered from sciatica pain in my right side and after 3 classes I never had the pain again! Val is also the best, very safe, knowledgeable on both the female body and birthing process.

Before I found Body Belly Baby. I knew I wanted to go natural because I am a mother of 1 that previously had a C-section and it was horrific experience everything we go through when we have a c-section. I chose to have a VBAC for my second pregnancy but absolutely had no guidance and I was nowhere near prepared for this. I started with Body Belly Baby with Lamaze and prenatal breathing classes and how it’s changed our whole idea in natural birth. Not only it has given me all the tools to go natural but my confidence to know the fact that my body is capable of doing this. It has prepared my mind and body for this. Her technique has taught me how to overcome contraction back pain, breathing appropriately, what to expect from OBGYN protocols, the stages of birth, what our body’s can overcome and now I do know I am ready for a natural birth to bring this baby into the world. My doctors wanted to induce me at 39 weeks and I was educated that if the baby is good my body and baby will decide to come when it’s time. No need to be induce when the baby is perfectly fine and placenta is in perfect shape. The rate of these c-sections that doctors are doing here in miami is outrages. Doctors don’t understand or see past the the child’s well being what a disservice they are doing to our kids. C-sections take a big part on our kids Developmental delay. And they won’t say it to us. The rate of children have some sort of delays is beyond what they are telling us. And c-sections play a role in it as well. Thanks to Body Belly Baby I’m ready.

Last week, a pregnant mother asked me what helped me the most mentally and physically during my pregnancy. I knew immediately what to tell her- Prenatal Pilates. Valerie, owner of Body Belly Baby has been my prenatal and post partum private pilates instructor for a full year now. The experience has been transformative. Through Valerie’s pilates classes, I was able to strengthen my body, most importantly learning to properly engage my core with breath work and muscle strengthening. Valerie gave me the physical and mental tools to feel empowered in my pregnancy, and I labored with calm confidence. Prenatal Pilates taught me endurance and prepared my body for birth. Valerie is incredibly knowledgeable, encouraging and dedicated, and teaches with her whole heart. Prenatal pilates helped me to connect with my baby, helped me to maintain a healthy weight as is recommended by OBGYNs, and made my body stronger than it ever was pre-pregnancy. The recovery time after giving birth was like night and day compared to my first pregnancy. I did not exercise during my first pregnancy and it took me so long to recuperate. I feel so lucky to have found Valerie and to have started prenatal pilates with her for my second pregnancy. Valerie’s classes were vital to my post partum recovery and gave me the physical strength to take care of a newborn and a toddler. My pilates journey with Valerie has continued after the birth of my child, and I am taking private one on one post partum classes twice a week. After being given the okay by my OBGYN to start exercising again, I knew that I wanted to continue taking classes with Valerie for my physical and mental wellness. Mothers often have so little time for themselves, so I have found Valerie’s classes to be the most important part of my week where I can concentrate on my wellbeing, and reconnect with my mind body and spirit. I look forward to our classes and find them be mood boosting. When I began postpartum pilates classes again with Valerie, she carefully accessed me post pregnancy, and formulated our classes specifically as was needed for my body. Under Valerie’s guidance and instruction, I have become stronger each week. Valeries continuous motivation and dedication in our classes has made me the strongest version of myself throughout my pregnancy and now into my postpartum journey. Thank you Valerie. It has been a truly life changing experience to learn from you.

My OB recommended Body Belly Baby Prenatal Pilates classes as a safe way to stay fit during pregnancy. I started going to Valerie’s classes at the beginning of my second trimester. Valerie is so knowledgeable and encouraging. She explains every move and also offers modifications specific to each client’s needs. I’ve not only enjoyed the workouts, but also the community of pregnant women I’ve gotten to know over the last few months. I’m looking forward to postnatal classes after baby arrives.

We took 3 of Valerie's classes online via Zoom and they were wonderful! After the first class we learned so much and knew we wanted to take the other classes that she offered. With this being our first baby we were concerned that we weren't going to be able to attend classes in person because of the pandemic, but Body Belly Baby's online option was amazing and the material was covered so thoroughly that it was every bit as effective as if we met in person. Valerie is very knowledgable and passionate about what she does and it shows, she cares a lot about her clients. We would highly recommend signing up for the online classes! After our baby is born I definitely plan to sign up for the postnatal classes!

Body Belly Baby is an amazing resource for pregnant women dedicated to having a healthy pregnancy and to safely exercising through out their pregnancy. As an obstetrician and mom of two, I have both personal and professional experience referring patients and taking the classes myself. You will find no other person in Miami, or for that matter anywhere in the world, who is as knowledgeable as Valerie when it comes to pregnancy and optimizing one's body throughout the 40 weeks and postpartum. I highly recommend her and her program both to patients and friends.

I recommend 100% the Lamaze class, I learned a lot about how to prepare, physically and mentally, positions and techniques for Labor Day! Also the prenatal Pilates is 100% worth it, you get to practice belly breathing, kegels… while safely toning your body with your baby and meeting a great community of moms to be ;) Thank you Valerie for sharing your knowledge and experience!

Valerie’s Prenatal fitness and Pilates class has transformed me- physically and mentally. Her class has made me feel the strongest I have ever felt in my life. Valerie is the most encouraging, knowledgeable and patient teacher. She has guided me with care and thoughtfulness through my pregnancy. I became Valeries student when I was seeking guidance in how to prepare my body to be at its best and healthiest during my pregnancy. Little did I know that Valerie would become a pillar of strength for me, slowly building me up physically with dedication and an extensive knowledge of the pregnant body. Through a combination of pregnancy appropriate cardio, breathing techniques, and muscle and core strengthening fitness, I began to see my body become stronger and healthier. It is very much recommended by OBGYNS to keep your body strong during pregnancy, it is vital to your well being and to that of your growing baby. Valerie has worked extensively with OBGYNS in the US and in many other countries. She is a prenatal and postnatal fitness guru. I look forward to my lessons with her every week. Valerie challenges me in the best way and I feel invigorated and energetic after her classes (and I am now 39 weeks pregnant!) During my first pregnancy I did very little movement and felt lethargic and in pain the entire time. This is my second pregnancy and I am so grateful to have found Valerie’s Body Baby Belly prenatal fitness class, as it has been the most important part of my pregnancy experience this time around. I have had so much more energy and my body and mind feel strong. Thank you Valerie for making a once unfit woman into a fitness enthusiast. It is because of you and your classes that I have become the healthiest version of myself.

Best prenatal class you can do in the Miami area!! The class is a solid mix of cardio, strength and specific pregnancy-safe exercises (including pelvic floor). After your hour with Valerie in the park, you feel recharged. No better way to spoil yourself, your belly and baby! Looking forward going to the postnatal classes 👍🏼🙂

I was nervous about my fitness level, so I signed up for private prenatal pilates sessions when I was pregnant with my first baby. Valerie was absolutely fantastic. Within weeks I was able to increase my level of activity, and my fatigue during the day was significantly less. I looked forward to my sessions as I would sleep better at night as well. I had to have a C-section, but the foundation I received from the classes helped me to feel comfortable with moving during my recovery period. Valerie is extremely knowledgeable about SAFE ways to exercise during pregnancy and postpartum!

Love the prenatal pilates classes! They've been great physically and socially to connect with other expecting mamas. Valerie is the best instructor - she's so welcoming and knowledgable. Also took her Baby 101 and Infant CPR training classes which were helpful to feel prepared. Definitely recommend Body Belly Baby!

Valerie was absolutely amazing! She led each couple through the physical stretches and activities to ensure everyone was doing everything properly. She provided printed documents that were extremely helpful and was incredibly knowledgeable. I highly recommend this class to all couples!
