Dear
Ciocca
Volkswagen
of
Allentown,
The
prospect
of
buying
a
car
typically
conjures
nightmarish
thoughts
of
targeted
unscrupulous
sales
tactics,
exhaustive
haggling
with
several
management
layers
of
the
dealership
and,
simply,
feeling
like
someone
has
been
less
than
honest
by
placing
the
customer’s
needs
and
satisfaction
dead
last.
On
the
list
of
things
I
least
look
forward
to
doing,
car
buying
and
having
4
wisdom
teeth
pulled
are
battling
for
first
place.
My
most
recent
experience
at
a
New
Jersey
Volkswagen
dealership
a
few
days
ago,
reinforced
my
disdain
for
car
buying
and
frantically
searching
for
a
pair
of
pliers
to
extract
my
own
teeth,
unanesthetized.
A
2022
Clemson
graduate
and
embarking
on
a
new
career
in
marketing,
my
daughter
performed
her
due
diligence
by
establishing
a
short,
but
favorable,
credit
history
and
actually
pre-qualifying
for
a
car
loan,
which
would
be
augmented
by
a
substantial
down
payment.
We
reluctantly
selected
a
nearby
VW
dealership,
with
whom
we
had
a
less
than
stellar
experience
several
years
ago,
solely
due
to
the
fact
that
they
had
the
inventory
of
Tiguans
for
which
she
was
interested.
We
were
informed
that
“new
management”
was
in
place
and
had
remediated
the
issues
from
the
past.
To
our
astonishment,
a
pre-qualified
loan
and
cash
on
hand
did
not
translate
into
the
slam
dunk
transaction
we
anticipated.
The
dealership
dismissed
my
daughter’s
Bank
of
America
pre-approved
loan,
despite
the
formal
documentation,
and
instead,
unbeknownst
to
any
of
us,
submitted
their
own
credit
application
to
BofA,
which
then
triggered
a
fraud
alert,
due
to
the
conflict,
and
auto-denied
the
loan.
Upon
seeing
this,
the
finance
manager
made
accusations
of
providing
fraudulent
credit
information,
falsifying
other
documents
and
basically
called
us
liars.
Mind
you,
for
many
years
I’ve
worked
at
one
of
the
top
financial
services
firms
and
very
familiar
with
the
consequences
and
repercussions
of
performing
such
an
act.
As
one
can
assume,
being
on
the
receiving
end
of
this
unacceptable
insult
put
an
instant
halt
to
this
deal
as
well
as
any
future
business
with
this
dealership
FOREVER.
We
immediately
(next
day)
started
looking
at
reviews
on
other
VW
dealerships
and
found
Ciocca.
Despite
living
in
NJ
and
it
being
over
an
hour
away,
the
multitude
of
positive
remarks
from
very
satisfied
customers
prompted
us
to
reach
out
and
give
it
a
try.
My
initial
phone
call
with
Tina
to
inquire
about
the
inventory
was
refreshingly
very
pleasant
and
she
happily
provided
the
details
and
answers
to
my
questions.
We
made
the
drive
to
Allentown
and
was
greeted
by
Tyler.
I
felt
obligated
to
share
with
Tyler
our
horrific
experience
from
the
day
before
and
he
listened
attentively
and
assured
us
that
our
satisfaction
was
his
primary
concern
and
objective.
His
friendly
temperament
was
positive,
his
communication
transparent
and
he
literally
promised
that
he
would
see
to
it
that
my
daughter
drive
off
the
lot
with
a
new
Tiguan…today!
Your
financial
manager,
Jessie,
further
exemplified
the
qualities
of
trustworthy
character,
authentic
integrity
and
genuinely
wanting
to
do
all
that
he
could
to
ensure
our
satisfaction
and
initiate
what
will
likely
be
a
long
relationship
with
Ciocca.
He
was
enjoyably
engaging
with
very
clear
contract
explanations
and
our
overall
dialogue
was
relaxingly
unhurried.
Jessie
even
went
the
extra
yard
to
somehow
apply
the
college
graduate
bonus
when
at
first
we
didn’t
think
it
was
possible.
What
a
juxtaposition
of
experiences
from
one
day
to
the
next
and
how
this
demonstrates
that
the
intangibles
are
as
impressive,
if
not
more
than,
as
the
measurables!!
Tyler
and
Jessie
exceeded
our
expectations
and
we
simply
want
to
thank
them
both
for
reforming
a
not
so
pleasant
situation
into
a
great
one
and
restoring
our
faith
in
automobile
buying.
I
can
cheerfully
put
my
pliers
back
in
the
toolbox
where
they
belong
😊
Thank
you!!
