I really liked the outdoor area. Nice place to eat and watch the bustle of Washington Ave. A bit pricey but I liked the selections. I would recommend the croquettes, the cuban sandwich and the lechon asada.

BEWARE OF HIDDEN 20% SERVICE FEE (tip) BECUZ THEY WON'T TELL YOU We ordered empanadas beef and chicken with a delicious aoli that's Fresh and a Mango cheese cake. Cheesecake was awful Awesome 🎵🎶🎵 even if u don't know Spanish it's got u dancing in your seat. Oscar who greeted and sat us great personality and friendly. Helpful with menu items. However didn't tell us about hidden tipping being shady is deplorable. Oscar got 61% tip bcuz I wound up double tipping and he said nothing. This was our first dinning experience in Miami and had NO idea of 20% HIDDEN TIPPING. I felt and still feel ripped off.. I would recommend this lil restaurant corner of Washington n 7th St Just BEWARE I've learned a valuable lesson since coming to Miami check my bill of charges b4 adding tip. Just check your bill b4 u double tip like I did.

The bread is pressed crispy enough to play shuffleboard on. But we also really like what’s going on underneath that bread: Lechon, aged ham, house pickles, and kewpie mustard. Another great thing about this sandwich: you can pair it with one of the excellent house beer.

This was the best snapper I had on south beach, it was huge and cooked just right (not fried too hard). My server Oscar went out of his way to go to the restaurant next store to grab authentic hot sauce since I didn't prefer franks hot sauce which was great. I ate outside and listened to the music. Everything was great. Will be back soon

The BEST Cuban food I've ever had. Authentic, high quality ingredients, excecuted to perfection. The food is truly gourmet, Michelin Star worthy Cuban food. Well done Chef Andrew and team. Besides the exceptional food, and delicious drinks, what truly makes this an exceptional experience, is the wonderful, attentive, and warm service which Oscar provided to us on our first night out and dinner in Miami. If we lived here, we would be regulars. Thank you Oscar, Chef, and team for a wonderful Cuban 🇨🇺 dinner experience in Miami beach.

Had an amazing meal and experience at Esquina Cubana, from the food to the service— everything was perfect. Jessica was our waitress and she was great, attentive and fun to talk to. I’ll definitely be back ☺️

I’m Cuban and this place has authentic Cuban food. So fresh! Delicious and when I tell you the flan is amazing! Trust me it’s better than my mothers and that’s hard to beat. Best flan I’ve ever had. My husband scraped his plate clean. And the presentation on dishes amazing.

Came here for a quick dinner with the bestie. Had a pretty good experience. We both ordered the lechon (I mean it’s a Cuban place). The pork was good with the mojo (you might want to ask for extra). The rice was spot on and the yuca was definitely tasty. The service was great (very attentive) and super friendly. Our waitress Gezlyn was earned an A+. I ordered the passion maragarita for a drink but wasn’t throughly impressed and they gladly replaced it for a frozen one which was better. I would come back for dinner to try other items.

We came in for a date night and had an excellent time here! My goodness! The mojitos are fresh and just perfection. I had the croquettes and the shrimp and it was heavenly. This is how you want to experience Cuban food! Make a reservation because they get packed late night.

Good atmosphere and great food! There's lots of options for food and Cuban food in South Beach but Esquina Cubana is definitely shines. First up the mojitos are big by default but there's a fishbowl upgrade available. And it's for all the flavor Mojitos so you can't go wrong. You can tell the bar tenders know what they are doing. They aren't using some cheap mix. The drinks come from the bar. It's a very distinctive decorated well. It's worth seeing at night. Of course if alcohol isn't your thing there is always coffee. You have the whole range fr espresso to cafe con Leche and other variations. For appetizer you can't go wrong with either shrimp ceviche or the croquettes. The ceviche came with some salad garnish and banana chips. Perfect additions to add texture and flavor to the dish. It was delightful scooping up with the chips. Now the croquettes....they were something worth writing home about. They were not shaped traditionally, more of a hush puppy size and shape. The flavor was very immense. The beef was cooked so well and the crust was nice and crunchy. A must have! After being delighted by the appetizers it was time for the main dishes. The ropa vieja was cooked well and with a great flavor. The beef was totally shredded from the slow cooking like it should be. The sauce for it was also done well. It had flavor but was not overwhelmed with oil and fats from the beef reduction. The plantains made it a very satisfying dish. Probably one of the best versions of ropa vieja I have had. I also go sample the vaca frita for the first time. It was another surprise and delight for the night. Basically is is the same beef used in the ropa vieja but cooked a little differently. It is slow cooked but fried a little at the end. This adds a little more depth and dimension of flavor than the ropa vieja. This may be my new go to dish from now on! There's a couple choices for dessert. Just go with the traditional dessert. flan or tres leche and you're set. Can't wait to come back and try more!

I had a great time eating here! The food was delicious and our server Oscar was so nice about helping us with drinks and food. It was raining before we got there and the staff were quick to wipe off the outdoor tables for people to sit down. I have crutches and got seated at an accessible table and was able to have my crutches put away in a secure spot. I got the pan con lechon and truffle french fries and my girlfriend got the cuban sandwich and they were amazing!

We decided to dine at this Cuban restaurant near our hotel for a change of flavor. Although it's primarily an outdoor setup, they do have a couple of indoor tables, and the ceiling fans provide a comfortable breeze. My fiance and I both opted for seafood dishes. She devoured her meal in record time, and mine was cooked to perfection. The service was exceptional. Oscar was quick to assist us and checked in on us a couple of times to see if we needed anything. He was remarkably attentive and made sure we had everything we required for a delightful dining experience.

The host greeted us immediately and answered all our questions about the Cuban Cuisine. The atmosphere was relaxing and exciting. We thoroughly enjoyed the empanadas, entrees and plantains. Highly recommend!

Stopped to get Cuban Food at Esquina Cubana because we couldn’t leave MIA without some Cuban Food. Everything was delicious. Guacamole was flavorful and loved the plantains with it 👌🏾The Cuban sandwich hit the SPOT. The star was the Caribbean Octopus with saffron oil &black olive pate!!! It had all the flavors and textures. Was inspired by how that dish was put together. Perfect lunch

Excellent Cuban sandwiches and mojitos in Miami Beach. The restaurant is built out beautifully and will make you feel like you’re in old Havana. Would highly recommend for casual drinks and lunch. Gorgeous Al fresco dinning.

This restaurant is divine. Very fun and inviting atmosphere. Perfect outdoor seating. Authentic Cuban cuisine that competes anywhere in Miami. The waiter Oscar, is attentive, friendly and informative on the dishes. I highly recommend the Lecheon Asado. It's a pork-gasm. The marriage of sateied onions and mojo pork is the best I've eaten. Mixed with black beans and rice is perfect Cuban cuisine. This one should not be missed when visiting South Beach.

Can not say enough great things about this place! The staff was extremely friendly & the service was great. The food speaks for itself. If you eat anywhere on South Beach, you are making a huge mistake if you don’t make a stop here. We ordered the whole fish, some apps & the shrimp dinner. Andy, the head chef, prepared the fish to perfection. The flavor in each dish was amazing! The manager, Carlos, checked in on us during our meal multiple times & was very helpful with recommendations. Will certainly be back!

We are walking around Miami South Beach and found this Google 4.9 grade Cuban restaurant. We are curious how this bistro can get such great reviews -- After trying it out, I have to say it indeed live up to this rank! The dish there has such a clean and classic taste, and their mojito is just as satisfactory. Very classic. I enjoyed my lechen asado there. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and I liked the atmosphere (they do have very good music selections). This place is conveniently located at the crossroads of 7th St. Please note that 20% gratuity is included.

Small relaxed place with surprisingly great food and service. We walked up mid day with a party of 12 and they made accommodations. Everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks.

We went for lunch on a Saturday. We were promptly seated outside. There are 4 seats at the bar and the rest of the seating is outside. Take this into consideration based on weather. The outside seating is covered. We received great service from Geilyn. She checked on us frequently and we were never in need of anything . She brought us complimentary plantain chips. We started with the empanadas and croquettes. Both were very good. The empanadas were typical, but the croquettes were very unique. They were stuffed with shredded beef (ropa vieja) and melted cheese. The empanadas are on chicken and one beef and are served with a tasty creamy green sauce. The CHURRASCO sandwich at $38 was a little pricy. It had good flavor and came with potato stix. It is served on pressed Cuban bread. The roast pork was flavorful and comes with yuca and moros. The tres leches was of the best I’ve ever had. The drinks are made with wine and not alcohol. They do not have a liquor license, only a beer and wine license. This made the cocktails much weaker than if they were made with liquor. There is convenient parking in the public garage on 7th street and Washington Ave. the restroom is shared with other restaurants and it down the sidewalk a few storefronts.

In town for a business trip and found this place on Google. I'm so glad I did! They have a cute outdoor seating with delicious food and great ambience. My server Geilyn was so sweet and hospitable. Definitely try the Ropa Vieja and flan. It tastes like I literally walked into a Cuban grandma's house. 😊

In a city bustling with activity, this hole in the wall Cuban restaurant feels like a cozy hideaway with outstanding food. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and overall would rate this 10/10.
