First off 12/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Now down to the nitty gritty. This is amazing food that you simply have to try and it honestly ranks as the Top places I have ever eaten, and I've eaten at countless places. You will be hard pressed to find a more unique and utterly delicious menu anywhere else. Please make sure you order the Carne Asada Fried Rice if it is still on the menu when you go.

Decent food, but I was expected to tip to order my food at the window, pick up my food, bring my dirty plates and silverware back, and separate all of them in different bins. Not to mention, the service was terrible. When my fries were not tossed in the advertised aji, I asked and he accused me of lying, because that is totally something I would lie about.

It had been a while since we had been to Black Cat so at first we were disappointed that the food had changed. However, this changed when I tasted the Pan con Chicharron. It was an amazing sandwich. The only negative was that it left me wanting even more of it! The carne asada fried rice unfortunately was okay but not great. It was actually really disappointing after trying the Pan con Chicharron. I'd give this place 5 stars but the Pan con Chicharron is only a special and it may not be there when others go. I'll be trying this again though and hopefully have another great experience so I can update the review. Sorry about the red photos, the lighting in the bar is not the best for food photos.

The fried rice here has no right to be as good as it is. I've eaten a lot of food from a lot of places in my life, but this late night, in-bar, street-food friend rice is, and continues to be, one of the greatest things I have ever, ever eaten. If you have any chance to eat it, I implore you to do so. I would EASILY put this place in the top three restaurants I have eaten in my entire life. I don't think words can adequately explain how incredible this food actually is, you HAVE to come try it.

Black Cat – Garzon Latinx Street Food 12.14.2022 On a chilly Wednesday night at 7:08 p.m., I entered the red-light glowing Black Cat Bar, Seattle, which was tastefully filled with community and gambit. Every Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm to close, Belltown Chess is held. There is plenty of seating at the bar and elsewhere. During this time, pinball is 100% available, and there are no requirements for silence, as Iron Maiden is made aware at a comfortable high note. Tonight, I Indulged into two Items from Garzon Latinx street food Menu PATACONES Twice-fried plantains with aioli—dangerously delicious. After taking the first couple bites of crispy, lip-smacking fried bananas, I paused, and my mind drifted into my inspired foodie dream land. Enter Dream Land Thoughts: I want this delicious snack, but I want it prepared for a celebration with my family and friends. Patacones multiplied by 12 on a platter alongside a gathering of nice, big, saucy grilled fish, and I'm sure the chef at Garzon could come up with something even better than I could imagine elevating the cuisine experience. Patacones multiplied by 12 on a platter alongside a gathering of nice, big, saucy grilled fish, and I'm sure the chef at Garzon could come up with something even better than I could imagine elevating the cuisine experience. I'm making a note in my phone to remind myself to email Garzon about catering menus in the future. This is an absolute must! STEAK PINCHOS Three marinated and grilled steak skewers paired with the house aji &aioli. Every time I have had this snakish dish, I have enjoyed it. Over the course of the year, regardless of location or pop-up, it has evolved into a mighty fine savory treat. The house aji with spices gives it a nice mild kick and is a pleasurable partner with the forward aroma of garlic in their creamy aioli. This is a generous deal at a reasonable fare of $10. My unusual pairing was a double Aperol spritz. Aperol, to me, informs my body to get ready for a delicious meal, preferably during the daytime or evening before meals. I will choose an aperitif or amaro before diving into the classics. This spritz, which can be off-putting to some due to its herbaceous sweetness and improper sparkling to club soda ratio, is done appropriately by Black Cat! Long story short. Dine at the Black Cat, Experience Garzon, Play Chess on Wednesdays and relax with a proper bevy of your choice. @Belltownchess

You have to try the choripan and the milanesa sandwich. Classic South American street food done very well. It comes with a lot of fries too. Very good meal!

Cook bar. We visited on Valentine's evening for a casual early dinner. The vibe was good. Fried chicken had a reeeeally good dip, crispy on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside. I would not recommend the fried potato and egg dish... It was literally 1 potato pancake with a sunny side up egg on top. I mean... I know eggs are expensive but just one? I think that dish was $7? Husband got a sandwich with fries. It was good.

Only got the fries here, but it was one of the best baskets of fries I’ve ever gotten. The vinaigrette they toss them in is heaven, and the dipping sauce elevates that even further. I mean, if the fries are this good, I can’t wait to come back and try everything else! 10/10, this will definitely be a regular Seattle spot for me!

Screw that guy that gave a 1 star review for having to pick up his food from the counter, grow up. Food was too good. Chicken Sando was perfect and the sauce that comes with the fries is top notch. Highly recommend!!!

Pork belly is so good, it's messed up. Melts in your mouth. Lentils are amazing. The chickens excellent. The burgers fantastic. All the food is so good. Staffs great and super friendly. The kid with the bandana always brings so much energy to every interaction. I think we also interacted with the owner and he was great too. Yeah. This place is my current favorite place in the city.

Worked through the menu last night and it was incredible. What a great option for quality chef driven food at a dive bar. Seriously Garzon has some magic happening in the kitchen

If you visit Seattle, you should see Garzon. If you are adventurous, the food differs slightly from a typical restaurant—food from a region of Ecuador. Ceviche with a bit of peanut butter, pork belly on an arroz con moros, and my favorite, the fried chicken. I think Garson should get a Michelin star just for the chicken. I would say the best chicken I have tried.

I had tried Garzon when it didn’t have this permanent location yet and had been wanting to go to their new location in beltown! To say the least, I was beyond happy with the food, I tried and absolutely loved all items (ceviche, choripán and moros with pork belly). This menu reminds me so much of back home in Ecuador and it is extremely authentic to those flavors, it was nostalgic to get a piece of that so far here in Seattle. Absolutely will be back and 100% recommend to anyone who wants to try some amazing South American flavors. Can’t wait to go back!!

I’m a vegetarian so I got the llapingacho - cheesy potato cake with peanut sauce and a fried egg. Omg! Holy flavor. It was delicious, perfectly spiced, and I wish I’d gotten two. And the service was wonderful. I’ll be back.

Easily 10/10. Simple menu but extremely delicious food. Highly recommend Carne Asada Fried Rice and Pork Soba Noodle Saltado

My girlfriend, her friend and myself all came to Black Cat for drinks but quickly got hungry after seeing the food come out of the kitchen. We stood at the window where they take orders and they were kind enough to walk us through the menu and provide recommendations based on taste and dietary preferences. We ordered more than we needed because it all sounded incredible. The food comes out hot, fresh and fast and it’s all delicious. There’s some vegetarian options and meat options too. I adore the plantain chips and the carne asada fried rice! Thanks to the Garzon team!

Wow wow wow get yourself OVER HERE! The food is exceptional, unlike anything else you can get in the area. It’s clear that the chef and crew are committed to the craft. Service was excellent and the FOH staff was so friendly. Grab a drink at the bar (Black Cat), bring a buck or two for ski ball, order one of EVERYTHING, and have yourself one hell of a date night. Will absolutely be back! (For those across the lake, trust me when I say: the trip from Eastside is worth it for this place!)
