Ukrainian restaurant!! Their dishes may not look appealing if you just gave them a glance. But the spice that they are using, the flavor, the taste, the texture, all seemed familiar but different from what you had experienced before. Every single sip and bite is full or surprise!

I had better expectations. The servers are a mess this is the worst costumer service ever ( I ordered a cappuccino and I never get it, if you don’t speak Ukrainian or Russian they don’t understand what you want to order. I had to repeat myself multiple times and did not get it right away. When I asked for correction she said I did not mention it…) was 3 servers and they don’t know how to manage the place … I’m very disappointed. The food is ok but it’s important to make you feel like you want to come back. Definitely not coming back to this place.. Please improve it , this food deserves to be famous .. Food 4⭐️ Servers and place ⭐️

Small, quaint bakery and restaurant. The scrambled eggs were smooth and creamy. The Napoleon cake was sweet and perfectly balanced. The breakfast potatoes were addictive. I was very happy with my meal there

Cute cozy little cafe on Chicago ave. We came on a snowy day and the hearty foods hit the spot. There was just a tad too much potato in my beef stew but flavors were good and beef tender. The rolls were so pillowy we couldn’t stop eating. Ended with a honey walnut cake that was delicious. Service was a bit slow as only 2 people worked there, but otherwise no complaints!

Oh I wish I lived closer. We visited during a recent visit to the “Ukrainian Village”. Excellent Ukrainian cuisine, and reasonable by Chicago standards. Can we talk cakes? Delicious and artistically presented. We were very happy we made time to stop for lunch when we stopped by to buy two cakes (pre-ordered). The one on the table is the Napoleon cake, the one in the box is the Walnut Torte.

We decided to try this place after reading the reviews, and the food is so delicious. Everything we ordered (crepe, borscht soup, dumplings) were super good. Will definitely come back. Highly recommend!

This is a wonderful neighborhood cafe with terrific food. The borscht was light and flavorful, and oh myyyy the pierogi/varenyky. We had both the potato and cheese and the farmers cheese with scallion sauce. Everything was delightful and the service was great.

We'd heard that this place was an amazing Ukrainian Cafe that everyone needs to visit if they're in Ukrainian Village, so we went for breakfast. My friend had delicious crepes, and I had amazing pelmeni dumplings, so absolutely five stars for the food. The cafe itself was white and bright but otherwise unremarkable. The service, on the other hand, was remarkably slow. It appeared only two employees were working on a Saturday during brunch hours, so I suspect there's probably a staffing issue, but it took at least 15 minutes in between every interaction - being seated to ordering, ordering to getting coffee, getting coffee to getting food, and most difficult, from the point at which the waitress cleared our table to when the waiter swung by to ask if we wanted our check. Just make sure you allot a fair amount of time, and hopefully this was just a one day issue, not an ongoing thing. I'd definitely come back!

Excellent dumplings. We got the pork filling dumplings which came with sour cream (great combo) and the farm cheese scallion dumplings. Both phenomenal. The honey pecan cake and chocolate coconut desserts were great. And it is BYOB which is a big selling point. Great visit.

This gem was recommended by the staff at the Ukrainian Museum and they were spot on!! I got the Saturday special soup, meat was super tender and the flavors complemented each other very well. It came with house maid bread, I recommend soaking the bread inside the soup until soft then eating it. Pierogies were the perfect texture too.

This is a mixed review. I really wanted to like this restaurant, because the food was good and it’s a quaint, clean, & pretty cafe, but it’s hard to give this place a good review when the customer service was so poor. Customer service & being greeted in a friendly manner are important to me. Sadly, the last two times we dined here, the server, a young man, was un-attentive, unfriendly & ignored us. Because the food was so good I gave this restaurant a second chance, but sadly on my second visit, the service was just as bad, if not worse . I noticed the waiter was busy on his laptop & looking at his phone, instead of focusing his attention on the customers. To make matters worse, he was very unfriendly. A smile goes a long way in making somebody feel welcome, but I did not feel welcome at all. For these reasons, I will not be returning to this restaurant. In spite of the fact that their food was good, the service was so terrible that I just can’t return.
