We stopped by on our way to the airport. Unlike a lot of aquarium/pet stores I’ve been to, the owner was more than happy to show us around and entertain conversation and insight even after knowing we wouldn’t be purchasing anything. If I lived in the traverse city area I would absolutely purchase all my aquarium needs here. 5 stars hands down.

Amazing store! Hidden gem of traverse city. The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Store is very clean and all the tanks hold beautiful, vibrant, and healthy critters 😊. Coral selection is out of this world. Tons of beautiful coral displays, and even though this is the only place i can find to get coral (or really any marine critters) within 100 miles, his prices are surprisingly low. This store has literally everything i needed for my first reef tank, and the owner has been a HUGE help getting me started, and im a total newbie😅. I strongly reccomend this store for both first timers and experienced reef enthusiasts. 👍👍

Great place to shop! Kevin the owner is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to set me up with everything I needed to start my saltwater reef tank! There’s a great selection of heathy fish and corals to choose from. Today marked 5 weeks since my start up so I decided to add my first coral. Kevin informed me this coral in the picture can take days to open after being introduced to a tank. This picture was taken 2 hours after I placed it in the tank! I strongly recommend Aquallations!

I have been dealing with Kevin for my aquarium hobby needs for over 20 years, at various venues. Kevin (Aqualations) had always been as helpful, and informative as his time would allow, as he stays very busy keeping his stock clean, healthy and organized. His knowledge and passion for aquatic and / or marine life is unique and on point. What I appreciate the most, is that he has spoke about attending seminars and meetings to build on what seems to be a never ending thirst for even more knowledge. Kevin cares about the community of hobbyists as well - always encouraging aquaculture within the vast and growing network of people who share his joy of the hobby itself. His store never disappoints, and he is fair, and competitive with his prices. My wife and I are 1.5 hours away, so it's always a special treat to visit Aqualations in TC!

Decent, though somewhat smaller, selection of both saltwater and freshwater, does custom orders for people and everything he did have looks healthy and beautiful! We were on the lookout for neocaridina cherry shrimp, which he had a few babies off and said more were coming in a week. Will be back!

Great place to visit... Fish selection a little slim but hey it's early 2021 & to be expected with everything going on. BUT had what I wanted and they look great!!!

Store is small but has a little bit of everything, and the owner will order anything you need. Lots of healthy livestock, and great service.
