WCIA 3

Television station

👍 Mostly a decent source for local news. However, they have an annoying mutant doing the weather and occasionally food related segments. As soon as I see his repulsive visage I change channels.

Really miss when you could get the weather every 10 minutes. Now you might not see the extended forecast for 30 or 40 minutes. Sorry if this is too critical, I know the meteorologists at WCIA have thin skin. I would just like to see weather and that's all. Thanks.

I do so enjoy your commercial where students are saying the pledge of allegiance. I love seeing children reciting a pledge that I firmly believe in. I stop what I'm doing and take in their expressions as they recite. I review what this country has to offer to these young men and women. And wonder what the future holds for them . Their Teacher and Parents must feel proud. I imagine this is exciting for students to be on TV. I usually dislike commercials, but this one I pay full attention to daily. Thanks, and I declare well done!

Everyone we encounter when we perform on ciLiving is polite, kind and friendly, from the on air talent to the production crew. WCIA was the only station available when I was a kid growing up in Mattoon and it's still my "go to" station now, especially for local news and events.

Rubbish, CBS-owned, left-wing biased "journalism". Change over past several years is obvious and worsening. Veteran newscasters gone, now a revolving door of inexperienced anchors, reporters, and inept managers. WAND and FOX Champaign are now the new channels of choice locally. With all cable TV news swirling the drain, to choose a clear bias in reporting (particularly one that doesn't reflect the overall viewership) is like pulling the handle for the final flush.

Watching this morning we had a story about a chistmas market that closed Sunday for the umpteenth time, covid stories from Springfield, Peoria, Rockford, Chicago. Stories seem to repeat every 15 minutes. I guess you don't need to watch after you get the daily weather. Oh I can get that from the app. Morning Show is a complete waste of time. Talented on air, just no content

More details coming up in a bit. This should be WCIA weather slogan. All talk but very little info. Unless it's storming, then you get a solid 7 hours of Jacob Dickey jabbering on. Thankfully we can still tune into WAND or Newschannel 20. They actually show the forecast often and get to the point. Hey atleast WCIA shows the 5 day solar forecast every 10 minutes! Why not just show the actual forecast?!?!
