A must see in Gilbert!! I’ve attached a picture of the inside and the entrance so you can know what to expect. It was so awesome and the volunteers were super nice. It was cloudy at first so we only saw the moon, but we walked around the park for a while (fun trivia around on signs!) and the sky cleared up. We asked to see the Orion Nebula and it was stunning. This is a great Gilbert gem!!!

Water reclamation ponds (8 of)are utilized as a wonderful park and bird sanctuary. Now there are 60 or so white pelicans as with cormorants, night herons, ducks and shore birds and so many others. This location is a gem for birders, photographers, and kids. It’s a must see. Small improvements have been made allowing viewing and keeping people on the paths. Rock squirrels and bunnies abound. Free to all. Dogs allowed on leash.

Great place for site seeing and minie adventure for the kids. My kid enjoys the park every time we are here. Don't forget to check out the free admission to the telescope.

A heavily trafficked, yet gorgeous park with dirt and paved trails. Bathrooms, benches, rest areas and trash cans available - plus plenty of shade. Pleased to see the wildlife including the pelicans, ducks, squirrels, and rabbits. Highly recommend walking as opposed to biking due to high foot traffic. Only downside is small parking lot - can fit maybe 15 cars, but overflow in the next lot!

Fantastic!! They had videos to watch with some awesome facts. This is free, which was nice. They do take donations. If you're able to pass some extra change, it's definitely worth sharing. They give a great presentation.

This was an interesting visit, even for a non-astronomer. Only one or two people can enter the interior at a time, so best to arrive before dusk to avoid a long line and long wait. I suspect that the views would be best for Saturn and Jupiter.

The staff were so awesome. My grandson asked questions that were answered with the same enthusiasm that he expressed. He’s into the skies and they afforded him his indulgence.

The ponds were loaded with ducks. The scenery was beautiful. Wasnt there long enough to explore the whole place but would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to walk or couples looking for a quiet place to sit and reflect.

Beautiful place to go for a walk and enjoy nature. Lots of birds to see and ponds to fish in. Very family friendly and handicap accessible. Highly recommend going.

I almost didn't want to write this review. This place is amazing. Beautiful scenery, animals abound, lovely (easy) hiking paths. Plenty of cool activities to do with children, feed ducks, fishing, look for dinosaur bones in the sandbox (no, really).

I'm a regular as I volunteer at the observatory. Love the area as it has many things to do such as fishing, hiking, viewing the wonders of the universe thru a 16" telescope, bird watching, photography, and more. Highly recommend.

Great place to view nature!!! This time, it was just my 8 yr old grandson & myself but we spotted rabbits, chipmunks (I think), ducks, turtles, hummingbirds, & lots more than I can remember. Decent play area for the kids to burn off some energy. Lots of wide, well maintained dirt paths to wander around on. The family comes here often & we always enjoy ourselves.
