It was like I was transported back to the streets of Mumbai, enjoying a delicious traditional pav bhaji from a local vendor. The fries were equally outstanding, perfectly seasoned and crispy with just the right amount of salt. Crab Cake Tacos had a unique twist on a classic dish was executed perfectly, with a crispy outer layer and a succulent filling that was bursting with flavor. The owners even gave us a tester vegan crunchy shrimp, which was crispy and tangy sauce adding the perfect touch of zing. Every dish was packed with flavor and fun, making it hard to believe they were vegan. As someone who has lived in Indy for three years, I can confidently say that Plantastic Indy is redefining the vegan "flavored" food scene in Indianapolis. I highly recommend that you visit this gem of a place and taste their amazing food. The owners were the sweetest and clearly put so much effort into every dish. And, as they mentioned, they will be opening a new location soon, so I can't wait to see what else they have in store. Overall, this is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious, flavorful vegan food.

Truthfully, I don’t know why it has taken me so long to write this review. Every morsel I get from this establishment taste as if it was commissioned by the gods themselves. No joke I really can’t explain how the food taste but let me explain the difference between eating food that is just put together and consuming food that has been crafted in love. First of all the owners story is one that you have to go in for yourself and explore or find me online. I’m sure I will interview them in the near future. Nonetheless, let’s get to the meals! I have tasted mostly everything on the menu my favorite is the Bombay followed by the po boy then bring around the steak! As a vegan, I find it more satisfying to simply cook at home because restaurants just mess it all up -fake taste and vegetables, fake looking meat. It’s all terrible but at Plantastic Indy everything looks as if you were eating the actual food-I can’t appreciate that. They called the shrimp well shrimp because it has the same texture and flavor as shrimp. How? I don’t know, but I have already convinced that if they told me that they were not telling the truth, and these were actually shrimp as if someone went to the ocean and plucked it out of the sea, and out of his shell I would absolutely not care 👏🏾the food👏🏾Is that good👏🏾. I am delighted to have found Plantastic Indy and look towards working with them in the future to be able to satisfy all hunger needs. I absolutely love this place I recommend it !!I am committed to following them wherever they go, because I no longer have to feed myself. We had a Bhaji burger and it was delicious. Imagine a American hamburger and Indian cuisine having a baby. A unique spin on a classic item! The chili was phenomenal, came back with a little kick, which is just how we like it. But what really was the icing on the cake, was the incredible service that we received. We're always nervous and concerned eating out, not only being vegan but having a gluten-free diet as well. They were so accommodating, and went through the menu with us and really made us feel special. We will be back for sure!! Can't wait to try some more GF options!

Ordered here for the first time and was greeted with the lovely owners! Their vegan shrimp is the BEST I have ever had. I am becoming a regular starting now :)

Had the crab cake tacos!!!! Amazing. I would have never know they were plant based. The homemade pickled onions with the sauces and fresh cilantro top it off. Try the hot apple cider, you won’t regret it!!! Especially on a cold winter day! You can feel the love these owners put into their food! Side note: All there to go containers are compostable as well!!! ♻️

Wow! Flavors that pack a punch and very friendly staff! I picked up my order and was personally greeted by one of the staff members and given a fresh free sample. And then I got home and the food was delicious. I especially recommend the Bombay Bhaji burger, the crab cake tacos, and the shrimp. Sheer perfection and we will be ordering again.

What an unexpected treat! I ate quite possibly the best vegan burger of my life at Plantastic. I was driving home from St. Louis to Dayton and randomly found this spot on Google. I had no idea what to expect when I arrived in the foyer with a giant touch screen and not much else. But don't let the austere decor steer you away. The woman working the counter at this apparently shared space was super friendly. And when my Indy burger was ready about 10 min later, the owner came out to hand deliver the food! He was super nice and brought a free sample of the fried shrimp that literally blew my mind. It was as good as any vegan fast food I've ever had, and I've tried a decent amount of spots all around the country. It was so good I'm planning a 2 hr road trip to Indy just to bring my wife there. Please bring Plantastic to Dayton! And don't miss out if you're in the area.

This place is amazing!! Vegan food at its finest!! The shrimp is so tasty, you will do a double take!! Got the shiitake wings last visit, mind blown!! I’ve been vegan since 2017 and these are hands down the best plant based wings I’ve ever put in my mouth!! The owners are the nicest people too, they come out to meet new customers and bring them samples. I can’t wait to participate in the growth of Plantastic Indy!! I love y’all and your food!!

Plantastic is fantastic! I have become addicted and have ordered a couple of times a week since I discovered it a month or two ago. It can be difficult being a vegan in Indianapolis, especially one who likes to eat conveniently and late. Plantastic makes that possible. Often I’ll go pick it up in person because the couple who owns and operates are so friendly. They are clearly passionate about the food they make and sometimes let me try what they’ve been working on. Can’t wait for them to open their own space so I can take all my friends and family because YOU DO NOT have to be vegan to enjoy this delicious food. 10/10 Would Recommend

The customer service here is impeccable 10/10. The Kyoto Salmon was delicious, I’ve never had planet based salmon and I was blown away, the fries were nice and crispy. I can’t wait to try my Hibachi Steak. I will for sure be back especially to try the Bang Bang Shrimp Taco.

Holy Moly!! This place is amazing!! My wife and I decided to check this place out while we were in town visiting. We had the GF shrimp with remoulade sauce and the GF eggplant parmesan. Both were unbelievably delicious! The owners are the nicest couple you could hope to meet. Thank you so much! We will definitely be back!

This place is the definition of a hidden gem! The location is nondescript and you might not know if you’re walking into the right place at first — but you’ll get greeted with warmth and enthusiasm and in our case, some free samples! They are so passionate about their cause and they provide such an awesome personal touch. And the food — unparalleled. My omnivore friend raved about her bahn mi. They’re bringing something special to the table here. We will be back soon and often! PS, sorry we meant to get some pictures of our food but we devoured it all on sight!

A great option for take out! Easy process for ordering and the owner even brought out samples while we were waiting for our order. I had the Crab Cake Tacos and my boyfriend had the Simply Plantastic Indy Burger with fries. Our meals were so delicious, in convenient/thoughtful packaging and included a hand written note. The fries have a nice twist to them and the sauce it comes with is amazing. We will def be back soon!

FOOD IS CRAZY GOOD! Please do yourself a favor and try the vegan shrimp. You wouldn’t believe how good it tastes as far as the texture and sauce and flavor goes. Owners are so nice and we also enjoyed the bombay and kyoto burger. their fries also have a very satisfying crisp that i have never experienced anywhere else. Would give a 10/10 if i could. If you’re interested in vegan foods this would be my most recommended place in Indy. Will be back whenever i’m in the area. Much love from Georgia

Great grab-and-go option in Indy! I ordered a plant-based salmon burger today from Plantastic and was greeted promptly with friendliness and kindness at the restaurant. The burger was delicious and I will definitely be coming back.

Hands down, my favorite restaurant in Indianapolis! Whether, you're vegan or non-vegan, the flavor is amazing. And I love that they use compostable takeout containers. I've ordered here at least once a week since I found them 2-3 months ago. My favorite is the simply Plantastic Burger, but Kyoto is a close second. Eventually I'll stop ordering those so I can actually try the other things on the menu. :) Oh and the fries are a must. Thank you for the delicious food!

Absolutely mouth watering tasty! Such a great vegan kitchen. They have all the comfort vegan foods with their own twists and spins on great wholesome food. Definitely will be a weekly favorite for order out!
