This place is awful. Avoid it all costs. The doctors and nurse practitioners are the worst I have ever dealt with. They over drug you and don't bother learning your history. They don't keep records of what they give their patients or what they can handle. And then they focus on the negative things instead of anything positive. If a patient is older they figure what’s the point in helping them, they might as well give up. Sure hope they get looked into. They need to start focusing on actually helping patients instead of convincing them to give up. The only positive things I can say is the place is clean and most of the nurses are good.

No diagnosis to my issues while dealing with covid. My insurance isn't the best but, as a working individual I sure received a hefty bill to pay for absolutely nothing more than a mediocre massage that entails multiple bills from multiple sources. Health care is as corrupt as the oil and pharmaceutical industries! I believe all industries and services should implement the same practices. I work in hvac...we should send someone to look at the problem, someone to diagnose the problem, then send someone to possibly fix the problem and bill accordingly. Sounds fair doesn't it?

I came into the ER in 2019, for a concern I had. They charged me like I was a Category 5 or whatever category they bill your insurance if you are in critical condition. Even though I drove myself from Blue Mounds, and drove myself back. I had insurance, but they charged me 2800 saying I was at the highest category or ER patient, despite driving myself there and back. They are all about money. I was there for about an hour. Categorized me as if I came into the ER in an ambulance with 2 bullets in my head. After paying almost $2k for this benign visit, sent me to collections with Paskin & Oberwetter. Not sure how someone who was there for an hour, had basic tests performed, had to pay X-Ray company directly, still owed you 2800?

I confirmed my appointment in person at the Spring Green location with a female who said she is the manager. I later got a phone call from a female who said her name is Julie who told me that UHH would not be accepting me as a patient and then she hung up on me when I tried to find out more information. My husband came with me to check in person with the manager about whether or not I actually had an appointment. The manager told us I did not have an appointment and that if we did not leave the premises that the police would be called. Checking to see if an appointment has been canceled or not when you have been told two different things is not breaking any laws that we are aware of. This situation is extremely distressing, intimidating and contrary to good healthcare.

I slipped on the ice and fractured my shoulder on a Friday afternoon. The personnel in the emergency room were friendly. However, the follow up was abysmal. There was no coverage over the weekend and I had an extremely difficult time getting a response on the following Monday from the orthopedic staff. I got bad advice about the nature of the fracture, which turned out to be an accurate. I eventually made my own appointment with university health, and, by comparison, the staff there were much more professional and knowledgeable. I do not recommend the orthopedic division of Upland Hills.

My dad was placed here while under hospice care. With the exception of one outstanding nurse, Taylor, I couldn't have been less impressed with the care he received. The schedule of his meds seemed to change from nurse to nurse resulting in periods where he wouldn't receive meds to manage his pain, placing him in great discomfort, which became an incredibly difficult experience for him, myself and my family. The nurse on his final night was horrendous. She attempted to put oral drops into my dad's eyes, before being stopped by a family member, she didn't know how to suction at all which causes him greater discomfort, and her demeanor was completely unprofessional and not reflective of the situation in my dad's room. I seriously wonder how she received any credentials to care for patients who need more than a band aid. Nobody in my family will step inside this hospital for care again. Go to UW.

After back surgery (in Madison) I started having problems again. I wanted to stay close to home for it instead of driving all the way to Madison and suggested UHH to my Dr. After the referral I tried calling to make an appointment. I was driving and went through a bad area, which I tried to explain to the scheduling person. Instead she sounded mad, like I was wasting her time and said "you're breaking up...goodbye " and then hung up on me. I've tried calling back to report this, and it may have finally gotten to someone (although I doubt it will go anywhere). I'll be going elsewhere for any appointments. The rude, unprofessional behavior made that decision for me.

Great experience at this hospital. The staff from beginning to end give exceptional care and compassion. Never had an experience like this at other medical facilities. Can't thank everyone enough for all they do and give to others.

I had to refuse to do (unpaid) med transport for a 88 yr old chemotherapy patient because I had contracted COVID-19. But they proceed to get angry at me. What, you want him to get sick... and die? Then, they want me to solve the problem or find a replacement. God forbid they have a patient stay longer than Medicare will pay for! I told them I already tried but my hands were tied, but nope they wouldn't drop it. Like this is all my fault. Extremely rude about the whole thing. It reminded me of how poorly they treated my cancer-ridden (and now deceased) uncle at this facility years ago. I thought things had changed. Just don't expect any patience or empathy if things get tough, that's all I'm saying.

I was in the waiting room and I notice a toddler with horrible red blistered skin disorder around her mouth. I asked the mom what happened. She said the topical medication they gave her daughter, gave her daughter 3rd degree burns. It was some topical agent the doctor prescribed. I got massive blistering all over my uterus from monsels solution. It was a side effect from monsels solution. The doctors try to tell me its cancer and that I need a $13,000 hysterectomy. Um, no the labwork was inconclusive for cancer. It's documented that monsel's causes this reaction and won't go away for, in one case study, 2 years. My uterus is going to be a blisted mess for 2 years. Julie Hollmer is a joke. She blew off my questions and insulted me. She said she'd call me back with the information about which brand of monsels was used. She called me back and insulted my intelligence. I have the recording of the lab results being indefinitive, inconclusive for cancer. The hospital falsified my medical record to get Badgercare to pay for a $13,000 hysterectomy and Upland Hills would get a kickback from the hospital they referred me to. The hospital is SSM. Dont trust Associated Pathologists Laboratory. That lab is contracted with 15 Hospitals and clinics in Wisconsin. They scam patients hardcore with double billing and give false diagnois to scam insurance for as much $$$ as possible. If you WANT to die, come to Upland Hills! They'll "git 'er done".

Upland is always a welcoming place. Polite and witty receptionist and other great employees. I tend to show up in a grumpy mood but always seem to leave in a better mood.

Upland Hills has a great ER team. The nurses and lab technicians were excellent. They were all super friendly and caring. The ER doctors were amazing, making sure they had an answer before I left. They even followed up with me after both visits. I would recommend this ER.

Our family has had several trips to the urgent care (we have several children) and it's consistently been a great experience (as good as can be expected for a trip to the hospital). We've never had to wait - we always get in almost immediately, get checked in and assigned a room to wait for the doctor. The staff is super-friendly (which is great late at night with a crying child) and really care about getting you in quickly to see a doctor. We've been to lots of urgent care facilities over the years and I think that this is the best one we've ever used!
