🍤🥪Vic & Al’s 🥪🍤 Vic & Al’s was insanely good!! Modern take on Cajun cuisine but strongly sticking to the roots. The flavor on every dish was just 🤤😘 The hostess recommended things on the menu and they were all 10/10 Highlights: - chicken thigh poboy IMPECCABLE - catfish red beans & rice - pork chop & potatoes - red bean fritters The only thing that was good but nothing out of this world was the gumbo (shocking, I know!) I am so excited to go back and get a taste of this place again. Also did I mention that it’s VERY good priced ?? ❤️🙌🏽

The gumbo is too good for words, and the cocktails are unique and refreshing. The staff here are amazing humans. Very kind and accommodating, and it creates a welcoming atmosphere. Really cute decor, love the wall of provisions and the crystal chandeliers.

Vic and Al’s took over the space formerly occupied by Unit D Pizzeria and they still use the oven shipped in from Italy! Vic and Al’s has great flavors and I was impressed. The food was a little slow coming out but had some drinks during that time. We tried a whole bunch of plates with my favorite being the gumbo. There are so many more things I want to try!!

Comfortable interior and delicious food. Lots of unique Cajun options and it’s awesome how you can get dishes with a choice of salad, sandwich bread, or rice. They did an excellent job of knowledgeably helping me choose dairy free options for my lactose intolerance. I think the only things they can’t make dairy free are: the blackened fish, because it’s cooked in a ton of butter, the po boy bread because it comes with butter, and the corn dog and one of the pies or something. The pig and rice was a solid option. Tasted like pig and rice. The salad was above average for a salad - lots of tasty vinegar and the beans were a nice touch. The gumbo was so flavorful and delicious, perhaps my favorite because I love flavorful dishes.

Each plate was crafted Beautifully and you can taste the freshness and quality of ingredients. I ordered the fried chicken thigh on their house salad, gumbo, boudin balls and beignets. Each was delicious. Service was attentive, quick and personable! Ashlynn was our server and she went above and beyond for our table. Cute decor, intimate vibes and friendly service! Would highly recommend to eat here!!

Coleyworld approved 💜 This place had it all. Ambiance, scrumptious Cajun fusion, delicious cocktails, wasn’t crazy crowded so we got a perfect corner booth for our party of five. Chicken and corn dogs were heaven. I love going new places and seeing how things are done differently. This place was unique and I’m so happy we went. Definitely recommend for a date night or a few friends.

Quaint and enjoyable place. Food comes out hot and is nicely portioned. Order in line and they deliver to table. Daily specials keep you coming back to discover more favorites. I had the chicken and rice. It was basically chicken strips and they were good. The corn dogs are tasty and just the right size for a couple bites. My friends and I ordered the entire menu and shared it all. Drinks are good and strong.

5 stars all across the board! Do not sleep on this place! Wonderful and such welcoming service on a cold and rainy day. Food was phenomenal and very flavorful in that every ingredient didn't overpower one another and delivered a standout experience. Blackened catfish and rice? sold! Get the gumbo and add their house made hot sauce. you won't be disappointed! I look forward to going back

Loved the ambience and decor but a bit disappointed with the food. Fried Chicken was unavailable so we had to go with Catfish and Bean Fritters over Rice. The catfish was good and went well with the rice but Bean Fritters over Rice felt too dry and lacked seasoning. Service was good, plenty of options for drinks at the bar and very friendly staff. OMG. Used to live in Houma, LA. Legit, in a word. Get the Gumbo--don't look back. The rest--can't go wrong. Honestly, I"m just so excited to find flavor profiles on target that I can't speak enough. The music is like a soft New Orleans jazz, and the staff is simply smiles and happy...the food is thru the roof insofar as the gumbo and chicken, but I will be back to get the rest after this stop. DANI ROX!!! Outside of Sawyers, this is the ONLY place in Austin I'd hit again for Louisiana fare. Luv it!!!

The fried chicken on rice is so amazing. The sauce is a bit spicy but not too much. The chicken is very crispy and juicy.

Our server highly recommended the blackened catfish on greens, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice that we absolutely loved! What added to the overall charm of the restaurant was its beautiful interior and great ambience. 10/10 recommend.

This place was great, everything I had was phenomenal except… the beets, wasn’t impressed with the beets but the fried chicken on rice was delicious and flavorful, the beignets could compare to the famous beignets of NOLA, this spot is legit. It’s a bit pricey but overall worth the price, my table ordered side salad, chicken on rice, beets, beignets, gumbo and boudin balls. Everything was truly delicious except the beets, the cocktails were good, the food amazing, and overall worth it and will be back. If you want Cajun in Austin this is one of the spots to be at

This place makes me wish I wasn't just visiting from out of town. The food is incredible. I tried the ribs, beet salad, potato salad, and bread pudding and loved all of it. I am looking forward to coming back.

Really cool place with quaint atmosphere and a small focused menu. The food and drinks we tried were all tasty and well made. Asked to substitute poboy bun for a side of salad on the Cochon and they were happy to accommodate change. Parking is a bit tough because it’s so small and crowded, hard to turn around and we had to part in nextdoor parking area.

I loved everything about this place from the food, the service and the atmosphere. The best part about it all was my food was able to come rather quickly. The drinks were very solid as well. I highly recommend coming here and doing it shared style, that way you can try more then one thing at a time.. I will definitely be back at this place again. I also here that their menu is seasonal. I am very excited to come back.

What a GEM! This place was amazing. The Gumbo was a must have dish. Red beans/rice was flavored and cooked to perfection. The potato Hash with pork belly and other tidbits was outstanding. I will be back to try everything on the menu.
