I have come here many times in the past, gotten fish in the past without issue. It’s been over a year since I’ve been in and something’s clearly wrong. A lot of empty tanks, a lot of long hair algae, and most distressing a lot of dead fish. I ended up just leaving and stopped looking in tanks. It was just too sad.

The way the animals are kept and treated is absolutely horrible. They are kept in cages/containers/tanks that are way too small. The animals attack each other and the owners lie and say they arrived like that. Saw a parakeet singing his heart out with an eye the size of an eraser from being bitten. When I came back a week later to save him, he was gone and when I asked the lady at the desk she said he came like that… Which isn’t true because he was mature, not a baby species but grown adult. Nice try on the lie though. Never coming back.

This place is a smaller, more intimate version of The House Of Tropicals located in Glen Burnie. The owner’s sister often runs the register. The owner, Tom, is grumpy. If you ask Tom a question, he will quickly direct you to a staff member. Other than Tom, I have always found the staff here friendly and accommodating. While off limits, the walls of taxidermy here are simply mesmerizing. Tom’s dependably stocks the crickets and small rats that I need to feed my lizards. Like House of Tropicals, the supply of rats usually runs dry by Monday, since the fresh supply arrives on Thursdays. Lastly, I always enjoy playing with the rabbits at the front of the store while waiting for my order. The rabbits and guinea pigs look very healthy.

Had an issue with my Pleco after it passed away and they made it right. Great place to go to get any sort of information. Thanks again!

The staff here is super friendly and helpful. They have lots of options for fresh and salt water fish. In addition, they have reptiles, bunnies, mice, and spiders. They have tanks/cages, decorations, and food for all the animals. I really enjoy shopping here and would highly recommend this store for anyone looking for a pet

I used to come here for everything, especially aquatic related. It was the closest thing I could find that wasn’t Petsmart/co and I thought they treated the animals better. But it has gone so downhill, it’s really a shame…so many dead fish in the tanks, some that are struggling to breath and live. Ick all throughout the tanks, I went to spend a good amount today and left bc I didn’t want to bring disease back to my tank…guess I have to drive all the way to glen burnie now..

Great store, fantastic customer service. They have great fish and were very helpful. There are a lot of other things in the store to look at, and the reptiles are beautiful.
