Great food! The owner brought true Miami flavor to Virginia. Growing up in south Florida myself I have eaten a ton of Cuban food in my time. This is top tier! Additionally Chris is super personable and makes it a great experience. If I lived here the Cuban burrito would be my lunch daily. Order one and you will not be disappointed!

Let's get it.... you want a proper Cuban sandwich in the 757 look no further than The Lab Bistro. The El Cubano was absolute fire! This shop sports cafe options so start off your day with a Cafecito and you'll be ready to conquer the world. Bakery options on site for your sweet tooth, the Flan is great! Excited to see them expand into a larger location.

So glad I stumbled upon this place. The staff were extremely friendly, food is INCREDIBLE, and service was quick. Highly recommend the Cuban, best and biggest I’ve ever had for a great price. If you’re up for dessert they also have an awesome selection of treats and a cubano coffee to keep you energized through the food coma. Enjoy this place before other people find out about it!

Literally the best Cuban food I have ever had! I’ve tried a lil bit of very i thing and it’s all amazing. And everyone is super friendly!!! The coffee is amazing as well. If you haven’t been here then you are missing out!!

Fantastic and well worth the wait! Everything is made in house and incredibly fresh. The yucca bites and croquetas were absolutely delicious and the Cuban sandwich was incredible. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely delicious! Cuban Sandwich was my favorite, very authentic. We got curry wrap was also unique and delicious. Place looks clean! Will be coming back again!

New favorite spot: Amazing food, great people, & fantastic beverages! I cannot get over how amazing the pastries are, as well as the owner and wife, just two amazing individuals with great personalities. My husband’s grandmother was born and raised in Cuba & my husband was amazed how much this food tasted like hers! Husband had the Cortadito and I had the caramel frappe. We did not skip a beat and finish it all under a minute. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone!

Came upon this place as a recommendation and it did not disappoint. The Cuban was massive and prepared perfectly throughout. Great flavor from the protein, good amount of mustard and the bread was incredible. There is available seating upon request otherwise it's a take out place. Service A++ Food A++ price A. You would be doing yourself a favor to check out this local hot spot for Cubans, best in Hampton roads!!

Thought I'll give this place a try. One if the best ideas I had in a long time. I got the Cuban Chicken Burrito. It was humongous. Packed with rice, chicken and great seasoning. The Pizza Empanada was fried to perfection and packed with favorable pizza filling. There's not much in the seating but the food would be even more enjoyable at home.

Went here Sept 13th off a recommendation I had seen from a local, the desert was amazing (dulce de Leche cake), I also got the (I can't remember the name of it) steak sandwich (sliced steak on a toasted bun, had onions, lettuce and tomato, and to my surprise they also crush chips to put on it for you as well as garlic aioli 🥹) I thought it was going to be a normal sized sandwich and it was as long as my forearm, sandwich was bomb as hell! Definitely recommend!

Excellent Cafe! The cuban sandwich is amazing. It's huge and every bit is fantastic! Also tried a ham, lettuce, tomato wrap from breakfast one day, AMAZE BALLS. AND definitely dont miss the coffee, superb!!!!

Absolutely amazing!, Visiting friends in the area and she told me they opened a Cuban bakery!!. Being Cuban and from Miami I was so beyond thrilled!. A taste of home ❤️. Chris was awesome and it was great talking to him about Cuban food, Miami etc. The ham croquettas are the best! And the Cuban bread fresh out of the oven is amazing!. Such a wonderful experience, people and food. Not often found outside of Miami/Florida so having it near friends for when I visit is the best!. I hope the business thrives and grows and brings my people's food to many in the VA area ❤️❤️.

This little well hidden place is definitely worth searching for as it is not in the typical restaurant packed area you'd normally expect. The food was fresh & hot. The staff was friendly, patient & helpful. Although the waiting area is rather small, it still gets high marks in my book..

My husband & I love this little hidden gem. LISTEN the food is absolutely authentic and delicious, the proportions are extremely generous, and the service is always friendly. You absolutely get your money’s worth from this place as they don’t hold back in portion size & quality of food. It’s so nice to be able to have some authentic Latino food and also to be able to support such a wonderful small business. We are still in the very delicious process of sampling all of the food on their menu- so far everything we have tried has been outstanding! Absolutely recommend this spot!! Also, we hope that you never move from your current spot off of Horse Pasture rd. because it just so happens to be right next to our own shop, which makes lunch time extremely convenient :)

The Cuban Burrito! It’s the plantain and garlic aioli that really do it. 🤩😍 The ham Croqueta Preparada is DELICIOUS—the freaking bread! The pizza empanada—a giant pizza roll of mozzarella cheesy goodness. Cafe con Leche on point as always! Just GO!

I am Cuban and they have the most delicious, Authenic Cuban food - the best cafe con leche, best Cubano sandwich, best cuban bread, best empanadas, croquetas and pastelitos - que rico!!! And the best garlic aioli dip ever!!! Everything is baked and cooked daily, so fresh!!! This is my new favorite place!!! Thanks Kris for bringing a a taste of Hialeah to our area. Gracias, Eli
