Fresh off the high of a negative COVID test, I decided to walk down the block and visit a new place. Right at the top of the hill in Adams Morgan, I saw this cute cafe that I’m pretty sure is new to the neighborhood. I opted for the chicken noodle soup, which I must say is AWESOME. The soup tastes great and is packed with noodles, vegetables, and chicken. They top it with a bit of olive oil, and it really makes for a quality dish. I also ordered the apple strudel tea, which was equally great! Its lightly sweet and rather tasty. All in all, this was a great experience. The wifi is fast and the service experience was great. I look forward to visiting this place again

Very nice people and amazing breakfast. The chai latte was pretty awesome but the salmon Benedict had so much flavor and the croissant was perfect.

Oh my wow oh wow. Foremost, I love bakeries. Love as in not one Saturday or Sunday goes by without me eating at one. And this might be the best one in all of DC (seriously). Their cottage cheesecakes (specifically the one with smoked salmon and mushrooms) is one of the most unique, delicious breakfast items I have ever eaten (EVER). It was so good the first time I ate here, I literally came back the next day for the same cheesecake (plus to try some pumpkin topped pancakes - also delicious). Pastries are great here too. Drinks are very unique (can you say cappu-orange?). The people who work here (I think they are a family) are super warm and friendly. And the light filled and artistic space = happiness to start your day. Go here. Eat the cottage cheesecake. Then come back. Again and again and again.

Five stars all around! The food and drinks are both beautiful and delicious. I got the nutty ref and it is my new favorite late in DC. The staff is also warm, friendly, and helpful and has great recommendations. And, of course, the cafe itself is stunningly decorated. Brunch was an absolute pleasure and I can’t wait to come back! 💛💙

Amazing pastries, coffee and breakfast dishes with the nicest staff. The cottage cheesecakes were so unique and delicious. We also tried the honey pumpkin latte iced and hot, which were both great.

Insta: dmv_reels I always walk by this cafe and never tried here and I don't know why I haven't tried honestly because it's the best coffee shop around my place. I love it so much I will be back for sure. I also like that they don't put on AC 24 7 like other places. Temperature inside is perfect to the T. I will have to try their regular latte because pink dreams latte was too sweet for my taste. Id need to try other stuff to give 5 stars. But its one of their signature menu. Danish pastry was soooo good!! Also their decoration is super cute. Service was good. No complaints.

The pastries here are absolutely amazing. I had a berry French toast and an almond croissant and they did not disappoint!! A little difficult to find if you're walking by but once spotted you'll have such a great meal!

The breakfast we had was delicious! The cottage cheese pancakes were so yummy (I wish the portion was bigger though, I was still hungry after having it). Potato pancakes were very good as well. They’re playing really calming music in the restaurant and had a cute Christmas tree up. Definitely a unique and tasty experience!

This Cafe and Pastry shop was absolutely amazing. The quality of food is at the highest level. Everything is house made. The salmon tasted so fresh and soft in my mouth. I also ordered the french toast with cream mousse and cherry confiture, which was well presented on the plate and tasted like the best French toast I've had in years! I highly recommend D Light Cafe for their breakfast, pastries, cappuccinos, and Lattes.

I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. I had the opportunity to try two different cakes and loved them both. The quality of the ingredients used in the cakes was evident, and they were both beautifully presented. In addition to the wonderful cakes, the interior design of the shop was clean and inviting with plenty of charming details. I appreciated the attention to detail that went into creating a comfortable and visually appealing environment for customers. To complement my cakes, I ordered a cup of coffee and was delighted with the quality. However, the real standout was the caporange, a unique combination of orange juice and espresso. The drink was refreshing and invigorating, and I would highly recommend trying. Definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite places to indulge in sweet treats.

Excellent berries and cream croissant and very interesting coffee flavors! Had the pink dreams latte and quite enjoyed it! Will definitely be back to try more of the pastries. Saw people having the honey chocolate cake and it looked divine!

Their pink latte (I think it was a berry syrup) actually has been one of my favorite lattes that I've had in a long time. Their pastries were also really good! I especially enjoyed the berry cream danish. Very flaky and refreshing. Can't wait to come again!

I try to get takeout from this place every month or so. It's worth walking 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back every time. Everything from the syrnyky to the kasha, to the croissants are so fresh and delicious. My personal favorite are the deruny potato pancakes. This place makes good food made by good people. Make your way here whenever you can. Слава Україні!

A cozy local cafe with a soft charm and so many delicious plates and drinks! Located conveniently near the heart of Adams Morgan, aesthetic cafe has a plethora of sweet and savory dishes, ranging from small pastries to full meals, and so many cafe style coffees and teas to choose from as well. There’s a lot of local art on the walls and the dishes really aren’t afraid to push the boundaries of what’s usually seen in other cafes in the area. I’ll be coming here again soon!

I've been walking past this place for ages and finally made it in. WOW! First of all, the staff are super kind and helpful. From their suggestion, I ended up having a Ukrainian pancake with salmon and mushroom. Not only was it gorgeous, but it was delicious! I also had their strawberry latte, so surprising and comforting. I'm definitely going back for their fresh pastries too!

What a cute little place in the city. Though it doesn't look as spacious as it looks, I really fancy the ambiance and decor. Highly recommend their stuffed crepes --so good! Drinks selections I feel tend to be limited but the food and pastries are top tier. Will come back again!

This place was even better in person! We had the cottage cheese pancakes, potato pancakes, and shawarma; the shawarma was my personal favorite, SO much pickled veggies and the flavor profile was amazing. We also had a lavender Chai latte and a bloody mary, both were absolutely perfect! Can't wait to come back!

This place is so good and not expensive. You can tell they use really fine high quality ingredients. Dishes are very creative and seasoned tastefully with unique spices. I’d call it Ukrainian fusion. I want to come here everyday:)

This is so very nice. Beautifully appointed, fresh flowers on the table, ginger honey tea that tastes of fresh ginger, crepes with plum jam or mushrooms that were both amazing. Friendly service too.

We had a delicious early Sunday meal at this wonderful Ukrainian cafe and bakery. The avocado toast with salmon and the chicken and waffles along with coffees were perfect. The flavors of the food presented in this lovely cafe setting were ideal for a casual Sunday morning outing.
