This was something my husband and I have always wanted to do and for my birthday this year I chose to just go ahead and book us an adventure with this company to white water raft. It was everything we imagined and then some. From the guides, to the customer service at the office was outstanding. They have wet suits and jackets to rent which was great because we wanted to enjoy it and not have to freeze while on the river for 4.5 hours. Our guide Andy was fun, personable and all around very well educated about the rapids we were going thru and what to expect. It was the best time I have ever had on a river before. Highly recommend it. Water was cold but doable and just all around a great fun time!

Buddah is the man! Had such an awesome experience on the river! The rapids were exhilarating. The provided lunch was fantastic. All the staff members were kind and a pleasure to talk to! The campsites are very nice and the restroom facilities are better than you could ask for! Would recommend 10 out of 10 times.

Best experience on the New River! Been rafting with several companies and this was my favorite, hands down. Thanks Chad. Love the experienced guides at this company and their flexibility with adding extra "maneuvers" while on the water. Going off-script is what really enhances the river experience. I highly recommend this company.....and Chad as a guide. :)

Definitely the best experience we had in the area! Our family took the kid friendly new river full day trip with guide Scott, he was absolutely professional, passionate and kind. Super familiar with this area, he grew up locally and had phenomenal padding skills, and put our safety first while ensure our enjoyment as well. Shared tons of history and interesting stories with us. Will come back and request Scott again in the future! 5 five.

We loved our rafting trip with "Bean!" He was awesome and the stories on the bus were great. Being the 4th of July week they had full rafts, so we had the opportunity to try duckies, which we enjoyed even more, although Surprise Rapid was quite scary. Lunch was delicious, especially the pasta salad, and the hot showers at the end were appreciated. This trip was a great family experience and we can't wait to come back when the kids are a little older to do the Lower New River. Don't forget the sunscreen on the tops of your legs!

Had an epic weekend with these guys doing the upper and lower Gauley. Our guide BK was amazing, everyone there is so nice! We camped there and hung out with the guides a bit in the evening. Such a cool place with a lot to explore around the area and some great places to eat. We'll be back next year!

This was truly the best company to tour the New River. The small mom and pop feel made for such a great experience. The head guide, Scott, was awesome. He made sure everyone was taken care of (even me after my motion sickness took over on the bus ride to the river)! Brian was our raft guide and he was amazing- knowledgeable, funny, easy going, and made us feel safe and have a FANTASTIC time. We stopped for lunch- sandwiches, homemade pasta salad, taco salad, and desert. The food was amazing! The guides made sure everyone was having fun and felt safe. We got to surf a wave, jump off a cliff, and even ride through a rapid in the water. The guides were also there to help with any questions about the area. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely be using when we return!

Bryan, Bean, and everyone involved were phenomenal! The service is family-owned and is family-friendly. Definitely go with the full day adventure. The guides were very attentive and encouraging for novice rafters and children. The lunch provided was delicious, especially the pasta salad. We will definitely return in the future.

I took the full day lower new river tour yesterday and had the BEST adventure I could have asked for. This was a 2023 bucket list item for me and it was better than I imagined. Reed, Chad, and Scott made the entire experience so much better with their knowledge and personalities. I’ve already told all of my friends about my experience and they can’t wait to try it. I will be back!

On a Wednesday in early September we were the only boat on 14 miles of the New River. Jason was a fantastic story teller and guide and along with Scott they know every rapid in the river. Skip was the van driver (and owner of the raft company) with great stories and history of the area. Highly recommend New & Gauley River Adventures.

Me, my husband, and three friends went on the new gauley day trip and we can't say enough positive things about this place, the staff and the trip. Our guide was Jason and he was the BEST! He was interactive, extremely knowledgeable, safe and fun! The safety briefing before the trip was very thorough. Jason was awesome at instructing us and helping us become a team before we hit the rapids. The lunch they provided on the bank far exceeded our expectations. They had options for people who can't eat meat like bean dip, Pb&J sandwiches and chips. For those with no dietary restrictions there was ham,turkey, cheese, and lettuce to make sandwiches, pasta salad and a chocolate pudding dessert. After the trip the staff at the office were so kind and helpful with pictures and buying merchandise. They weren't pushy whatsoever. We enjoyed a nice cold beverage after our trip on location after we changed into dry clothes. The facility had cleans bathrooms which also had changing rooms and showers. We are already planning to come back and try out the 2 day reverse trip! This is a must try trip and if you remember make sure to ask for Jason as your guide!

This was the first stop on my honeymoon adventure and it was the perfect way to kick off our trip! Our guide, Buddha, was clearly highly experienced. He navigated us through the river like it was innate for him. He was also very kind, fun, and funny. The guides in the safety boat were also awesome. We also camped on site. Some sites are slanted but there are a decent number of spaces to chose from. The bathroom facilities were also good and clean. When hiking the grounds we even encountered the owners nephew and his girlfriend who were hired to take care of the grounds. We also had great conversations with them! Overall we had such great interactions, an adventurous day on the river, and a dang great time. I look forward to returning again!

what a great weekend! Our guides Scott, Sketchy Steve, and Brandon were excellent. Very knowledgeable and funny! The food at lunch was perfect for the trip (loved the pasta salad and seven layer dip!) and there was plenty for everyone. All the staff were super helpful and friendshipWe were a cozy group of 20 but they did well accommodating us and others on the trip. Rain is not a problem when you're already getting wet on the river! Loved it loved it loved it! Highly recommend!
