Nice soft-sand beach, good for families. If you're a dog lover, there are lots of cute (unleashed) dogs playing around. For people with disabilities; note that the access to the beach is steep and soft-sanded (hard to climb back) There are restrooms and drinking water available, and parking spaces.

Always a great beach to watch the sunsets. Take a beach chair, a bottle of wine and enjoy. Can be chilly at times especially if breezy.

Beautiful beach in Carmel, CA — definitely the prime spot for visitors to this coastal town. Parking can be difficult as the day goes by — there are parking time limits to pay attention to. The sand is fine (soft) and great for walking and playing. Bring chairs and towels (and toys) as your plans require — there are no amenities at this beach. It is really lovely and worth the visit. There are public volleyball courts and plenty of exercise groups that seems to meet in the area, too. You can walk from the business area, which is downhill — the return is a lovely uphill stroll!

One of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen around the world. The white sand and the ocean make this place fabulous, is easy to reach from the center of Carmel and has also some parking slots. The beach is dog friendly, so you can take your four legged friend here to run on the foreshore.

Came here after a doctor's appointment, and I loved it. It's so beautiful. It's not too packed, but the parking does get full, luckily we found one fast. It was 65°F when I arrived at 4pm. It was relaxing. Will be back soon.

The beach is marvelous. Amazing views, soft sand, plenty of places to sit and enjoy, and especially when you visit on a crisp cloudless day, it is nirvana. The only issue is it gets crowded very quickly. Finding parking is a lottery. Visit during a weekday and you'll truly appreciate Carmel.

Exquisite beach, a treasure of the California Coast. Bring your well behaved dog here. They can go off leash. But don’t bring them if they’re aggressive or can’t mix with other dogs. We want to keep this beach open for dogs and people to enjoy.

I love the fact that this beach has white powdered sand. I also like that It faces west, so you can get to enjoy the beautiful sunsets on clear skies.

The water has a unique light green color that is a feast for the eyes. We went to the beach at sunset time and the colors of the sand, sea, and the sky looked very nice together. You can spend at least 30 min at this beach just watching the waves and the beautiful nature. It is a little difficult to find car parking close to the beach, but that is expected. Don't forget to note down where you parked your car so that you find your way back to your vehicle.

I recommend the sunset. I have been twice, and it is always beautiful to see. The parking is another thing as it is limited. I recommend visiting earlier in the day or closer to sunset. Fingers crossed.

AMAZING SUNSET. This was a must do on our summer trip.

We were fortunate to visit on a warm and clear sunny day. This may be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Dogs are allowed to run freely, a great treat for our labradoodle.

Very nice beach. The walk down to the water is beautiful and fun. The walk back up ... not so much. 😆 It's a great place to go after waking around those amazing Carmel shops and restaurants.

Breathtaking sunset... we just sat in the sand and watched the sun set at the horizon. So refreshing to see people chilling at the beach and enjoying themselves.

Always a great place for a weekend drive from the bay area.
