I went to a Tula for my ASL class to learn more about the deaf culture. I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome there. They seemed to be excluding the hearing people. Also one of my fellow classmates came with me to the class and the instructor Jessalyn and the owner Ann of the studio acted disrespectfully. They overcharged her by $45. When she contacted them with a bank statement about this matter and gave them some feedback via email about her experience, they were very unprofessional. They handled the issue by forwarding her email to all the members of the studio and all of the professors at the our university (who don't even know her). This was completely unnecessary, since she was providing recommendations of how they could improve the class. What is appalling is they also forwarded her email that contained her name and all of her bank account information to over 20 different people who were not even part of the matter. When she confronted them about releasing this personal information, the instructor replied "Please don't contact me again, I have no interest from receiving further emails from you or wasting my energy on this" and we have yet to hear back from the owner who seems to be avoiding the email. I am extremely shocked at how unprofessional and rude they are. They have also not taken any actions to remove the overcharge. I am very thankful that I paid with cash. Bank account information is private and not something to be shared to strangers. They have clearly invaded her privacy. I respect the deaf culture, since some of my family members are deaf and is why I have decided to take ASL courses. But I will NEVER go back to this place. I highly discourage others from going here either, the owner and the instructor are very disrespectful and amplified the problem. TERRIBLE PLACE!

Very welcoming staff, very spacious, excellent instruction. A very loving kind community. Being donation based is great. I always give as much as I can afford and don't feel guilty even if it's just 5$, which is the minimum. This studio has me back into my practice again.

Tula is such a delightful studio, very welcoming. I love that they offer donation based classes which really seems to make this studio accessible for college students and allows me to do more classes in a week than I could if I were paying $15 or $16 per class. They have an enormous beautiful room with a skylight for aerial classes and Ann is an especially great teacher. Anyone who is interested in pilates and body work should also be adding aerial to their repertoire, it's great core work and a super stretch for parts of your body you can't get to otherwise, not to mention helping you grown in your yoga practice by giving you the chance to do difficult poses with the assistance of the aerial sling. And there's just nothing better than Savasana in the sling. Delight. Finally, they have such a huge variety of classes and so many times that there seems to be something for everyone!

I signed up for a 7 week, online course (Mondays at 6:30), called "The Men's Series". As you might have figured out; it was for guys only. I signed up because I wanted to get more into yoga, but had been intimidated by co-ed yoga in the past and the "men's only" aspect was appealing. Our instructor was Dan and he was exceptional. Not only because of his knowledge and calm demeanor, but because he encouraged and accepted wherever we were in our yoga journey. We had some beginners and some that were more advanced; but I think it worked for all of us. I know it worked for me. I especially enjoyed our check-in at the beginning of our session. We would each talk about how we were doing and Dan would usually discuss a topic around the positive thinking and meditation aspects of yoga. Yoga apparently, is not only about the movements; it's about the mind as well. The class exceeded my expectations.

Tula is a fantastic studio! My first class I took was actually at Linwood Park where they offer classes in the warmer months. (So excited for them to start up again!) The teachers are all so kind and offer something for people of all levels. I try to bring my family and friends as often as possible! Thanks, Tula!

I am in love with Tula, especially anything SomaYoga. If you like a slow-paced, very deliberate and aware practice, give it a try.

I started going to Tula almost two years ago! What brought me there was the welcoming studios and a wide variety of classes, but what kept me there is the amazing community. I got laid off from my corporate job in March, so I was able to go a lot more than I had before. Lucky for me I received so much support from the community not just with my yoga practice but also with my life!

I am so glad that I decided to try Yoga. Especially with this new Zoom Class in home format. And, with Tula Soma as my starting point. I started with zero background and in just a few short weeks I am seeing a difference in movement and pain management. Dan has a quiet calm assurance and knowledge that helps lead the class and discussion. I was also happy to share a space with only men while we talked about issues that we all face safely. There could be a bit of improvement with the Zoom class Technology limiting the uses of Audio and Visual and I'm sure that will come. I look forward to continuing my learning and practice with Tula.
