Not the beach you will find in travel brochures...so, so much better. If you want a "mainstream" beach that is crowded, overdeveloped, and loud, then Pensacola and Destin are about an hour in either direction. But if you want a beach that is as natural as possible, then look no further. Yes, real beaches have seaweed. Real beaches also have bugs, dead fish that have washed up, and, unfortunately, ocean plastic. But at least to me, this all just adds to the beauty of the real, actual seaside that you don't see where throngs of people flock to. It's possible to just walk along the shore here, looking out to sea, and imagine you are lost on a desert island in the middle of the Pacific. That to me is a beach trip, not dodging sunbathers near wherever a pier is.

This is hands-down one of my most favorite places Iโ€™ve been to in the gulfโ€ฆMultiple locations to pull off & parking lots and spend the day away from oversize condos & crowded beaches. I love that you literally feel like youโ€™re an island here! The water and the sand are just so spectacular! If you walk further down the beach you really can have a beach to yourself all day :-)

If you come out here, you will pretty much have this beautiful beach to yourself. 45 minutes or so from Destin. Beautiful beach, although not much different from others of the Emerald coast (well, its a wide beach with no homes, but the sand a water color is typical of the Emerald coast). The seclusion is the draw.

Beautiful undeveloped beach, plenty of parking areas, restrooms and long stretches of vacant sand. Be careful pulling off side of road, see plenty of people stuck in sand.

This is a awesome beach area and we where here in mid September after visiting Ft Pickens. There werenโ€™t many people at the beach. If you pay for the fort visit the entry to this beach access is included.

Wow! This location is beach lovers heaven. The cleanliness of the water and beaches absolutely beautiful. We were here on a Saturday in July the weather to the north was stormy but on the island it was cloudy. It made a perfect time to visit without the intense heat. It has many spots to just pull into for a more private setting or more public areas to park in a parking lot with amenities a fee is charged in some spots. Beautiful place to visit. If you wanna be away from it all this is the place. No houses condos and large crowds.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ This is one of the best kept secrets in all of Florida. This is the last "stop" along the way west towards views that are unhindered by commercial excess. Once you reach this point, it's just flat, clean Earth. And on one side you get a view of the bay to the north and an amazing view of the Gulf t...

๐Ÿ˜ While we loved taking our dog to the beach and the actual beach is beautiful and so is the area for dogs...the tiny little area that is open for dogs is lacking. There are miles of beach here and it's not crowded so why they couldn't have a bigger area for dogs is a question that many people have. W...

๐Ÿ‘ Nice beach. There is a port-a-potty in the parking lot for the humans. Clean beach, I saw no dog waste anywhere. I came between 8-9 AM on a Monday morning with my dog, only a handful of people there, I saw four dogs total, three that were swimming with their owners. There is no fresh water access or...

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Beautiful beach that is always kept impeccable. The sand is limestone quartz sand that is fine and white, beautiful. I love Pensacola Beach. Been coming to this beach since the late 70s. Nice selection of bars, hotels and restaurants. If you are looking for a nice beach you can't go wrong here.
