Great place to stay for small to large families. Some friends and I rented a cabin for a music festival the the caverns this past weekend and we really liked it. Full kitchen, a fireplace, and lots of open space. However the reason for the low score is for two very preventable health concerns. Mouse droppings in the utensil drawer and bed bugs on the pillows. I'm glad we bought frozen food because I would not have felt comfortable using anything in there. Would have been better if they had provided some soap and a sponge to clean but none were found. The bed bugs I saw made it difficult to sleep as while I saw 2, I didn't know if there were more that I missed. I would love to come back and stay here as home base for day hiking or to visit the caverns again, but I hope they do better spot checks

Marketing this place as a 3 star motel is absurd. We booked a VIP package and this is the place we stayed at. It looks like it used to be nice several decades ago but has become run down over the years. Our room had food and dirty rags left in it. The shower curtain had a bar of used soap stuck to it and there was dirt on the floor. The bath mat was dirty and hair was on almost all surfaces, and the room smelled like smoke. We travelled in a group but the other rooms weren’t much better. The front desk worker seemed put out that we requested a different room and then ignored us the next morning when we returned our room keys and said good morning. If we return for another concert we’ll be staying elsewhere, you’ve been warned.

This is always a great stop along a road trip. Conveniently located and close to outdoor area attractions. There is a nice pool, choice of motel rooms or cabins, play area for kids and a restaurant on site. I would recommend checking this place out along your journey.

Stayed in rooms, not cabins. Stayed here overnight when traveling to South Tennessee for a wedding. Earning excellence on Trip Advisor, the Smokehouse could use some updates. The rooms are outdated, and dingy and need upgrades. Toilet seat looked painted? The only garbage can in the room was smaller than my McDonald's bag, shower pressure was pretty weak and the head was at my chest. Spring mattresses were well worn out. The provided TV guide was vastly wrong to what the TVs were programmed to, and they were frustratingly slow to access programing which was free TV apps. If there was another way to watch, I couldn't find it. A mix of WiFi signals was appreciated, but all with different SSIDs instead of having a unified network name and password with access points.

I don’t know why some people come to hotels like this and complain about things like the water pressure and it being older and dingy. Probably not a place for you to stay if you’re expecting a bougie hotel. This place is great. It’s very clean. Yes, it’s an older hotel but it’s got such a fun vibe. The pool area is very nice, I wish the smokehouse was open because it’s right here in walking distance and looks so fun! It’s got places to sit and lots of patio space. There’s cornhole and disc golf. It’s in a great spot. I love the old time feel to it. Customer service was great, the girls were incredibly sweet at check in. Not sure what this “locals policy” is but all I had to do was sign a paper saying I understand there’s no lifeguard working for the pool and give my license plate and car info which I like because that tells me they are keeping the parking lots safe. Also.. we booked this room was two queen beds for an awesome deal. If I come here for bonaroo again, I will be back!!

The good - Great location. The cabin was large and quiet. Fire wood provided for fireplace and fire pit. Clean soft beds. The bad - dirty dishes in cuboard, dead bugs in windowsills, jacuzzi tub took forever to fill and ran out of hot water before full. (Low water pressure)

For the cost I paid, it was below expectations. The lobby is quite grand, but not useful. There are no activities or meals provided in the area. The remainder is a dated motel with limited parking access. Window unit AC struggled to survive throughout our stay making all sorts of noises. The air was sticky and damp. My feet got dirty from walking barefoot on the floors, which is concerning. There was this weirdly shaped narrow closet adjacent to the bathroom sink, with a full length mirror in the back wall 🤔. The room was very dimly lit. Only desk lamps. Was hard to see in the luggage. A comfortable bed. I believe the restaurant and adjacent outdoor patio had something to offer, but I didn't make it over as they were not open during the times I was there. Also didn't make it to the pool.

Made the drive down from Nashville to hear Efron White and Lauren Blaine play. They are some of my favorite Nashville songwriters. Decided to spend the night in one of the hotel rooms totally worth the trip and if you’re looking for a realtor my name is Jennifer Davis and I am from Tennessee.

Stayed in a cabin. It was really nice. The pool was a nice suprise. The restaurant had nice food, cool atmosphere, and live music. Seemed like a popular locals spot too. The cabin felt homey and there was plenty of firewood. Also a huge spot for kids to play with big wheels. Also a disc gold basket. The lobby was very nice too.

I booked a double queen room thru Expedia for the posted price of $56.00 per nite; this "establishment" charged $69.99 and argued with me the price had not been different on Expedia before finally saying, of course, I would have to take it up with Expedia. The woman on the desk was just flat out rude - obviously could not have cared less about overcharging me. We checked out one day early and she said she couldn't give me a receipt due to early check out. And BTW, this place is a DUMP. If I could give it zero stars I would. We had to buy cleanser and Lysol spray as all the hard surfaces were nasty; the windows were so filthy you could not see out; the mildew smell in the whole room knocked you down; bed mattresses were ancient and lumpy with broken springs; don't take your shoes off or your feet will be filthy as the floor hasn't been mopped in a decade or more; and the ancient window air conditioner was barely operative - had to keep turning it down to get any cool air. I don't think I have ever had a more unpleasant stay or been treated so rudely by staff. Do yourselves a favor and pass this one up, no matter how low the posted price.
