Had an absolute lovely meal at hey sunshine kitchen today! Highly recommend the BBQ tofu bowl and strawberry lemonade, both were delicious. Service was amazing too!! Will definitely be going back to try some more things on the menu.

Absolutely lovely place. Best vegan potato salad I have ever eaten in US. Nice creamy chowder and top 10 vegan chicken burger we ever tried. The beef tacos tastes so good. It's so tasty when it's made with fresh made tortilla, that is a base for the success! Love the protein. Usually it's pretty hard to make a good protein for plant-based tacos, this one is excellent consistency and flavor also we enjoyed refreshing homemade wild blueberry lemonade. Very lovely owner too. 😊

I came here with my mom and we could not have had a better experience! First of all, we were blown away by the atmosphere and thoughtful decor! The mural in the bathroom is amazing. The detail on the floor? To die for. Heather and Jenny obviously put a lot of detail in to the space. I'm so sick of going to fast casual places that feel sterile so this was a refreshing experience. I ordered the Sunshine bowl and my mom ordered the BBQ tofu bowl. And then because we could not resist we also got the chicken sandwich to split! It just looked too delicious on the menu board- and it was! The food was so fresh. Once again, the attention to detail was astonishing. We loved the way the sweet potatoes were diced and the plating. Definitely get the rice! Not sure what they do to it to make it so craveable, but it is next level delicious! And finally, the staff was so friendly!!! Everybody introduced themselves. I use a walker and the employee Robert even folded it and made sure we had plenty of room. By the end, my mom and I were joking and laughing with everyone. I just truly love that this is a sister-owned restaurant with all non-gmo ingredients. I can't wait to go back and get my pollinators. Apparently they offer them free with an entree at certain points during the week? Talk about making a difference. Now I just need them to open more locations so I can have some wherever I go. I'm officially hooked!

We are so lucky to have this gem in Culver City. We had lunch yesterday during their soft opening July launch. Be patient as they work up to full capacity, but even on day 1 their food blew us away. The Mediterranean Chickpea sandwich was amazing. My wife had their jackfruit carnitas taco which she loved. The service was perfect and the place is full of lively smiles and all-around positivity. Even the butterflies hung out with us at lunch.

The amount of care and skill and love for good food that was clearly poured into every ounce of this restaurant is apparent in every element of the “carnitas” bowl I ordered. Every ingredient perfectly cooked and seasoned- so that each bite is good even if you don’t mix up the bowl. Really fresh produce… amazing sauces. And a huge, satisfying portion at a reasonable price point? tAKE MY MoNEY!! To top it all off the restaurant is so clean it sparkles, and you will be supporting two talented chef-sisters who clearly are doing what they were put on this earth to do- make healthy and delicious vegan eats that you could never ever replicate at home- and why would you want to? Eating delicious vegan meals takes extra work and creativity- thank god Hey Sunshine Kitchen has arrived to make it all simple!

The day has finally come! I have been eagerly awaiting opening day since I saw that a new vegan restaurant was coming to my neighborhood! I love to support the Vegonomy, even better if it's a women-owned vegan business! Our dinner was delicious, the backyard BBQ tofu bowl and the crispy chicken sandwich were both super fresh and packed with flavor. The staff is super friendly and warm, and the owners/chefs are 2 sisters, how cool! There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (with umbrellas). It's located in the Culver Center shopping center, parking can sometimes be tricky during peak gym times but there's also the Best Buy lot in the back that offers plenty of parking. This spot is definitely being added to my regular rotation of vegan restaurants, I can't wait to come back!

Food was absolutely amazing! As a non vegan I was shocked how amazing the food tasted. I would even venture to say it tastes better than the “real thing”… the chicken sandwich burger was phenomenal. The fish taco was better than other fish tacos I’ve tried. Avocado crunch bowl was clean, fresh, and packed with flavor. The strawberry lemonade was fresh and tasted as such. My kids have asked to go back for more. They loved the chickpea nuggets and cookies. Service was impeccable. Greeted by friendly staff members. I strongly recommend this spot to everyone.

Wow, where do I start. Every square inch of Hey, Sunshine Kitchen sparkles with good juju. The bright signage outside previewed the ear-to-ear grin that I was met with by the gentle and welcoming staff behind the counter. I must say I had a tough choice with selecting my lunch items, but upon recommendation by a lovely human named Heather (who it turns out is one of the co-founders of HSK) I settled on the Spicy Carnitas Tacos and the Mediterranean Chickpea bowl. Mind = blown, heart = wide open. Having been a lifelong vegetarian, I've sampled hundreds of plant-based restaurants across many countries, and can say with full conviction that Hey, Sunshine outshines them all! Not only did I find the flavors so refreshing, they had a very particular profile I've never sampled before. Not only that, the preps were filled with freshness and were plated beautifully. I could tell that each part of the menu and kitchen operations was tended to with care, love, and with a singular focus on total gustatory delight. And, to top it all off, the decorations in the bathroom were a total feast for the eyes (pun fully intended). Do yourself a favor (and flavor!) and welcome in the summer with a trip to this place. It's sublime. It helps that it's SO central and easy to get to (with plenty of parking pretty readily available). Writing this makes me want to rush back there, actually. As it happens, I'm about 15 minutes away, so I might do just that :)

Amazing! One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. My crispy chickpea sandwich was SO GOOD! And my sister’s hot chicken sandwich was the best she ever had! Both SO CRISPY & DELICIOUS! Everything we had was so good and you can tell each thing is made with a lot of thought and beautifully-put together. And the owner is so sweet and you can tell she really cares. Highly recommend!

This place is so great. I am not vegan, and am always hesitant to try vegan restaurants because they can be really heavy and not super-tasty, but I'm soooo glad I gave Hey, Sunshine a try. It was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. There were so many amazing looking things -- I had a lot of trouble deciding what to order. I got the Mediterranean Chickpea sandwich and fully expected it wouldn't taste as good as it looked in the picture. But it was BETTER. In fact, it was phenomenal. The chickpea patty has a tempura-like coating -- so light and crispy -- and the sandwich had so much flavor. My friend got the Backyard BBQ tofu bowl and it was crazy good too! Their pickled onions are something else. The place is really cute, the owners are delightful, and the food is satisfying and delicious. Can't wait to go back and try something else!

I recently dined at Hey Sunshine Kitchen in Culver City and it was a delightful experience. The variety of bowls, tacos, sandwiches, and burgers they offer is impressive. As a non-vegan, I was thrilled to find the numerous plant-based options incredibly delicious. A few minutes into the meal, I forgot it was a vegan place and just put HSK into the category of crave-able. The refresher drinks perfectly complemented the meal, and their cookies were super good. The ambiance was inviting, and the staff was super friendly. Whether you're a vegan or not, Hey Sunshine Kitchen is a must-visit for its diverse menu, scrumptious offerings, and sunshine atmosphere!

I am gluten and dairy free and OMG I could not have been happier with my meal! I ordered the Avocado Crunch bowl and I ate the whole dang thing! It was a great sized serving too! I'm not vegan but I loved it! The owners Heather and Jenny are so incredibly sweet. Everyone working there had a smile on their face. The whole establishment is so welcoming and happy and very clean. I highly recommend!! Hey Sunshine Kitchen, I'll be back very soon!!!!

Tried the tacos, a hibiscus drink, and cookies to finish. WOW - everything was delicious! It was a full meal at a very reasonable price with a bit left over to take on the road. A steal in Culver City. Tacos were pretty fancy and filling. The hibiscus drink was not too sweet and really refreshing. The rainbow chocolate chip cookies looked great and tasted amazing with a little soft chew to it - and made in house that morning! I’m coming back soon with my family!

Happy to have a great new health-conscious vegan restaurant in Culver City. I had the Hot Chicken sandwich and Mac Salad and was very pleased with both. The sandwich was hot, crispy, and flavorful and the salad was just right with texture and flavor. I also had a blueberry lemonade, which was refreshingly not over-sweetened. I’d happily get them again and I’m excited to try more of their menu. The place has a bright, casual, modern vibe and the staff are friendly. It’s owned by two sisters. Prices are better than comparable spots too.

This place is amazing!! I got the Mediterranean Chickpea bowl, which was so delicious and also felt healthy and nourishing! I got it half and half on sunshine rice (delicious) and greens (nourishing), which was perfect. The lemon herb aoili it comes with is sooo good. These bowls are so much more than a basic grain bowl, they take it to the next level at Hey Sunshine. I also loved my sprinkle rainbow chocolate chip cookie! A perfect cookie that you would never know was vegan. The owners are so sweet and fun. I love this spot and will be eating here every time I'm in Culver! Can't wait to try more of their menu.

What a phenomenal meal I had here. Thoroughly impressed. This is vegan done right. The flavors hit home; I especially enjoyed the fish tacos. They tasted like great actual fish tacos! The rainbow chocolate cookie was a perfect end to the meal. Service was so quick and friendly. Easy parking in the plaza lot. Wish there were more locations so I can eat this not just when I’m at work! I will definitely be back.

Such delicious and flavorful food! I came here with my family, and we were impressed by the warm hospitality and informative service upon walking in. I got the Fiesta bowl, and it was delicious! It was well-seasoned and a good proportion sized entree. We also tried some of the Mac and cheese, and my mother kept raving about how delicious it was. We will be coming back whenever we're in Culver City!

The food is so flavorful and fresh! I had the Mediterranean chickpea bowl and the wild blueberry lemonade (made from real fruit and not too sweet). Can’t wait to go back. Indoor and outdoor (dog friendly) seating. Easy parking as it’s in a shopping center. Thanks, Heather!
