This place is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is inviting and functional. There are Hightop chair seatings for groups of 2 and 4. Also several couch and chair groups. Love the wine dispensers that allow you to sample the white and red wines of the month. There is also the usual wines they have on the menu. They have delightful food options. My favorite is the warm garlic bread and Fromage blanc! The Fig and prosciutto is lovely. This place is a great go to spot to spend fun and relaxing times with friends. The owner and staff are friendly and efficient. Enjoyed the night so much I came back with a friend last night. We were treated to relaxing live guitarist! It made the night even more enjoyable! Was able to enjoy the new wines of the month! They were very delicious . Can't wait to come back!

Well!!!! We took a trip to little Italy, parts of Rome, even the Galapagos islands all in one! The eatery was modern and contemporary all in the same breathe. What a treat to behold as we visited late with a friend and boy was it a blast to just gaze at the quaint decor. Small plate stylings with a menu to rock your pallet! From themes to just perfectly parced wine bottle's of any liking ...what an organized walk thru wine country darks to lights reds to even reddest this owner has it together when acquiring and theme tastings from local to foreign taste. I tasted two distinct bottle's off her small dispensary on site to to travel all the way to Tuscany! (yea right I wish! ) BUT close enough that if you close your eyes and think vacation, and river walks in France 🇫🇷 this place can take you there! The food was stellar made by the in house cook not a single bite disappointed the soul. Spicy notes added to the crispy chimichurry pizza (a small plate pizza )paired with a perfect leggy tasting but sweet noted wine as suggested and was welcomed. Though pairings are not to worry over here as they have robust to crisp and everything in between. Hosted my future daughter-in-law’s bridal shower at Uncork, Unwind and it was fantastic. Wine shop owner Heidi and her staff were so accommodating and the food and wines expertly selected. The flatbreads and the cheeses, pretzels and other selections were all delicious and everyone got a chance to take leftovers. Heidi helped keep the shower on track time wise and we were allowed to bring our own desserts which was perfect. And the wine? Simply fabulous!! The bride and groom also received a small bottle of champagne. I would definitely recommend this spot for private events and any other occasions-I’ll definitely be back to support this small business whenever I can.

Great place to get together. Very relaxed, delicious food, generous portions, nice way to sample wines. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. We'll be back. Highly recommend.

My daughter and I went there last night so awesome the ambiance, food and wine were outstanding and our server was the best ever. He explained everything to us and was constantly coming back to check on us. You have to check them out.

Food, service and wine were top notch. Ryder Cabernet and the the pretzel charcuterie board is a must. Atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired due to the small size of the establishment.

I'm a member of the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and President of B2B Connections. For this year's Spring Garden Ball, I reached out to Uncork, Unwind for help preparing a basket. They chose some extravagant bottles of wine with a perfectly splendid presentation. Additionally, the crowd at the Ball bid well beyond market value for the collection of wines and glasses, supporting a good cause, including functions at the local Chamber of Commerce. Heidi ensured a seamless experience from beginning to end, and I'm thrilled that Uncork, Unwind is part of our community!

Unique place for wine and snacks. They have wines you can try from a specific place. They have whites and reds and you can read the notes in the menu. We had the charcuterie board and everything was delicious. I’m not a big olive person but they were delish. We finished the night with trying some of the chocolate and they did not disappoint!

We came here for after dinner drinks and really enjoyed our time. The atmosphere was very welcoming and cozy. A great wine list both by glass or bottle and new selected wines each month that you could try. Food and appetizers looked amazing so I’d love to come back to try flatbreads and cheese boards.

We had the most wonderful evening at Uncork, Unwind. We'd had an early dinner and weren't ready to pack it in, so wandered over and enjoyed a full wine bar (with a cool self-serve apparatus), delicious apps (warm Bavarian pretzel with rich cheese sauce), and the marvelous service provided by Heidi and her team. Truly a magical evening. Loved every minute of it!

Chill vibe for catching up with friends. Good selection of wine. Tasty food options. Talked to the owner who's passion for wine is very evident and I'm glad to have a place like this in Des Plaines.

My family hosted my baby shower here. Every detail was perfect! Great wine selection and she picked out a great nonalcoholic sparking rose for me. The food was great, everyone was raving about the pizzas and charc boards. I’ve been once before pre-pregnancy and it’s a great place to taste as much or as little of any wine you like. She features different wine regions all the time. Great place!
