So happy that these animals have found a place to live for the rest of their lives. It is an educational place not only for kids but also for adults. Highly recommend!

Great day outdoors. Got to see and learn about birds, reptiles and small animals. Also trails had information about the plants, land and water that is in the Pine Barron's. Will be going there again. Sadly no dogs allowed.

Great little hidden gem! Excellent for little explorers. The Story Book Trail was a lot of fun! Some areas have some tricky footing but with slow careful steps, we got through it without any falls. Strollers absolutely would not be able to go through the entire trail, however some sections closer to Nature Center have boardwalk. There are animals out in the open air (mainly birds) but each have a story about how they arrived and how long they've been residents. I can't wait to go back to check out the inside the Center and to see the trail in Spring. Check Facebook for events and Groupon for ticket deals!

Woodford is a beautiful refuge with nice trails and lots of educational info. Check out their Facebook page for daily live educational content. They are doing amazing work rehabilitating NJ wildlife. Bravo!! Some say Disney I'd their favorite spot...not me. Woodford is the most magical place of all.

This place is great if you have kids. We went at 3 pm on a Saturday and it was great. Our 1 year old loved looking at all the animals that she had used to be seeing in her books. Inside they had turtles and lizards. Outside there was about 15 different kinds of birds/eagles/hawks.

This place was really neat! They have an outdoor play area, trails, animal exhibits, indoor play area, picnic area and so much more! The guy at the front was super nice! The whole place was super clean. I took my 3,6 and 7 year old and we walked the .75mi trail and they were fine. They enjoyed it so much they asked to buy a season pass!

I contacted them about a year and a half ago hoping I'd get some help with a seriously injured raccoon we had. The poor thing was partially ran over and was crying and screaming from pain. I contacted Woodford Cedar Run with lots of hope and asked them for help. Whoever it was that I talked to was snotty. They said that they were closing soon, thirty minutes until, so I would have to leave the raccoon alone in the lobby all night and they would get to it in the morning. This raccoon needed help ASAP, it was in agonizing pain, but no matter how much I pleaded the lady over the phone coped an attitude towards me instead of being understanding or compassionate. Basically told me to let the poor thing die all alone in an unfamiliar environment. If a 'Wildlife Rescue' can't be compassionate towards animals in need of rescuing, it definitely isn't what it says it is. In the end a lady who was a wildlife rescuer an hour away was kind enough to let us swing by, another rescue in PA was also willing to stay open so we could bring the raccoon over to them, but by the time we rushed to the ladies house (since she was laughably "closer" being an hour away) the poor little raccoon had succumbed to it's injuries, whimpering and crying until it finally went silent right before we got to the rescuers house. This joke of a rescue was only 15 minutes away from us. I would have not needed this to turn into a stressful two hours of calling around and then a whole hour of transporting. A life could have been saved or at least assisted into a more peaceful passing. How this was handled on their part was disgustingly negligent.

On Saturday morning we had ourselves an adventure at Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge when we attended their annual Trails, Tails, and Ales event! Growing up in Medford I have fond memories of this place. As a kid in the 80s and 90s I was a regular visitor, taking school field trips, working as a volunteer in scouting, and taking injured wild animals to their hospital with my parents whenever we found one that needed help. Today I still live in Medford and my recent trip there made me realize that I take this wonderful place, that’s practically in my backyard, for granted. If you want to immerse yourself in nature, purchase a daily pass and walk over 3 miles of hiking trails where you can spot all sorts of creatures in the wild. You will also see animals in the enclosures that are being rehabilitated along with some that are not able to be released like their resident bald eagle. There is a nature center that has several exhibits, a reptile room, and a gift shop. They offer many programs for schools, scouts, and other groups including private events and birthday parties. The best part about Cedar Run is their Wildlife Hospital! For decades people have been bringing injured or abandoned wildlife that is native to New Jersey. This all started in 1951 when Jim and Betty Woodford purchased the land and in 1957 founded Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge. Every year they treat over 6,300 wild animals! They don’t receive any government funding so donations are greatly appreciated. Visit their website for more information including programs and events. We were there over the weekend for the Trails, Tails, and Ales 5k Fun Run and Beer Garden. The highlight of my adventure was running my first race ever and the highlight of my wife’s adventure was being the first one in the beer garden! Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge is great for nature lovers of all ages and is truly a local treasure of the pines! 🦅🐢🏥🌲 #cedarrun #njwildlife #medfordnj #adventuresinsouthjersey

My family & I have gone here a handful of times. We absolutely love it every single time. Our 4 year old very hyper always active son who can't usually sit still for even a few minutes is so amazed by the wildlife he has to practically be pried away from each enclosure. I love that every one of the rescued and rehabilitated animals are there because they wouldn't survive being released back into the wild. Each enclosure has a sign with the name and story of how each bird/wildlife was rescued after being injured and other small tid bits about them. The Raven named Poe played peek-a-boo with our son and myself, a few birds posed for pictures, and the view is AMAZING. Admission is less than 10 $ per person. A great, very educational place for people of all ages. I would absolutely recommend going at least once to everyone. The indoor play room area is incredible as well as the gift shop.

Found a bluejay in my yard, called a vet and they sent me here. They told me to bring him right in. When we got there they took him right back. Awesome workers and clean place! Thank you for all you do for the wild animals to help them. I will donate as much as i can. 🙏❤️

This place is fantastic. There are quite a bit of animals and each animal's story is displayed on their cage. The animals are well cared for. The grounds are clean. They could use a few trash cans here and there, but I understand why they are hard to find. But the humans tend to litter. We picked up a few masks, baggies and juice boxes. No fault of the staffs. This is an inexpensive, educational fun for kids of all ages. It's a calming, restorative place to visit!

👍👍 Beautiful park with something for every one! It has a large playground for kids, basketball courts, volleyball courts, a skate park, walking paths and a large dog park. There are also gazebos for picnics and larger parties. I went on a cold chilly day, but when the weather turns warmer, I know it...

👍 Great play park for kids of all ages. Located in the heart of Medford Township. Also has an area for children with special needs. Absolutely beautifully designed. The best is the hidden security cameras all over protecting God's greatest gifts. But even with that you must be on top of your kid watch...

👍👍 We went here after dropping our son off for his first day of school and had a flight (to cool off and calm our nerves) and we were graciously welcomed by Pola (hope I spelled it right). We had a great chat with her and the beer was awesome! What a lovely little place, can't wait to go back!

👍👍 Our pug, Ellie, loves freedom park. They have obstacle courses for training. They have a huge space for dogs to play around and run. Freedom park does a fantastic job keeping this park clean. I would love to volunteer there one day.
