We are so happy to have found Strikezone. We have enrolled our children in many martial arts schools and within weeks, we pull them out simply because the environment was not conducive or positively impactful to our children. Our oldest son was recommended by his friend to look into Strikezone. Immediately we could feel the difference when we walked into the facility. Derrick is not only a trainer/ coach, he genuinely cares about the children and guides and mentors them while also having fun. I know my son is learning how to improve his skills and maintain the level of discipline and commitment to pursue what he enjoys, in a safe environment. I recently joined this Martial Arts gym in the pursuit of conditioning my body, learning martial arts and getting back in shape in my 50's. Kru Derek is an experienced instructor specializing in Muay Thai and mixed Martial Arts. I wanted to try something different other than the same routine at my regular gym. This was the best decision I have ever made and worth the investment in getting back into shape. I have dropped over 30 pounds, the fat literally melted away and I am getting the full body workout that I have been looking for. I highly recommend this gym if you are looking to get back into shape in a totally different way.

Can't say enough about how great an experience we had throwing a Kobra Kai themed surprise party/lesson for my mother's birthday. Derek and the squad were so accommodating, professional and really went the extra mile to make us feel part of the team. I was a spectator at several classes at Strikezone and was extremely impressed with what an excellent teacher Derek is, and the supportive and welcoming environment he provides for students. While teaching specific kickboxing techniques, his classes also help students improve their self-esteem and build character. Derek helps students set achievable goals and continually challenge themselves, while he patiently encourages students who may be struggling to nail the moves.

Derek is an amazing coach who really cares about each of his students. You can tell how passionate he is about teaching others this exciting sport. The classes are always a great workout too! I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Strikezone, thank you!!

If you're looking for a positive change in your life, Strikezone is where it's at! After researching gyms in the area, we decided to give Strikezone a try. We are so glad we did! As a mother, I can tell you how hard it is for our youth to find their place in the world. Navigating through the ups and downs of adolescence, and trying to find something that works for him- my 14 year old son has found a home at Strikezone! Strikezone has such a great positive vibe, its a wonderful learning environment and is very clearly helping my son not only learn self defense, but discipline and confidence. Everyone has been so welcoming, and helpful. Derek is extremely professional and patient. He is an excellent teacher, and takes his time to make sure everyone is comfortable while really giving the class what they need as a group as well as individually and coach Nick brings it full circle with his energy and commitment to the students. I highly recommend this gym for adults and teens looking for a positive change!

I have to say this school changed my life for the better. Derek ignited a flame in me that I believed had been extinguished. He pushes you harder and inspires you more then any instructor I have ever had. I thought after the Marine Corps my discipline and drive was a thing of the past, but his motivation has shown me that I still got it. If you haven’t signed up yet, what are you waiting for?

My son has always had an interest in the martial arts so we tried karate and it just wasn’t clicking. We searched around for other options and found strike zone. Derek is very professional, thorough, kind and welcoming. Since joining strike zone in the past few months I have seen such a difference in my sons confidence, attitude, and willingness to learn and perfect his skills that he has learned from Derek and the other instructor. I highly recommend strike zone. My son absolutely loves it! We couldn’t be more thankful for all the motivation and excitement strike zone brings to my son each week. I joined Strikezone May 2023 and it’s one of the best decisions I made for my health and happiness. I have dropped 30lbs since joining as the classes are excitingly tasking. Being a part of Strikezone has been a game changer for me mentally as well. I do not struggle to put my shoes on to go the gym anymore because I know I am learning new things and learning around a group of people who really support and push each other in the most positive way. I feel like I am in school all over again but I actually enjoy the classes this time. For reference I have done no prior sports in my early years and I am still able to learn at a good pace Would highly, highly recommend.

I started training with Strikezone around the summer of July 2023 to learn MMA. This has been the best decision and investment I have ever made for my health and happiness. Derek, and his team has been very supportive since day one. I remember my first day, Derek have provided me the fundamentals and guided me through with every step. Even with the other coaches, they will never leave by yourself and will work with you regardless if you’re new or not. I recently took a trial class at Strikezone. Not only was it a great workout, but I was really impressed with the school and all the people I met in class. As a newbie, I was introduced to some fundamental kicking techniques and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. We decided to put our children in Muay Thai because they had been bullied at school and also because we wanted them to improve their discipline and have some type of physical activity. But the changes we saw in our children were incredible. More respectful, they help more around the house, more confidence and better physical condition. One of the things I like most about this place is that no matter what level your children are they are treated with respect, helped and couch by other children who had been there for more years. The level of camaraderie between everyone is excellent and they do learn to actually defend themselves. I want to thank couch Kru Derek and his team For everything his done for my kids y I hope we can continue this journey.
