So beautiful and peaceful!! My favorite “hidden gem” in Elizabeth City that I love to go to anytime! The best ever to be able to just “get away” and relax your mind from the chaotic normalcy of day to day life! 🙌🏼

The Pasquotank is a nice river

Very nice river to Canoe or Kyack! Lots of fall scenery now. Many Critters back there too. Ducks, deer, Black Bears, Beavers, King Fishers, Herrings, Plaited Woodpecker(Woody the Woodpecker), & of course plenty of many different kinds of snakes. Don't worry though, I've never seen any during the Fall, just in the Spring & Summer. They mostly lay around in the Summer & non poison water snakes hang in bushes. I don't go in the Spring into the swamp, because of Cotton Mouth Moccasins are mating & they can get in your boat. Great place!
