We
had
the
opportunity
to
spend
some
time
at
the
Oaks
Victorian
Inn
in
Christiansburg,
VA
a
few
weeks
ago.
From
the
initial
greeting
to
the
“goodbye”
on
the
last
day,
we
were
treated
to
a
gracious
and
delightful
couple
who
obviously
love
their
work
and
value
their
visitors.
We
spent
two
days
with
them
on
our
way
to
Maryland
and,
based
on
our
experience,
decided
to
visit
one
more
day
on
our
return
trip.
Shannon
and
Justin
treated
us
to
a
first
class
breakfast,
spent
time
with
us
on
the
large
porch
or
the
patio
and
shared
stories
pertaining
to
the
history
of
the
beautiful
Victorian
dwelling.
They
showed
us
through
the
several
(unoccupied)
rooms
and
described
the
folks
in
the
many
photos
located
throughout
the
house.
Shannon
keeps
the
house
in
spotless
condition
and
Jason
tends
to
the
grounds
and
the
fish
pond.
No
matter
what
direction
you
look,
the
surroundings
are
a
joy
to
see
and
provide
a
relaxing
atmosphere
at
the
end
of
a
long
drive.
The
couple
has
traveled
to
locate
furnishings
that
complement
the
Victorian
House;
adding
a
period
feeling
to
the
visit.
This
is
a
couple
who
treat
visitors
more
as
friends
than
customers.
They
leave
no
stone
unturned
to
make
you
feel
comfortable
and
welcome.
Our
plans
are
to
stop
and
visit
our
new
friends
each
time
we
travel
from
Knoxville
to
Maryland.
