Wow, can not say enough. This hide away is AMAZING. Staff and owners are all amazing. They sit and talk. This is a go-to spot. Very clean and quiet. We can not say enough except for, you will definitely be amazed for your stay here. You probably be a returning guest like us!!!!!!!!

I had the pleasure of visiting this amazing location yesterday to perform a wedding, as Donna's Mobile Notary Services. As I was leaving I met the management staff and they were friendly and interested in my business. If you've not visited them do so. Their cabins are fresh and clean. The grounds had been chalk decorated for Halloween and were quite imaginative. The game area was in use when I arrived. There is an open and welcoming activities building for their guests. Sitting right on Lake Panasoffkee, it created the perfect backdrop for their guests.

Idilic cabin style retreat on the lake. For those looking for a quiet, relaxing time, with beautiful views and top quality accommodation. The staff and owners were super friendly, the place super clean. They have taken a lot of care over little details that make the difference, such as: complimentary bottle water in the fridge, shampoo & conditioner in the bathroom, making parking spaces to the side of the cabins so the view isn’t obstructed. We loved the butterfly garden under the huge oak tree, the raised garden beds, with a sign inviting us to help ourselves to cuttings. And we loved the complimentary “happy-hour” beer fridge in the games barn! We will definitely be back again.

What an amazing way to getaway w/ no stress, beautiful views and such a lovely staff and environment. The room has everything you need, we did a swamp airboat tour, played pool & corn hole, the food truck had tasty options that we loved & so much more. It’s only an hour from Tampa and I’ll be coming back soon but probably bringing my entire family as it has so much room and activities. 5 stars ⭐️

This place is too amazing not to share!! We were so impressed with the cabins, the knowledge and hospitality of the owners , and the warm welcoming by all other campers! Cozy up by the fire place, search for gators, swim , hike, boat rides, pool tables and a food truck!! No need to go anywhere else! We can't wait to book our next stay!!

Such a lovely setting. We stayed in one of the cabins. The cabin was spotless, tiled floors, kitchen with microwave, refrig and coffee maker. TV in sitting area and in bedroom area. Beautiful lake and firepit. We will definitely be back. Staff was extremely helpful.

I prefer campsites with privacy between sites but the site was perfectly level and clean. The amenities are great- the pool table and foosball and corn hole with happy hour daily is a bonus. The airboats are a bit noisy but not too disruptive. Lovely grounds and clean facilities. Friendly staff.

We had a wonderful experience at Idlewild - the facilities were very clean and staff was extremely attentive. This is definitely a 'pup friendly' lodge, so bring your 4 legged friend! They were smoking brisket all day and serving it out of the food truck, along with the yummy truffle fries. There is no risk staying here - excellent service, great views, and just a very relaxing time.

What a hidden gem!!! I can not say enough good about this amazing place. The owners and every person working there are the kindest, most accommodating people you will ever meet! Shawn and his crew run that place like a well oiled machine! The cabins are super cozy. It is SO quiet and relaxing. The food at the food truck is soooo good. Be sure to take rent a pontoon and stroll the lake! We did not want to leave and we WILL be back!

Without a doubt, the best campsite experience we have had during our 6 month, see America, RV adventure. Wonderful service, beautiful paving stone sites with fire rings, picnic tables and a free stack of firewood. Clean laundry (free) and all the ice you can use. On site boat rentals, air boat tours. We stayed for two weeks and wish we could stay longer.

Idlewild Lodge is a fantastic place to relax and unwind. The owner, Shawn, his wife, and all of the staff do such a great job making you feel at home and so welcome. The grounds are beautiful with the old towering oak trees draped in Spanish moss lending to the afternoon shade. You are going to want to stay awhile to enjoy a sunset cruise around the lake, sit by the fire pit, play a game of corn hole, take a dip in the pool, grab a bite from the food truck or catch a glimpse of a field full of lightening bugs!!!

Wonderful stay at the campground with my wife and three kids. The staff was incredibly nice, the sites are full hookup and generously spacious. Very peaceful and relaxing while being clean with wonderful amenities. Will definitely be back!

My family spent New Years Eve weekend at Idlewild Lodge. We stayed in one of the cabins. The staff did a great job renovating and modernizing the cabins. Very comfortable to live in for a few days. The Lodge is on a beautiful piece of property. All of the staff were very friendly and spent time with their guests. The BBQ was amazing. We really enjoyed our time and will be visiting again in the near future.
