Foggy Bottom Cabins is a great place to stay. It’s close to everything. I come to town to hike and enjoy the area with its beautiful waterfalls. Not only did I enjoy the beautiful waterfalls that were near the cabins, my friends and enjoyed a campfire on the grounds of the cabins. The cabins are very clean and equipped with everything you need. I highly recommend you stay at Foggy Bottom Cabins.

To say this place is amazing is an understatement. The accommodations were very clean and close to everything we wanted to do. The beds were comfortable, and the space was just right for my friend and I. There is a fire pit onsite, which we enjoyed in the evening. Fresh farm eggs were provided, which we enjoyed cooking for breakfast. These features alone would make for a good review. But the icing on the cake was the trail. Keep in mind, this nearly 25 acre property is owned by Khalid and his wife Megan. What they have created here is so special. Megan took the time to greet us shortly after we arrived and was in constant communication with us. Khalid took time chatting with us about the history of the place and how he and his wife have built it up over the past couple of years. We truly felt like we were welcome there as if we were personal guests of theirs. We were encouraged to check out the loop trail that they designed and had built. We thought we might see some trees and hear some birds, but were completely surprised and in awe of the massive rock formations the trail leads you past. There is a staircase that leads you to the top of one of them for some really cool views of the surrounding mountains!! This is not just some little loop trail, folks!! Make a picnic lunch and explore - how cool is it to have your own personal trail!! I definitely recommend this place and look forward to coming back!

Everything about this place was top notch!! The location was ideal, with nothing more than 20 minutes away. Pisgah Forest, Brevard, Asheville (including the airport)...many different options well within range. The cabins were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The kitchen was very useful (we cooked dinner at home a couple nights) and the fire pit outside was amazing for smore's!! I can't say enough about the hosts, Khaled and Megan. They welcomed my family with open arms and made the whole experience one to remember. Great family vacation, we definitely hope to return!!!

Ch8sing Waterfalls’ annual Tried & True weekend was spectacular thanks to our wonderful hosts Megan and Khalid. Most memorable this trip was the hike on Adam Trail led by our adorable (VIT) Vibette in Training A.K. At the summit we took the most amazing pictures and can’t wait to return to see the foliage in the fall! Mac N Cheese and Chicken Eggs 😊

This place is the most perfect home away from home ever. The Khiyars have created a cozy, comfy getaway that is literally minutes from everywhere. FBC, as we call it, has been our annual retreat location for three years now. It is perfect for us. It has everything we need, nestled in the land of waterfalls. FBC is a very safe and inviting space. The cabins are always clean and stocked with all of the essentials of home. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. We received a special VIP tour, of the new trails on our most recent visit to FBC. Truly, there is no place like home; however, if you're not home, you may as well be at Foggy Bottom Cabins, because it is the next best place to be. Go on see for yourself. You can tell them I said so.

I’d give it 10 stars if I could. It’s easy to locate & well lit, even at night. Several waterfalls are within 40 minutes & less. The accommodations were as advertised. I used a keyless entry & stayed in the Brevard. 2 queens (I think) in a room. A fully stocked (pans, utensils, plates, coffee maker, etc) kitchen & bathroom (towels, soap & other goodies I never bothered to even see. A towel warmer maybe??) additional chairs, comfy couch, Wifi. There’s an ample front porch with table & chairs. No stairs to porch or front door. Private parking spot plus runoff parking & a hose to handle messes. There’s a fire pit with (covered) wood (well rain, right?) & chairs. Conversations with the owners were easy & questions were answered promptly & came with additional thought (so above & beyond customer service. Honestly, if you meet them, you can’t help but love them.) So after feeling COMPLETELY safe &comfy. I learned they had a hiking path I could explore. I won’t ruin it. I was there at the end of May (rainy season). The path was well tended & climbs to the heavens. (well I think that’s where I was) There’s also some additional wonders along the way or so I thought that was just icing on the cake.

Foggy Bottom Cabins was the perfect weekend getaway! We really enjoyed the hiking trails and HUGE boulders on the property and the hospitality we received from the owners! The cabins were super clean, convenient to everything and offered great amenities. I’d highly recommend staying here, and will definitely be back!

It was so refreshing to stay here on our road trip, since most other places we stayed at were old, dirty and had musty smells. Our cabin, #33, was super clean, cozy, and felt like it was brand new. It was two spacious rooms, one for beds and bathroom, another for kitchen and living area. By far my favorite place that we stayed on our southern adventures. If you’re going to Sliding Rock and Pisgah Forest area, you won’t be disappointed if you stay here!

We had a great experience. The cabin was clean and well equipped with small, thoughtful touches. The area was very quiet and peaceful. The hosts were flexible and proactive. We would stay again! (written by our 9yo daughter :-)).

This was our second stay at Foggy Bottom Cabins. This time we brought my parents and stayed in two of the cabins. Our group loved this stay. The property is peaceful and relaxing while convenient to both the outdoor activities and the downtown. The cabins are cozy and welcoming. It’s very clean. The layout worked very well for us and there are thoughtful touches and use of space. Our group also enjoyed making s’mores around the campfire. We will definitely stay again when we visit Brevard.

FABULOUS! They live up to their name… wonderful foggy mornings to wake up to and have coffee on the front porch. Clean, comfortable, and all the amenities needed. Hosts Megan & Khaled are very gracious and give great info and recommendations. Quaint & quiet place with easy to access and close to all the sights.

This is our second stay; we’ve booked a third! The cabins are clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed. They’re close to the Blue Ridge, the Forests, and Brevard. This is a wonderful vacation home base or a relaxing place to just sit on the porch.

Stayed a weekend at the Foggy Bottom Cabins for a recent mountain bike race. The cabin was clean and equipped with everything our family needed for an awesome weekend. What an awesome base camp for WNC adventures. Will be back!

We loved Foggy Bottom Cabins and will stay here next time we are in Brevard, NC. The cabin was laid out so well and had a great kitchen as well. I was impressed how they took advantage of the space of the cabin. You could sleep 5-6 here if you had to, but it was perfect for me and my husband. The location was great too because it was so close to Dupont State Forest with great waterfall hikes and also very close to Brevard. Hendersonville is also pretty close.
