Sandy and Lance are great hosts. This is our second visit and will be there for many more! You can see how hard they work and how much they love being hosts of such a sweet wonderful B&B. The room was clean, the main house is wonderful, bright and airy. And breakfast.... Lance can cook up a storm. This is a great place for a get-a-way in this beautiful part of PA and over in Wilmington, DE.

We celebrated our anniversary at this beautiful farm. Lance and Sandy are exceptional hosts. Little did we know we found a fabulous Italian chef. I think it was the best meal we were ever served in their wine cellar. The food was out of this world and the presentation was exceptional. Breakfast was superb, as was the charcuterie board Lance made up for us. We will be back. Love you guys. Summer 2023

What a pleasant surprise to find the inn at Whitewing farm. Besides a perfect location for our planned events it was also perfect for some much needed r&r. As we have discovered it’s the people you meet who make the experience memorable. Sandy and Lance are genuine, hardworking and gracious hosts. The farm and inn reflect loving care and attention to details. The “extra mile” of service…special meals and heartfelt conversation were greatly appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful few days. Whitewing farms has become a favorite to which we will return ◦

We visited the Inn with a couple of friends for a birthday. Most of the rooms are updated and have a modern feel. Breakfast was not available for our dates which was disappointing but they served coffee, juice, and pastries which were delicious! The grounds at the Inn are beautiful, and it’s conveniently located near wineries, Kennett Sq, and the famous Longwood Gardens.

Amazing hospitality. The hosts, Lance and Sandy, are personable and will go out of their way to insure that you are enjoying your stay. We were there 4 nights during Labor Day week. Each morning started with a 3 course upscale breakfast featuring cake, fresh fruit and the main course. Light refreshments are available throughout the day. Comfortable well maintained room, beautiful grounds and a relaxing pool make this B&B Better and Better.

One of the best places we have ever stayed in!!!!! The room was just beautiful. So comfortable! Everything you would hope for. The food also was phenomenal! From the breakfast table to the flatbread we had for dinner one night. The inn's location was perfect. Easy access to anywhere you needed to go. And the innkeepers were so friendly and accommodating. This inn should be a must for anyone seeking a tranquil vacation. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

We stayed in The Hackney Suite. It is a very clean, large, warm & inviting room with gas fireplace, super comfortable sheets / King bed, and the a fabulous shower. The bountiful breakfast was so pretty and delicious, prepared by the Inn Keepers who are friendly and welcoming, as well as informative. Longwood Gardens is an easy 1 1/2 mile drive away and the Christmas display spectacular.

Our stay at The Inn at Whitewing Farm was absolutely fantastic. The property is beautiful and well-kept, and the rooms are luxurious. The owners are so friendly and attentive, and they know lots of other business owners in the area so even managed to get us a last minute dinner reservation. Their recommendations were wonderful. Breakfast was also delicious! I don’t think I could’ve been more relaxed after my stay.

The Inn at Whitewing Farm is a hidden gem! My best friend and I took our moms for a girls weekend at Longwood Gardens and Chaddsford Winery and were blown away by the beauty of the property and the hospitality of Lance and Sandy. The rooms are cozy and beautifully decorated, there are many beautiful spots around the farm to sit and relax and the breakfast was fabulous! We’re already planning a trip back in the Spring. Highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at this beautiful property during a visit to Longwood Gardens. The lawns are sprawling with many interesting, historic buildings. All is maintained nicely. Our room was the Hackney Room and was recently remodeled. There was a coffee maker in the room, nicely appointed new bathroom and a gas fireplace that was perfect for the cool weather. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Sandy and Lance were so welcoming and knocked the breakfast out of the park. It was all very fresh and the presentation was perfect. Highly recommend and hope to return for another trip to Longwood during a different season. Thank you Lance and Sandy!

Location is perfect for those visiting Longwood Gardens and Winterthur. The overall setting of the farm is beautiful, peaceful. Our room was extremely nice. Had bookshelves loaded with books so you could just stay inside and read for a month if you wanted to do so. Clean, very safe environment. Friendly staff. The owners cook a nice breakfast and we saw them do their best to accommodate a group with several different food requirements (vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, etc.) We will definitely be back!

Nestled in bucolic Chester County minutes away from Longwood Gardens, this is not your ordinary bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Tack Room, which must have been recently and tastefully renovated (the walk-in shower is to die for)! The private dinner -- oh my word -- exceeded my wildest dreams. Hidden away in your own private wine cellar felt like an evening for royalty. With four courses, each one more delicious and plentiful than the previous, the meal could not have been more romantic or beautifully presented. The standouts were Sandy's salad with the accompanying rosemary rolls, the surf and turf featuring melt-in-your-mouth lobster, and the most attentive, but never intrusive service from our waiter, Owen. If you are looking for a romantic dinner to celebrate a special occasion, I can't recommend this enough! You will not be disappointed. The breakfast the next morning was beautiful and delicious. And the farmhouse picnic! The pictures on the website do not do it justice. Beautiful sandwiches tied up with raffia, chips, cookies, salads, oh my! The entire experience was so charming, I felt as though I jumped into the pages of a fairytale. Thank you to Lance and Sandy for curating an evening I won't forget!

Beautiful B&B hidden in the PA countryside. Sandy and Lance are extremely great hosts and we loved being welcomed by them and the wonderful home they have opened up. My wife and I enjoyed one night here for our 20th anniversary and my only regret was that we couldn't stay more this time. Breakfast was excellent and we hope to be able to return soon.

We had a fabulous time. Lance and Sandy were so warm and welcoming. They made our stay an absolute delight. The location and gardens are beautiful - just the get-away retreat we needed. They bent over backwards to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The rooms were well appointed - no detail overlooked. We give our highest recommendation for the Inn at Whitewing farms.

Our recent stay at the Inn was perfect. Lance and Sandy are the perfect hosts and make you feel part of the family. We were meeting friends we haven't seen in quite some time and Lance made sure our rooms were near to each other. We were able to enjoy cocktails on the patio and catch up on all our family news. The room we stayed in was large and well appointed. The breakfast was outstanding. We are talking about when we will return to enjoy the Inn.

All I can say is WOW! The Inn at Whitewing Farm was top notch. Besides being a spectacular B&B in a beautiful location, Sandy and Lance were exceptional hosts and made us feel welcomed, relaxed, and comfortable at all times. They were both so personable and friendly that we felt like they were family. Their attention to detail with fresh flowers placed on the breakfast tables along with a delicious gourmet breakfast makes the Inn at a Whitewing Farm a perfect destination for a relaxing getaway.

Sandy and her family have a very special place at the Inn at Whitewing Farm, and their love for this place and guests shows throughout. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and it is a quiet location. Everything is properly cleaned and maintained. We stayed at the Tack room, which is on the small side, but it was perfect for us: very comfortable bed (loved all the pillows) and an amazing bathroom (loved the design and the shower!). Excellent AC and ceiling fan. Parking right in front. The room had all the amenities to help guests unwind: toiletries, K-machine, coffee, and plenty of nice towels, and also a TV (WiFi available, too). We chose breakfast in the barn/dining area (it can be brought wherever you please in the property), and it consisted of scones, cake, a mini glass of granola, yogurt and a raspberry, and homemade waffle with berries and cream. Check in and check out were easy. There is an illuminated tennis court with a beautiful covered area overlooking the court, with sofas and tables. There is also a pond on the property. We enjoyed our short time at the Inn, only one night, but it is definitely a place where we will return.

Just got home from spending a 60th birthday celebration here. It cannot get more convenient to Longwood Gardens. It is literally 5 minutes to the entrance. Lance is an interesting fellow and is committed to making your stay enjoyable. We stayed in the Clydesdale suite. The room is huge and the bathroom floors were heated. Everything was perfect. We will definitely stay again. You should certainly give it a try.

I can’t rave enough about how much we loved our Whitewing stay! We met family members and we stayed in the Fats and Fanny Wallow rooms and enjoyed and relaxed so much. Being by the pond, listening to and watching the birds was very special. Rooms were immaculate, great shower, fluffy towels, and big thirsty towels for the swimming pool—we had everything we could possibly need. The breakfast was huge and so tasty! Many thoughtful extras were included at the breakfast table. Beds so comfy, waking to birds singing on the beautiful grounds, and the friendliest hosts you could ask for. The pool was such an extra treat, too. Thank you, we will all be returning!

Perfect in every way. The hosts are amazing, breakfast so delicious, immaculate room, wonderful towels & bed linens. The open door policy to the breakfast room (open 6am to 10pm) for ice, coffee, snacks, bottled water, wine glasses, etc., pushed it right over the top. So many inns forget these little conveniences can make a major difference in comfort & relaxation. We really appreciated & commented on these amenities throughout our 4 night stay. We’ll definitely return!

My husband and I spent two wonderful nights at the Inn at Whitewing Farm. The hosts could not have been more welcoming! They are a combination of totally laid back and hyper-efficient! Everything was just perfectly arranged. We ordered a charcuterie platter our first evening and it was simply AMAZING. Our two breakfasts were delicious and gracefully served at individual tables in the main room, so that one could chat with other guests if desired, but wasn't forced to sit at a big communal table. The grounds are gorgeous, it's deliciously quiet and only minutes from Longwood Gardens. Can't wait to go stay there again!

I’ve been planning a trip to Longwood Gardens for a long time and was very happy with my 2 night stay at Whitewing Farm. It is a great location to do local activities and so beautiful and comfortable. Looks exactly like the website photos. Just gorgeous and they couldn’t make you more comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and made with great care. I would definitely stay here again.
