My wife and I have visited Shipwreck Cove/Bluff Cove Trail several times now, and we absolutely love it. This hidden gem of a hiking trail offers breathtaking views of the cliffs and ocean, without the crowds that you typically find at other popular hiking spots in LA. The trail itself is not very difficult, making it accessible for hikers of all levels. From the starting point, you can see a panoramic view of Los Angeles, which is truly awe-inspiring. As you make your way down the trail, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of the ocean and coastline. It's a great spot to take in some fresh air and soak up the natural beauty of Southern California. One of the highlights of this hike is Shipwreck Cove itself - a secluded cove with crystal clear water and a unique history. The cove is a great spot to take a break and relax. It's important to note that right beside it is Flatrock Beach — this is not actually a beach. It's a bunch of decent sized smooth stones that sound really incredible as the water jostles them around with each wave. It's truly a one-of-a-kind experience. We highly recommend this hike to anyone who is looking for a beautiful spot that isn't overrun with tourists. It's a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of LA and reconnect with nature. Don't miss out on this hidden gem!

Bluff Cove Trail is a raw and beautiful place to take wedding portraits. I love bringing my couple there for their sunset photos or engagement session. Good shoes and good spirit mandatory as it's a bit of a hike to go all the way to the water but it's really worth it.

I went here in the morning during low tide. You can see so much wildlife if you take a short hike down. There were crabs and sea slugs everywhere! Sunset here is also gorgeous, definitely recommend visiting!

Been here a few times! Beautiful water and view!! Nice trail along the cliff! Water is freezing but in this heat it's the best! Also you can enjoy watching the people surfboarding

Such a beautiful springtime hike. Glad we ventured down the cliff. Went for a WHILE before we saw anyone. So rare to have a private beach experience in California. Wildflowers were in abundance. Very rocky so flip flops are not advised. Great place for a quiet picnic or a nice little getaway to read a book.

Bluff Cove Trail is absolutely stunning. It has parking on the street which is easily accessible. I brought my dog here and had such a lovely time. The view, breeze, and trail were awesome, but may be a bit of a challenge for some! We even got to dip our toes in the water which was soo refreshing.
