This museum uses the best of new and old. It is full of actual period items from the later 1800s/early 1900s, situated in recreated settings, put along side modern tech for the telling of the history of Webster, MA. Other senses are drawn in with sounds and sensations you may have felt if you were actually there. Quite a wonderful place to time travel.

This museum is amazing, Handicap accessible, the employees are so helpful and knowledgeable. I would come back again. When we walked in and got our tickets, we lost track of time and when we left it was three hours later. There is so much to look at and learn. This museum gives you the entire history of Samuel slater and the foundation of how Webster came to be. They were very detailed and do not miss a beat, with anything. I absolutely loved my experience with this museum.

This museum is a hidden gem. Strongly recommend. Lot's to do for adults and kids. Plan on staying at least 1 1/2 hours. Admission only $10 for seniors.

While visiting locally, I had some time to kill and was deciding between the Experience and a local art museum. Not knowing what exactly the Samuel Slater Experience had to offer, but hopeful from the positive reviews, my dad and I visited, and we were absolutely amazed. The exhibits were brilliantly designed and presented, and easily rival ones I’ve seen at major museums. With a wide variety of interactive portions, recreated town businesses, and great explainers, this is a great visit for adults and kids alike. We were very lucky to get a tour from one of the docents, who did an excellent job, and we learned a lot about the area. I spent the next day raving to anyone who would listen to me that they should visit. Also, Slater is 100% a traitor. It’s called corporate espionage.

This is an excellent museum. Very well done and well thought out. They clearly put a lot into it. I learned a lot about Samuel Slater's life and the development of industry in the US. There is also a lot of information about Webster MA which I'm sure can be applied to dozens of old industrial towns in New England. But Webster is a special place with a unique and fascinating history. There are interactive exhibits, some short videos on large, immersive screens and real original textile mill equipment. The staff is friendly and informative.

I had fairly low expectations walking in here because it is really in the middle of nowhere and who the heck is this Samuel Slater guy anyway? Wow though. I was blown away! It is small but powerful. They really pack a ton of education about living in the area during the Industrial Revolution into the small space. I’ve already recommended it to a bunch of family and friends. Side note, I went with a child who is non-verbal and on the spectrum. The staff was incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we might need. I can’t rave enough about the three people working on the day we went! Genuinely just good and kind people. Thank you to those behind this little gem for New England history lovers! We will be back.

Great little museum! With a nice mix of guided parts and go on your own. There were some cool interactive exhibits. See if you can find the post door. Prices for the tickets go up to 16$. A trip to the past to see what Samuel Slater was like and went through.
