WOW!!! This ranch EXCEEDED my expectations! Def worth the trip! I took my mom for Mother’s Day and was expecting to walk around seeing the alpacas but NO— the tour starts out with information on alpacas and every group gets their own alpaca to walk around with. The alpacas were even dressed up with bows and bandanas!! They were calm docile animals that are clearly great with kids!! There are DOZENS of places to take pictures— the whole place is an instagram heaven. The staff was SUPER nice as well!!! At the end you can feed the alpacas and even pet the bunnies and goats on site. Even if you just go for a photo shoot, it’s worth it! It reminded me of Fredericksburg in a way, & you def forget you’re in the valley. So glad the valley has cute experiences like this. I will be taking my girlfriends when the weather cools down for photos! 100/10 stars!

We had the best time at Alpaquita Ranch! We loved all of the photo ops and how friendly and well cared for the alpacas are. It is a very unique experience in that you actually get to walk your own alpaca. We had a fantastic conversation with Giovanni, the owner, and you can really tell how passionate he is about his business. I would recommend this experience to anyone!

My family and I stayed at the Casa Suri….for $385 we stayed 1 night in a very cute cabin like home with all appliances and utensils. The good: my family and I went on a “tour” they really hand you an alpaca that you walk around until you are ready to return it (no longer than 45minutes). There is plenty of photo op opportunities with other animals on the property such as bunnies, chickens, goats, sheep, lamas, and geese. In the morning we were able to feed the alpacas in the front yard which the kids loved. The bad: There was only one really sweet employee who seemed to love her job! The remaining of the employees seem to just go through the motions. When we got in they were still cleaning the cabin/home we were staying at from the previous occupants so we had to wait. There was no Wifi, it did not work at all and there is no signal. I did mention this to personal (may have been the owner) and they rebooted the internet but still no service. The breakfast was supposed to be at 9AM (this was told to me by the employee who checked my family and I in) and we received it at 10AM with checkout being 11AM…...the breakfast was strawberries, yogurt, croissants, and orange juice…..I had asked for creamer the night before and that morning for coffee but they brought flavored syrup as that’s all they had. I did come prepared so I brought my own eggs, ham, and coffee. I would say if you stay overnight make sure you bring all your own things and be prepared for no cell service and no wifi. For the area the price is a little steep ($385 for 20 hours) and I expected something different as the pictures on the website were misleading. My family and I did enjoy some quality time playing cards and board games.

Worth the time and worth the money.. this was an incredibly fun time for the family and the visit couldn't have gone better.. numerous photo opportunities with "your" alpaca around the area.. nice seasonal "sets" and backdrops made taking photos unique and the whole experience one of a kind... the folks running the ranch were awesome and there is a lot of love for what they do... with around 57 alpacas, we are tempted to go back again and again.. Update! 2nd visit even better than the first! The Alpaquita Ranch just keeps getting more awesome! You MUST get here immediately! Update! 3rd visit revealed more improvements to the experience! Wine bar now open, overnight stay now available in A frame, it just keeps getting better and better!!

Would definitely recommend for the kiddos. The Ranch has Good Settings for Pictures. The Dark Alpaca’s name is Oreo, and the lighter alpaca’s name is Sonny. These guys were a bit Stubborn, but the guide told us that some are. They sometimes didn’t want to cooperate and Sonny tried kicking my friend. I’d recommend bringing an umbrella because the sun can be harsh. There’s a guide who explains a few rules and what no to do. There’s a little gift shop where they sell nice souvenirs and actual fur.

I had been wanting to come and experience this place for a while. I was there this past weekend and I loved it. I was quite frustrated because of the heat, definitely will be back to experience it in cooler weather. The staff was helpful and quite knowledgeable about their alpacas. I got the most stubborn one of all, quite suiting, I must say. Lol. There is a on site photographer that will take pictures for you, either with your own phone or his camera... there isn't a charge unless you want them printed. This is a self tour and you even get your own alpaca to tour with you as you take photos at many of their farm house style decor stations

I love that the staff is so friendly and the fact that respect your space to enjoy your time there while still being equally available to you, should you need anything! They always have the cutest decorations and the best part, of course, the freaking adorable alpacas! It's definitely a place to visit.

We had such a beautiful afternoon celebrating my sister's birthday at one of the cutest ranches we've ever been to- Alpaquita Ranch. The fact that it's by our old stomping grounds of Monte Alto makes it even better. Plus there's a wine bar! The photo set ups were beautifully decorated on theme and our assigned alpaca, Queen Gambit, had a wonderful personality that fit perfectly with our group. We most assuredly will be back.

I loved the Ranch. Very clean & maintained. Had a unique experience walking my Alpaquita. The only thing is that it is in the middle of nowhere. But, it is definitely worth vising with the children.

This was a fun family adventure a short distance away from Edinburg! Tickets: There are four time slots available and I recommend purchasing online. I saw a family purchase there so I dont think its a big deal if you dont. The time slots allow a group of people to get an assigned alpacas for 45minutes to guide the alpaca and your family to various spots for photos. Each family gets one alpaca. We got three 1years olds to help train them. After 40mins, the staff starts guiding your timed group to the barn. Here you can feed your alpaca and others at the conclusion of your time. Alpaca: They are really calm animals. Occasionally they will try to run but you just have to hold them tight and they will stop. The owners and staff are walking around to help if anything were to happen. Its really safe. They are smaller than llamas. Other animals: They had farm dogs roaming around that were very friendly! They had a flock of ducks, an ostrich, sheeps, llamas, chickens, and bunnies to look at in other parts of the farm. (Which you can walk around to see with your assigned alpaca). Other items: The farm has a small cafe truck and a bar around for drinks after walking and feeding your alpaca. The restrooms look cute and ours were clogged the day we were there so plan on going to the restroom before driving out. They also had a gift shop with a select amount of items. We got keychains for $5 each as momentos.

Has many beautiful spots to sit and relax and see a beautiful sunset 💕 we went to the festival and it was PACKED!! So happy to see all the renovations and seeing the business flourish so well ❤️

Found this gem of a place on Facebook and I’m so glad I did! Loved the environment and all the animals were super friendly. Can’t wait to visit again!
