A unique experience, especially if you're traveling. Pros: the California Chicken Sandwich was outstanding and huge! Lots of avocado. The Cherry Wine was good. Bought a bottle for later. The service was very friendly and good. The inside is well kept and clean with a souvenir shop and bakery. Cons: the outside looks dilapidated and needs some repair. The fries were undercooked and tiny. Nothing more than an inch long. Prices are very high. A lunch burger or sandwich with a side is nearly $20. A soft drink is or iced tea is $4.50! Overall, if the prices were more reasonable, I'd be back. For the price, I'd expect better.

This restaurant is really neat. My husband has the Frikadeller and he said it was wonderful. Service was good. It wasn't very crowded on a Tuesday late afternoon. The cheese rolls were interesting. I didn't quite like them at first but we ended up asking for more! They have a gift shop with lots of goodies. They sell their pea soup. And they also sell the Greek seasoning they have on the table. Picked up a cheese danish and a fresh chocolate eclair on the way out too! They also have an event room on the second floor, a small pub beside the restaurant and a hotel next door.

Was disappointed that they didn't have 15 bean soup and nobody knew what I was talking about. However I did enjoy my pricey meal. My wife enjoyed her spit pea soup bread bowl.. Friendly waitress Tiffany was very helpful getting everything right away.. Also there's ample semi parking..

Not wowed by this place. Awesome building, food was kinda of a let down. I could see families really enjoying this place but if you don’t have kids I’d skip it. This place is famous for being famous at this point. Service was lame - the waitress flat told one of our people “no” when ordering a salad but didn’t explain what the options were. Maybe they were tired but it wasn’t a great start to our experience there. My steak was good, but not amazing. I didn’t get split pea soup but everyone who did thought it was just ok.

Great place in Santa Nella, Central California off off I-5 for awesome food. Reasonably priced and delicious. Must try the pea soup and cheese rolls. When traveling through, stop by for great service, atmosphere and excellent menu choices.

I've seen the billboards since I was a child and, at 30 years old, decided I'm finally going to go inside. Honestly, you'll feel a bit out of place when you walk in. Souveneirs are random beanie babies, sparse shot glasses, a couple shirts, etc. Don't let it all fool you though! The two ladies at the counter were extremely friendly and patient. I bought 2 wines, 2 pastries, and the infamous pea soup to go. ALL DELICIOUS!!!! Texture of the soup is thick, but delicious and creamy. Pastries are chef's kiss. The raspberry pastry was recommended by the lady who worked there and it was the perfect balance of sweet, tart, and flaky. The white pastry was a custard filled and I was a huge fan! Wines I got were sweet, gave a good buzz, and would be a great for a small gathering. Would definitely come back.

Pea Soup Andersen's is a little outdated. But always a fun place to stop by and get some food with a Swedish twist. I love the fact they have such a good array of tourist trap items like desserts, games, and souvenirs. Great place to stop to use the restroom and get some food on your way from Los Angeles to San Francisco. I had the club sandwich and it was really good and a good portion size.

I totally love this place!!! It's probably the best split pea soup in the entire world. And if you stay at the Best Western accross from their parking lot, you get 20% off your meal if you mention it to your server or by showing your room key. They also have a separate lounge area if you need some alcoholic beverages while you watch your favorite team play in a playoff... Enjoy and safe travels!!!
