There’s an outstanding 3.8 mile walking/biking trail that is paved around Creve Coeur. This trek is 98% flat and you will pass Sailboat Cove, Dripping Falls, Creve Coeur Water Rentals, picnic shelters, lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery. I walk this path frequently with one of my brother-in-laws. We see people walking their pets and parents pushing strollers. To avoid the crowds go during the week. There are two restrooms, one is at Sailboat Cove and the other is near Creve Coeur Lake Water Rentals.

My overall experience with this park was positive. This was my first time visiting it! As you will see from the myriad photos I uploaded, there are many things to see and do, here. In the first place, there is an area for going out on the lake and enjoying it! By area, I'm specifically referring to the area whereby one can rent kayaks and mini-rafts to go out on the water and travel from one end of the lake to the other. Furthermore, I noticed how large the park was, on the whole! Half of my pictures--in the area where I uploaded 100 plus photos--are from one side of the park. The other half are from a completely different area of the park where one has to traverse through a number of roads and turns and such in order to get there. You will also see that I found several spots that could be the equivalent of small gems! Areas that were very scenic and had little paths and walkways that opened up to beautiful views of the lake from afar. In yet another area of the park, which I guess would be a third area, there is a hill that one can travel upward to another loan shelter. This larger shelter gives way to a gorgeous view of the sun over the lake! As you can imagine, if one should be up there at the right time, one can experience a gorgeous view of the sun setting. That particular shelter also has a jungle gym area off to itself. Unfortunately, the jungle gym was presently closed to the public (even though there were a number of children playing in that area and their parents allowed them to play over there, despite the area being closed...) You might say to yourself, "If the park is this beautiful, why not give them five stars instead of four stars?" Well that's simple! It's because of the fact that the lawns, on the whole, were NOT very well-manicured! I found that quite disappointing. A park so beautiful and vast as this one should have lawns that are manicured to match the grandeur and beauty of its location. In addition, some of the trash cans were a bit overrun. Granted it was a holiday, I would still think and/or hope that the park would care enough to ensure that things were not so messy! I'll leave you with this final Point: If you have never visited this park in your lifetime, make it a point to do so! Even if it means traveling from another city and stayed, the commute would be worth it. I'm glad I finally had the opportunity to visit Creve Coeur Lake Park. And don't forget to see all the wildlife! I passed a number of deer walking about the property freely.

Creve Coeur Lake Park is the busiest Park in St. Louis Co. It usually has plenty of parking and things to do. There is a 4 mile paved loop around the lake to walk or bike. There is paddle boats and kayaking 🛶. There is a small beach and a small water fall. You can go to the eastern side of the park where there is hiking and MTB trails. Go ape is also located in that section of the park.

This is the place people enjoying themselves even during Corona lockdown. The place awesome for people to walk, sit back and enjoy the sunset. Some of them are taking bath, fishing, playing with dogs, skating. Parking can be issue during weekend. Be aware as there are some people seems to be intimidating in parking lot. Be safe with family. I must say, this place would have more enjoyable if pandemic wasn’t there. Advise to use face mask and maintain social distance norms while going to park. There are many people doing barbecue which gives beach like feeling.

Very nice long trail of about 6 miles around the lake. Perfect for biking or long walk or run. It has soccer fields, volleyball ground and options for canoeing.

Love this park. When I was a teen we spent many hours there and now I’m 74 and still love it. But one thing I HATE too see and the Police do nothing about cars parking on the grass near the waterfall turn around. The people then do this need to be stopped. My suggestion to the Park Police PLEASE start watching on the weekends and try to stop this.

I love this park so much I moved next to it. I was sad when they put the soccer field right where the sunset is. I used to walk down there at least two days a week to enjoy it. This is what it used to look like at sunset. So beautiful!

Creve Coeur lake is a wonderful park. It truly is a hidden gem right in my backyard. At times I forget that it is only a few minutes drive from my home. When my mother passed away last year I went to the park and took in the sights and sounds of the lake. I was at peace.

Love this park, always have since I was a kid and now I get to bering my kids and pups to it. There is so much to do and such a huge area to cover. This last time we just visited the water front, but we took the kids and walked the dogs. We regularly have picnics at the upper end of the park. My kids for 2-15 love here and so does their momma❤️

This is one of my favorite parks in the Saint Louis area to visit. Whether it is sailing, kayaking on the lake, having a picnic on the beach, or walking or bicycling around the lake are all enjoyable. Creve Coeur Lake is also an incredible place to birdwatch and do photography. If you time it just right you can get an amazing sunset photo.

Went to the park for a cycling ride on my road bicycle while my bride enjoyed walking the same paths. Paths are well used so as a cyclist one must be careful. Really enjoying riding in & around Creve Couer park.

My second time to visit this park. It’s beautiful and it’s best to go on weekdays because it can be crowded on weekends. Here are some photos I took.

Living near Creve Coeur Lake Park, I regularly enjoy the paths around the lake for walking, jogging, and biking. The park offers kayak and canoe rentals, inviting hiking trails, and great picnic spots for outdoor dining. An occasional meal at the Lakehouse Restaurant, with its fantastic view of the lake, adds to the overall fun experience. The park is a wonderful blend of outdoor activities, nature's beauty, and good food, making it an exceptional local asset.

This is my favorite St. Louis County park. It has several trails suitable for running, biking and hiking with diverse terrain including the lake, woodlands and natural rock formations. The 320 acre lake is popular for kayaking and canoeing as well as local rowing clubs. There is ample parking and good facilities for picnics an other gatherings.

Ventured to Creve Coeur Park Lake to witness the enchanting winter wonderland. The landscape, adorned in pristine white, reflects the week-long single-digit temperatures. The snow blankets both the ground and the lake, creating a serene and breathtaking scene. Deployed my drone to capture the mesmerizing vistas, eager to share this snowy spectacle with friends by YouTube video.

Beautiful lake, great loop surrounding it, accessible to walkers, joggers, bikers, boarders, etc, and it also loops around to other smaller bodies of water and a dog walking trail (don't take your bike here). I do think that if you want to get on a bike or skates and go fast and without stopping, you should find a time when it is not packed. The area is so nice, and also next to the golf courses, that the main walking path is often quite busy with pedestrians. You can weave in and out carefully but there comes a time when it simply doesn't work. The disc golf course views the lake many times and just got a remodel. It's known for being fairly beginner friendly but also sort-of long holes, allowing for people to throw fast and far without danger of losing discs. You can rent canoes and kayaks when they are open and there is a rowing club. I've gone here for years, ran and biked miles here. It's really a nice place, just very busy sometimes.

My favorite place to jog. I've seen more wildlife here than just about any other park, from bald eagles to box turtles, black rat snakes to Bambi. My family enjoys canoeing and flying kites here too.

Before they expanded the lakes size, cut down 800 trees, straightened the road out and tore down the old cabins? The lower park was awesome, had that Yellowstone old quaint park appeal. The upper park had unlimited parking and people flocked here in the thousands backing up traffic to 270 on Dorsett Rd. It was, the annual peaceful gathering of tribes and the right to Spring passage in the region .....before that, a day trip was to ride the streetcar to the end of the line, here and back to the city. Today it's a flocking center for the outdoor sport/physical activity minded of a different era, more about being active than absorbing ..

Love running here with my dog. Trails are always nice and clean, can get crowded on the nicer days but can't really blame people for wanting to get out and enjoy the weather

This is one of my favorite places to run in the area. The trail is clean and kept up. There is a lot to do at this park also. From Frisbee golf to kayaking. If you are looking for a nice park to run, bike, hike, or just get away from the everyday stresses of life, I say check it out.

Just went for a couple of rounds on bikes with my boys. Trail is flat and well paved. It has a respectable 15 mph limit which is probably fast for a shared trail with hikers and families out for a stroll. Beautiful views, nice people. It’s a treat

I have grown up coming to this park, which really has everything! Biking path, mountain biking trails, water activities, playground and baseball fields on the upper level, scenic waterfall with a historical story attached. The history of this park is quite fascinating!

Wonderful walking paths! If you want to get out of the house and get in some steps, come here.

  • 5/5 Mark W. 9 months ago on Google
In my opinion, this is the best park for walking and biking in the st. louis area. If you don't mind sharing the trail with lots of visitors, there is a gigantic lake to walk or bike around. But if you prefer less densly traveled areas, then the backside of the lake, where there is a connecting trail that leads you to the Katy Trail, will be more of your style.

I love this park, it has a beautiful pedestrian friendly trail for my walkers and runners, it is shaded by trees so it's perfect for sunny weather. I love listening to the animals as I take in fresh clean nature air. I can't believe this is in the middle of the city. My go to park for an easy outdoor walk/run. Around the water is a 4.3-ish mile paved loop.

Great for a long walk around the lake. Can't wait to get back again and rent a kayak or paddle boat. The beach area was hectic and full of people non-mask wearing. I would not recommend that part of the lake at this time.

A great place to do a variety of activities. From walking or biking around the lake, to kayaking or rowing in it - this park is big and well maintained. There are always marathons and other roadshows that come around (not currently due to virus). It can get crowded on a nice day in the afternoon / evening - go early if you want to be left alone. There is a smaller lake with a restaurant on the back side of the lake.

Beautiful park with a lake, beach, and miles of both paved and unpaved trails. You'll see walkers, runners, rollerbladers, cyclists, rowers, kayakers, and fishermen here at all times of the day. The lake is not open to swimming, but you have full access to a long beach with volleyball nets and kayak/paddle board rental. Rent a pavillion ahead of time online for your large group gathering.

Lots of parking and a nice large sandy beach area, for swimming!! Def going to be a regular spot for hubby and I!!!
