I would recommend this place to anyone. The beds are comfortable, the room is quiet, and the restaurant while only open on the weekends is fantastic. Spent time on front porch just rocking and catching up with a friend one day. It's close to Boone, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I collected comments from my family’s texts following our son’s wedding at Mast Farm Inn. We all loved the experience the Inn provided; the setting, the professional and generous help of the staff and the glorious delicious food. Here are my family’s real words… ...What wonderful memories I’ll cherish forever from this weekend! It was the best time ever!! And one day our grands will tell their grands the story of our family’s love and joy, our tartans and Mike & Jenn’s perfect Scottish wedding. ❤️❤️❤️❤️. ...That oatmeal was the best we’ve ever eaten. Al eats a lot of oatmeal. The Inn’s was so good. ...I thought everything was delicious last night and this morning. I keep nibbling on my leftovers. ...The food this weekend was quite amazing. ...Patsy loves my descriptions of the wedding weekend. Sounds perfect she said! ...EVERYTHING was delicious!! My biscuits and the apple cake were the breakfast highlight for me. ...Thank you for making such wonderful decisions about your wedding and its weekend. Your guests and the Inn made for the perfect atmosphere.

We had thee most special micro-wedding at the Mast Farm Inn. Everything from the scenery/decor to the food was incredible and tailored to our exact taste (especially the menu, and we had a bunch of dietary requests that their chef and staff handled with no problems-and the food was delicious). They absolutely nailed our Pride and Prejudice-essence theme, and made planning the wedding super easy and stress-free. I felt like I was able to completely relax and enjoy my wedding day! 10/10 experience, and I highly recommend.

Great location between Boone and Banner Elk. Close to two wineries and great restaurants. Nice area for hikes. Relax in historic cabin. We brought our own coffee maker which was a good idea. Perfect relaxing getaway.

We cannot say enough good things about the venue and staff at The Mast Farm Inn. Savannah was wonderfully knowledgeable and flexible in helping us plan our special day. The staff was so kind, thoughtful, and patient throughout the event, and gave us just the right level of support and privacy with our guests. The food was fantastic, the pastries beautifully made, and they added just enough of the elegant, fall-inspired touches that we had hoped for in our small yet extremely meaningful event. It will always be such a special place to us and thank you!

Staff was very rude and lacked empathy for my wife's situation that just had knee replacement surgery. I told them she wouldn't be able to walk acrossed the grass to get to the cabins and they just told me that the money was non-refundable they didn't even care about her situation and if that wasnt bad enough they charge you for a stay before you even arrive so buyer beware. They refused a refund so we left and if that wasnt bad enough I saw a mouse run across the floor in the dining area as I was leaving. I will call my bank and have the pending charge canceled so they don't steal my money. What a joke this place is.

My husband and I visited the Mast Farm Inn over the weekend for a short babymoon getaway. We arrived early on Friday afternoon. The General Manager Allison was super sweet and kind. She let us check-in to the Cousin Sarah room. We like coming to the Mast Farm Inn. To me, it feels like home away from home. It is very quiet and serene. The Cousin Sarah room had a keurig coffee maker. So we were able to unpack our things and cozy up with a good book and some coffee. The room had a fan and heater in the closet in case we were to need either. The room also comes with robes to use during your stay, which makes it even more cozy. I loved the layout of the Cousin Sarah room. The reading nook was a plus. The room had a double crawl foot tub as well as a separate bathroom area with a walk-in shower, toilet, and sink. We felt as though we had plenty of space. The coffee station in the room had kcups, sugar packs, and half-n-half creamer. Water bottles were also in the room. They had tea packs as well. I really have no complaints. The Mast Farm Inn has my husband and I wanting to upgrade our bedroom sheets and covers to the Comphy brand. So nice and luxurious. We can’t wait to visit again. Maybe soon.

There were too many perfect little touches to name. The staff was warm and welcoming. We were left a sweet note and a complementary bottle of wine in celebration of our wedding anniversary. No detail was left undone. We will make this a yearly tradition.

We love the Mast Farm. We were engaged there and then had our wedding weekend there too. Savannah, Velva, Chef Dom and the entire Mast Farm team made our event extra special with incredible service, amazing food and just overall wonderful hospitality. Savannah coordinated everything with our vision of the wedding and our guests had a really lovely stay at MFI. I would recommend the Mast Farm Inn for events and definitely romantic weekends. :):):)

We really enjoyed our stay in the Blacksmith Shop. We loved the massage and the River Nordic spa experience. How wonderful to have the barn across the street with food and drink! The restaurant at the hotel was good as well. They made me a gluten free chicken pot pie and it was so delicious. The spaces are a bit tight in the Blacksmith and the bed a little firm but we enjoyed hearing the water at night. We swam in the river and enjoyed the lavender shop and the Mast General store. If you get a chance Over Yonder is great for lunch or dinner as well. We will be back.

Such a wonderful place. We got married with family by our side and could not have dreamed of a better experience! Savannah did the most and really made sure we had everything we needed and that things ran smoothly. The staff is so welcoming and friendly and the food is absolutely phenomenal! Can’t say enough about how special this place is and will definitely be back!

Lovely historic inn, no detail overlooked. Check-in and check-out via text was perfect. Our room was well appointed and very cozy. Best of all, I was greeted with the most delicious chocolate birthday cake! Breakfast and dinner at the Inn’s Valle Tavern is not to be missed. A specially curated menu offers a locavore farm-to-table experience. Dietary restrictions and preferences are thoughtfully accommodated. Waitstaff go above and beyond, as do the Inn’s staff. We can’t wait to go back!

I've never seen a more wonderful sunset than over the fields at the Mast Farm Inn. The property could not be at a more perfect location. We stayed in the Cherry Room and I gotta say, its pretty dang comfy. Will have to comeback in the winter to use the wood stove. It's just too cool. I really enjoyed the Watauga River access too. It's very peaceful. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway, this is it!

I ❤️ this place! My BFF and I were celebrating our week-apart 60 something birthdays, and we arrived a little early for our 7 pm reservation for dinner at Mast Farm Inn restaurant. Such a surprise to find it was opening night at the Barn across the street! FABULOUS band, great ambience, good beer - such fun! The little shop has great NC goodies- so I bought a bunch for my rental home on Beech guest welcome packets! Then a drink in the Tavern followed by a delicious dinner…. I will make sure all my guests know about this unique and wonderful experience in this part of the NC mountains!

We celebrated a surprise Birthday for my husband's 70th and everyone had a lovely time. Savannah was the event planner and a gem to work with to make this a perfect evening. Chefs Cody and Dominic prepared an amazing dinner with a choice of Carolina Trout or Short Ribs. Both scrumptiously delicious and the mushroom pea risotto was creamy and yummy too. The side garden worked very nicely for cocktails and appetizers and the 2 rooms suited our party size very well. Marin, Savannah and Velva did a fabulous job taking care of us all, as did the other staff helpers. The champagne toast outside on the front porch and garden ended the evening with pure joy and happiness as we then sang Happy Birthday to the Birthday boy. An evening we will all remember for years to come.

Where do I begin? My wife and I took a little weekend getaway here and loved it. GET THE MASSAGE! Big highlights: -Food: Absolutely delicious. Had breakfast here 2 mornings and wish we hadn’t made dinner reservations elsewhere. I don’t know what the chef is doing back there, but 10/10 flavor. If in the area and not staying overnight, we’ll stop in just for the food. -People: Incredible. Very helpful and hospitable. Highly recommend. Call ahead and ask for recommendations, when live music is coming, and what else to book (massage, river tubing, etc.) -Rooms: They make you want to snuggle up with a good book and disappear for a week. I asked my wife to figure out where they got their sheets from because of how comfortable the bed was. -Other: Close proximity to great hiking, banner elk, blowing rock, and boone. Flexible check in and check out process that was seamless. Again, GET THE MASSAGE. Best way to end a weekend getaway before going back to work on Monday. 1 critique so you know I wasn’t paid to write this: Be mindful of when you take a bath in their awesome big tubs. The hot water tends to run lower during peak shower/bath times. Thank you!

Beautiful spot at the Mary mast cottage that my wife and I loved. Truly beautiful and lots of space. Our dog loved it too and very relaxing. Beds are super comfy and the service is unmatched. Dinner at the main house was fantastic Saturday night and so was breakfast at the next morning. This is the place for a relaxing vacation in the mountains and I hope to be back soon.
