We had our wedding ceremony and reception on the lawn outside of the Gamble Mill and our cocktail hour inside their Speakeasy event space and Republic Bar. The venue was simply amazing for our special day! We have not stopped getting compliments on the venue since. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. We also got the best pictures! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for an unforgettable wedding experience.

Quaint room. Lovely bar, restaurant, and surrounding area. Loved the river walk. Hotel and bar were open for a limited time. Both were lively and the drinks were great. Limited activities to do nearby. 2 great coffee shops in walking distance.

We had a wonderful impromptu stay at the Gamble Mill for our 6th wedding anniversary. We are local to Bellefonte and just wanted to get away together for a night and this was perfect! Had the most amazing drinks at the Republic too! Cannot say enough wonderful things about our suite, the gamble mill, and the republic! You will not be disappointed!

I hosted my son's fiancé's bridal shower in the Speakeasy and it was fabulous! It's the perfect space for any event! The staff was wonderful to work with too! I look forward to using the space again in the future. Thank you!!!

We recently had an event for Girl Scouts at the Speakeasy. It was such a great space to celebrate the girls' achievement. Much thanks to Jon for ensuring we had everything we needed for a simple but exciting evening!

The Gamble Mill is a beautiful and historic establishment. Our daughter's girl scout troop held their bridging ceremony in the Speakeasy. It was an outstanding space! Highly recommend!

My daughter's girl scout troop used the speakeasy for their bridge ceremony event. It was a wonderful space with lots of charm and made the girls feel so special for their big night. It was cozy and intimate and just right for our gathering.

We absolutely loved our time staying at Gamble Mill. Our suite was large and comfortable. We had a wonderful meal at Creekside and visited Republic several times - a true gem. Really enjoyed reading the book about the mill that was in the room.

We had a ceremony in the Speak Easy and it was perfect. The room looks so amazing on its own that we didn’t have to bring in extra decorations. The ambience and atmosphere are phenomenal. Our entire group was beyond pleased with the location, space and ease of everything! Thank you!

We had my daughter's Girl Scout bridging ceremony in the Speakeasy space and it was breathtaking! The girls felt so special and celebrated being in such a beautiful room. It was comfortable yet elevated and the pictures turned out gorgeous. All the details and care that went into creating this space make it one of a kind! I highly recommend considering using it for your next, special event.

Wow. Very refreshing to find art and culture in places you least expect. The architecture and ambiance is incredible. And such exemplary service! Professional, engaging and kind. I was a bit uncertain as I entered the building but felt very comfortable as staff including the OWNER…making signature cocktails responded with respect and interest. And for an historical business, it is ADA Compliant! Imagine that. A job well done. Would love seeing a Holiday vendor event in this space. # R76

I do not know where to start! My stay here was just amazing and would definitely recommend over hotel chains. 1. Parking - plenty of parking! 2. Suite Interior - stayed at the Dr Elias suite, it was phenomenal. Spacious rooms and living room + dining room. Complete utensils in the kitchen. 3. Creekside - great happy hour choices plus awesome bar tender! 4. The overall environment was just relaxing. Great place to take a break from the loud city noise. 5. Beside a local mart! Will definitely be back soon!

This is truly a gem right in the heart of central pa. I loved how walkable the area was with several options for things to do and places to eat. We stayed for 2 nights and the accommodations were beautiful the perfect mix of old exposed brick and modern interiors. We ate at creek side for dinner and had cocktails at the republic and both exceeded our expectations. The staff was super friendly and attentive, the food was great and cocktails top notch. The only suggestion I would have is that since we had a full kitchen we were going to make breakfast but the cookware in the room was lacking. Aside from this I can’t complain about a single thing.

Rented the Speakeasy for a private event. Guests enjoyed the atmosphere & the venue was ideal for 35-40 people. Bartender & drinks from The Republic were great. We liked the option for choosing our own catering.

Our stay was great overall, but there are a few opportunities for improvement. The design of the room is beautiful and it was well equipped. The bedding was magical and kitchenette was nice. Issues: 1. shower has zero water pressure. Rain shower heads are fine, but this was especially bad. There needs to be a handheld wand in the shower to be able to wash hair. I had to go to family nearby to shower. 2. Supposed to be a pet free room but there was long black dog hair everywhere, especially under the bed. I have allergies, so not appreciated. 3. There is an iron, but no ironing board. 4. Bluetooth speaker in hallway was playing music loudly the whole stay. Way too loud inside the room. With some small adjustments these rooms will be amazing getaways! Unfortunately bar and restaurant were not open for the duration of our stay, so no comment there.

The room is beautiful, the mill is charming. The two major issues for me were the door lock and the shower, the doors need to be manually locked from the inside and the lock button needs to be pressed from the outside to lock the doors which isn't obvious, you'd expect the electric lock to lock when the door closes like at a standard hotel. The shower has a rainfall shower head which while cute makes it take 2-3 times as long to actually shower while you hope that you got all the soap out of your hair because there is absolutely no water pressure in that showerhead. For getting ready for work on a business trip this is not helpful. You also cannot reach anyone for service, the phone just rings and goes to voicemail and there is no front desk. You are on your own for the stay.

I stayed in the Ted Conklin suite the night before Ironman 70.3 Happy Valley. A unique place! Very nice. Very clean. I received door codes for check in the day before. Everything went smoothly. Nice kitchen. I would definitely stay here again! I only saw stairs, not sure if there is an elevator, but if stairs are an issue for you it might not be the best place to stay.

I rented the speakeasy for a family event and it was perfect! Jess was awesome in answering all of my questions and coordinating with the bartender to make sure we had the perfect drink selection. The room was beautifully set up with plenty of seating for everyone. The bartender made outstanding drinks, and was very accommodating and sweet. We will absolutely be renting this venue for future family get togethers. Not to mention the pricing of the venue including hiring the bartender was very reasonable. Highly recommend!

Lovely hotel in quaint historical Victorian town. The whole place gives rustic mill industrial vibe. In house restaurant has outstanding food. Within walking distance to many locations.

Room was very nice except for two things. First the blinds did not block light so there was too much light in the room during the night. There was not an iron or ironing board in the room which I think is a standard expectation. It is self check in the the restaurant and bar are only open for a short time so there really is not much service. It is a charming town and a great location. The relocation of this historic mill is spectacular and made the stay worthwhile even with these shortcomings
