What a wonderful bed and breakfast we happened upon! The bed and linens were superb, the views spectacular, and that breakfast…omg! Fresh blueberry pancakes, amazing sausage, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, greasy juice and my favorite, a goat milk latte. Gina was an amazing host. Check in was very easy, we just used a code to open the door which was great because we got in late. I would highly recommend Mountain Goat Lodge. I wish we had time to stay for more than just one night!

So grateful I found this place. Gina & Darcy are very passionate about their goat farm, cheese making and everything that goes with the farm. And even after 13 years of running the lodge, they serve all their guests an exceptional breakfast and treat everyone with such kindness and caring. Highly recommend!

We loved staying at the Mountain Goat lodge. We were disappointed we didn’t get to stay longer. The reviews are all true. Fantastic breakfast and coffee. Views are amazing. Gina and D’Arcy are interesting and fascinating. We’ll find a reason to come back!

Our stay here was wonderful. We came here as a little weekend getaway for our anniversary. Our room in the lodge was so cute and super clean. Gina and her husband were wonderful and accommodating. They made us delicious homemade breakfast and coffee. We took the cheese making class with Gina and it was awesome!! She gave us so much helpful information to make cheese at home. We ended up using the feta we made in the class to make the pasta recipe she gave us, and it was delicious. They had so many adorable baby goats at our time of visit, all of their goats were super friendly. We might make this a regular thing, we would love to come back again. Thanks for everything <3

Wow! Gina and her husband are fabulous hosts. We stayed here with our two year old twins and had so much fun. The breakfasts are amazing. Something different each day! The kids love the homemade yogurt! It is such a wonderful experience. The room was incredibly comfortable. The kids loved petting all the baby goats! The cow and the lamas were a hit too. They even got to see a goat get milked. They enjoyed exploring the property on all the hiking paths. The views from the lodge are amazing and it is convenient to town. We rode our bikes into Salida! I only wish I had found this sooner. We will definitely be back for another stay!

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Mountain Goat Lodge! The owners were so gracious and they took time to tell us the stories about their lodge! Our suite was exceptional! The meals were terrific, and Gina and her hubby (the owners) would make me any kind of specialty coffees I wanted!

Had a great stay!!! Enjoyed hiking with our dog and he played with Layla the entire time. We loved that this place was pet friendly and our dog could eat breakfast with us laying by our side. The goat theme was unique was good topics for discussion. Gina fixed us a hot breakfast and it was delicious. The room accommodations were nice and the beds slept well. Was overall a great stay and a good experience!!!

We are absolutely blown away by the one-nights stay we had at the Mountain Goat Lodge. This is not just an Airbnb, this an traditional bed and breakfast - and it is absolutely the best one you can find! We went hiking on the property, played with baby goats, and our small dog had a wonderful time playing with their livestock guardian. We had the best cup of coffee here, and Gina made us an incredible homemade breakfast! I haven’t felt so at home in years. This was the perfect place for us to de-stress and unwind. If you are looking for an incredible stay, just book this one now - it’s not just a place to sleep, it’s one for the memory bank :)

Greatest Of All Time Bed and Breakfast resorts we have ever stayed at! Beyond our expectations from the moment we walked in we loved this place! It’s super clean, super fun with the goats, and the breakfast is spectacular!

We absolutely love this place and have been repeat visitors for 10 years. The location is great and the views are gorgeous—from the Lodge and throughout the area, which is less than 3 hours from metro Denver on a scenic highway. There’s so much to do year-round in the vicinity: hot springs, rafting, hiking, cycling, skiing, day trips, etc. The historic downtown is just 15 min away and has a nice variety of fun restaurants, breweries, wine tasting, shops, galleries. Salida has a number of festivals and is great for thrifting. The rooms in the Lodge are very well appointed and easy to relax in. The proprietors are friendly, funny and interesting, and the vibe is casual and comfortable. Breakfasts are hearty and delicious and always feature food grown on the farm. And the goats (and chickens, ducks, llamas and dogs) are marvelous entertainment! Dog-friendly and family-friendly too.
