Plan a whole day if you have an appointment. At least an hour in the waiting room, 5mins with nurse then wait an hour to an hour and a half for the doctor to come in and spend 5-10mins, then wait another 30-40mins for the nurse to come back for any vaccines. It takes at least a half hour (if your lucky) for someone to answer the phone. They like to triple book appointments then either cancel last minute or just have you wait for hours. This is my experience with pediatric, OB and radiology in the Kingston and Rhinebeck offices. It was bad with CareMount, it’s so much worse with Optum! They have also changed their child screenings, they don’t care about development at all, just the quickest, bare minimum exam they can do. Oh and if you need a copy of any of your medical records (ex: physical or vaccine for school, it takes 10 business days) They are too big for their own good, don’t care about the patients at all, just about the money they can hoard by booking as many appointments as possible. They can cancel any time they want, if you cancel within 48hrs it’s a $50 fee, it doesn’t matter the reason (like mine if spending the night in the ER).

If I could give it zero or negative stars, I would. Since optum has taken over the customer service is gone! Horrible phone etiquette by anyone that schedules appointments or takes messages. The one girl literally was yawning in my ear as she was answering. You could tell she was working from home and still in bed. Her attitude was horrible! Clearly miserable and should find another job. But that's all the phone people I've spoken too so maybe train on what customer service is. You sit on hold for 15 min to sometimes an hour just trying to talk to someone. Messages are not getting to the doctors in a timely manner like they used to before optum took over. Optum makes it very clear they dont care about the patients, only the money. Give Tina her private line back so we can get directly to the office instead of having to wait and talk to rude people that have NO customer service skills! (I've worked in medical for 15 years, I know and understand how it works. Get rid of optum!)

It doesn't matter what name they use. They are the pits. Long waits, and poor billing practices. Never a call back and no response to emails. Patient portal is a nightmare. I was due a refund because of an overpayment. They sent me a notice post marked 5/3/2023 to inform me that I have to respond by 2/1/2023 for my refund. Now, I have to continuesly check with the state comptroller's office for unclaimed funds. But, they'll dog you for your co-pay and insist that you provide a credit card to keep on file. Never pay up front, demand that they bill you. If you can, stay away from here. 11/27/2023 still no refund. I'm pulling my kid out of their pediatrics department. Better dead than here.

Truly unbelievable. I waited THREE months to be scheduled with Dr Montera bc I heard from other family members that he was good. I called2 days ago and confirmed my AUG 14th appt. It was confirmed w the office. Just received a call that they are canceling my appt and I would need to wait until late fall to book with him. They asked if I would like to book w another Dr. If that were the case I would have done so three months ago. Thanks for absolutely nothing. Completely unprofessional!

Terrible experience, I was told a visit(without insurance) was $150 to see the doctor….needed a Covid test and general checkup. Got a bill 2 weeks later for $1100….they charged me $350 for the office visit…$130 for the Covid test which I expected…and $770 for some random viral test that I wasn’t told about and didn’t receive because they only swabbed me once. Couldn’t be more upset with this place and their deception, and the fact that they took advantage of a person without insurance. Never again

One star is very generous given the fact that I entered the urgent care waiting room I was the only one there. There were at least 5 people that came in after me and they got called in to be examined while I remained sitting there for at least an hour. After the last patient that was behind me got called in before me I had enough and got up and left. This is terrible and should not be allowed to continue. I will never go to that urgent care again.

Ophthalmology department here is trash!. I’m certain you’ll leave there worse than you went in. The machine that they use to check your eyes, which isn’t supposed to actually touch your eye at all. They zoomed all the way in my eye and touched my eye with the machine. A blazing hot bright light that burns into your eyes, imagine it touching your eyes!. A bunch of degenerates. Lord only know what kind of damage they did!.

They owe me $20.00 for an insurance overpayment- I have proof that I overpaid, I’ve submitted that proof, and no one responds to my various emails or returns my calls for several weeks now. Caremount was bad, but this gigantic OPTUM conglomerate is HORRIBLE! I’ve been with my primary, Dr. for 25 years, but unfortunately I’m going to start looking for all new physicians now with this new OPTUM group. Horizon in Orange & Ulster is definitely a better choice in my experience.

I don't like the fact that they took the nurse lines away any the scheduling lines to make a appointment but overall I love my Dr

I have been sent a bill in error and cannot get Optum to respond to my questions. First phone rep simply wanted to get me off the phone and told me she didn’t know what the bill was for and was clearly hoping I’d give up asking. The emails I have sent since then have not been answered.

The nurse was really nice, but I forget his name. I had a rapid test done was told I would get a call in about an hour. That was 7 hours ago and still no call. I have called and either no one answered or I was sent to the nurses phone where no one answered. I will not he back

Since Optum has taken over the services have all gone downhill. I was billed for an appointment that THEY cancelled day of, and all attempts to reach them to correct it did not work (phone calls, emails, patient portal). Finally I got a notice it was going to collections so I just paid it rather than dealing with that, even though I never received the service. When I finally got my appointment (originally scheduled for June, finally happened October 31st) it was determined I needed a follow up after some tests were done. It's now been over a month and I have not received test results. I have called 4 times, sent messages via patient portal, done everything I can. All I have gotten was my bill! I cannot schedule my follow up until I know the results, why is it so difficult for them to relay information?Absolutely ridiculous. My Dr is amazing, but I will be ending all services with them and look elsewhere. The level of care since Optum took over has just made it impossible to continue with them.
